Nikon isn’t attending the CES event (you can also check here). That directly means Nikon will not going to announce the Nikon D5s anytime soon.
If you look at past, Nikon was using the CES platform to announce flagship cameras.
Still, we have a week left so there is a possibility that we may see Nikon during the event.

According to latest rumors Canon 7D Mark III camera is likely to arise sometime Summer of 2018. One of the biggest drawback of the existing 7D mark 2 camera (September 15, 2014) was, the limitation of Video recording in Full HD mode. IF you look around the competition all the Major competitors / flagship APS-C sensor based Mirrorless camera does record 4K video.
So, we do expect canon will desperately release APS-C flagship camera by having a 4K recording option in 2018 and a bit of advance core specs that matches the current competition.
Core specs of the camera isn’t available yet but we do expect Canon will include
Rumored Core Specification of Canon 7D Mark III Camera
- New sensor around 28MP
- 4K video
- C-Log
- More dynamic range than 7D2
- Better ISO performance than 7D2
- Tilt-able display with touch interface
- New generation of Dual Pixel AF
- More video oriented than 7D2
- Higher feature set compared to 7D2
- Same introductory price as 7D2
We can’t configure what actually coming since nothing is clear in the core specification of the upcoming camera.

Leica M10 (Black | Silver) result published at DXO Mark Lab. The overall test score of the camera is 86 and its just behind the Leica SL with an overall score of 88. The Portrait (color depth) score of 24.4 bits and a Sports (low-light ISO) score of 2133. Take look at the comparison between Nikon D850, Sony A7R III and Leica M10.
Nikon D850 and Sony A7R III scored a total of 100 Marks in the DXO test score and will cost you just half of Leica M10. So which camera will you buy ?

A new patent surfaced over the web that shows Nikon is working on Phase Detect Autofocus Sensor. However we have published several patent in past that shows Nikon is actively working to bring Phase AF sensor inside DSLRs and Mirrorless.

Canon Latest Patent reveled that Canon is working 400mm F5.6 Lens for APS-C DLRS ? If you look at the translated text of the original japans patent it look like the upcoming 400mm F5.6 lens could be first Telephoto zoom lens for Canon crop sensor DSLRS.
