Sony is holding a press event on January 8, 2024, at 5:00 PM Pacific Time. According to the latest information coming from rumor mills, Sony is expected to announce a new FX Cinema Line camera. There will be no Sony Alpha camera announcement on Jan 8, 2024. However, it’s unclear which FX Cinema camera is about to arrive at the Sony Jan CES 2024 event. So, we have two options either Sony will bring the Sony FX6 Mark II or we will see a brand new Sony FX9 Mark II, the chances of having a Sony FX3 Mark II are slightly less compared to the two mentioned earlier. According to the latest rumors, the Sony FX6 Mark II is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2024, most likely in January. As you can see from this list, the FX6 was made in China and does not feature Bluetooth connectivity. Similarly, the upcoming camera is also made in China and does not feature Bluetooth connectivity either. It’s a trimmed-down version of the Sony A6700 camera made for content creators. As we have told you earlier that Sony A7III announcement is overdue and just before the announcement of Sony A7III we have also posted the update with an A7II image that Something big is coming. You can’t see meSony is more strict now and in-general prior to the announcement of any camera from any brand we get its core specs and images for sure. But, something weird happened with the Sony A7 III announcement and we haven’t received anything related to the A7 III camera [No leaked image or specs]. This rumor is coming from China and according to the tipster a New Sony Lens announcement may happen this week. The name of the upcoming lens is said to be 16-35mm F2.8 and other lens name is still unkonwn. The tipster also added that Sony is not in mood to announce A7RIII or A7II anytime soon.
