Fuji X-A5 Coming on January 31, 2018

Fuji X-A5 coming next month

Fujifilm X-A3 camera was announced Aug of 2016. The X-A series is a entry level series of Fuji which carries APS-C CMOS Sensor, instead of X-Trans.

Fuji X-A5 Coming this Month

Now, According to latest rumors Fuji will going to announce the X-A5 camera on 31 of this month. Not only camera its also expected that, the camera is coming with pencake XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 zoom lens. The specification of the camera not know yet but we do believe, Fuji will keep it simple since its a entry level camera.

Fuji X-A5 Competitors

  • Olympus E-M10 Mark III (4K, 5 axis IS)
  • Panasonic G85 (4K, 5 axis IS)
  • Canon EOS M100 (DPAF, Full HD)
  • Sony A6000 (Hybrid AF, Full HD)

But, if we look at competition then we have Olympus E-M10 Mark III camera as well as Panasonic also have G85 camera, both features 4K UHD recording and built in 5-axis image stabilization.

Now, if we take a look at other Entry level Mirrorless camera under $600-$700 price range we have Sony A6000 and Canon EOS M100, both camera limited to Full HD recording but features blazing fast AF (Canon DPAF and Sony’s Hybrid AF)

So, at the end Fuji have to find it’s place among competitors, If they are taking Sony A6000 And Canon EOS M100 as their competitor then they have to introduce X-Trans sensor for blazing fast auto focusing system, OR if they are taking other mirrorless cameras such as Panasonic G85 and Olympus em 10 Mark III as their competitor then they have to announce at least 4k With decent core specs.

At the moment we don’t have the Core specification of the camera yet but we will going to update you soon as we going to have it.

Panasonic GH5S vs Panasonic GH5 ISO 12800

In this sample image you can clearly see despite of having low resolution the Panasonic GH5S has 10 Megapixel sensor getting very clean images.
In Panasonic GH5 image you can see significant amount of noise is present but at the same time you are getting also with more details compared to the GH5s.

Panasonic GH5S vs Panasonic GH5 ISO 25600

Panasonic GH5S is able to maintain noise very effectively. The image captured by Panasonic GH5S showing minimal amount of noise at ISO 25600
Take a look at the image captured by the Panasonic GH5 camera at at ISO 25000. Panasonic GH5 showing a very high amount of noise at ISO 2500 and the image is completely useless. Panasonic GH5S camera is prove to be excellent tool still shooters as well as videographers / cinematographers.

But and then we have to say that Panasonic GH5S is missing the built-in image stabilization system so you have to get external image stabilizer support that is a gimble while shooting at low light conditions

Why Image Stabilization is Missing Inside Panasonic GH5S ?

Panasonic GH5S wihout IS

Well we all have a this question in our mind, Why Image Stabilization is Missing Inside Panasonic GH5S ?

Panasonic announced Panasonic GH5S one of the best video centered mirrorless camera till date, and we all know that Panasonic image stabilization is just after Olympics OMD series (Olympus OMD E-M1 Mark II IS is best in the world). Panasonic GH5 camera features 5 Axis image stabilization with DUAL I.S support that synchronises with the lens based image stabilization and works parallely to keep give excellent support while you are working in low light conditions.

But why low light dedicated video camera missing image stabilization inside it ?
Before we begin let me tell you that the recently announced Panasonic GH5S camera features redesigned 10 Megapixel sensor with High ISO range starting from 80 to 204800. Not only that the Panasonic GH5S camera has become the first consumer camera to offer DCI 4K recording that is cinematic 4k recording which is better than the UHD 4K recording of the Panasonic GH5 camera. Also Dual native ISO so has been introduced which was present in the professional camcorders of Panasonic.

To process the low light videos and gives you a very clean output Panasonic GH 5S need enormous processing and increased sensor sensitivity
All this activity generate a lot of internal heat and that may affect the image or video quality when used for a longer period of time or during a hot day.

So, they have decided to put the sensor on solid object to sink up the sensor heat quickly. The floating sensor 5-axis IS module won’t tackle the sensor heat as effectively as the Sensor fixed sensor does with heat sink support. Hence to tackle the heat generated by the sensor possibly they have decided to remove IS system.

No Canon 7D Mark III in 2018 ?

Canon 7D Mark II image

According to latest rumors we may not see the successor of Canon 7D Mark II camera in 2018. sources of veteran rumor mill suggest that Canon 7D Mark III camera isn’t coming in 2018 but if it does then it will be Q4 of 2018. Since, no solid information is available related to 7D Mark III camera right now.

Ok, the above information was what the sources said to a veteran rumor mill

But what I personally expect that canon should update the camera in the year of 2018 otherwise no will going to buy 7D mark 2 camera for now.

As for the fact Canon 7D Mark II announced on 15 Sep 2014 (3+ year old cam) is a  flagship Canon camera and it is limited to full HD recording mode.  At 2018 If you look around at Sony a 6500 OR Nikon d500 all  these flagshp camera features 4K recording option. And some of the mid range mirrorless cameras also like Panasonic G85 (at B&H) features 4K video recording with 5axis Image stabilization (Dual I.S) at $897.

DXO Canon 7D Mark II

Sensor of 7D Mk II need an upgrade. And one of the most important thing you should note that the sensor of Canon 80d which is a mid-tier camera is better than of Canon 7D Mark II in terms of dynamic range and low light performance.

So, What I think that Canon should desperately update the 7D mark 2 camera as soon as possible without any delay.

Do share your thoughts with us.
