Finally we may see the successor of Sony DSC R1 camera. According to least rumors coming from the new sources the upcoming camera name will be Sony RX5 and t will feature a APS-C size sensor and unfortunately it’s coming with a fixed lens and not a zoom lens as we have seen the previous version of R1 series camera.

- 23mm f/1.8
- 5-Axis SteadyShot INSIDE Stabilization
- XGA OLED Tru-Finder EVF
- Built-In Wi-Fi with NFC
The camera will feature same sensor as we have seen in the recently announced Sony A6500 camera. The sensor will be paired with a 23mm f/1.8 lens. And it will also have 5-axis built-in image stabilization. The Sony RX5 camera is also coming with XGA OLED Tru-Finder EVF same as of RX1r.

The exact announcement date of the camera is not known yet, but it’s expected to arrive in CP+ show February 2017.
The camera is coming against to compete with the upcoming Fuji X100F camera, At the same time Canon is also expected to announce APS-C sensor based camera in near future.

Before we begin we have told you few days back that we will going to see images of the upcoming X100F camera from the beaning of December 2016. And as we were expecting the image of the upcoming Fuji X100F camera leaked today. The camera look similar to the precious generation of the X100 series camera but due to the bad quality of image leaked we are not able to confirm anything related to the same.
The camera is rumored to carry the same sensor as of the Fujifilm X-Pro 2 camera and rumored to feature the same lens as used in old models.

It’s look like Canon is now busy in preparing Fuji X100F competitor. According to a latest rumors coming from an new source the upcoming Canon G1X Mark III camera may have a APS-C sensor. If we look at the current sensor size of the camera we will find that the APS-C sensor is quietly 20% more bigger than Canon 1.5 inch sensor.
 But there is nothing to get excited about since the rumor mill says the information is coming from a new source, so take it with a a pinch of salt.
But at the same time if you look at the patents, Canon does have a compact camera with a APS-C size sensor as we have published on on July 16th, 2016 and on the same day we got a lot of emails saying So is this a G1X II replacement?
PS: As we have mentioned earlier the Canon G1X camera life cycle was 2 year and 1 month and current Canon G1X Mark II camera is 2 years, 8 months old. So announcement of new product is expected soon.
