Sony RX100 V Mark II Announced in Japan

Sony announced a new compact RX100 series camera today in Japan and new compact camera not actually new its a refreshed version of Sony RX100 V camera. The official name of the camera is Sony RX100 M V A literally you can say if Sony RX100 V mark II.

New Features inside Sony RX100 M V A / Sony RX100 V mark II

  1. Sony added a new image processor inside the camera, due to that the overall performance of the camera is improved.
  2. New noise reduction algorithm as well as image decoding algorithm is also being added inside the camera. So, you can get clean images while shooting at higher ISO range.
  3. Buffer is also improved inside the Sony RX100 V mark 2 camera. Earlier the camera was limited to 150 jpegs in continuous burst, but now you can Shoot 230 jpegs in single burst. This is definitely a big improvement inside the Sony RX100 V mark 2 camera.
  4. Sony RX100 V mark II camera also arrived with improved autofocusing performance. The autofocus accuracy the speed and the tracking performance of the compact camera improved.
  5. Lot of improvements have been made inside the Sony RX100 V mark 2 camera. Now you can select the quality of JPEG images while selecting the RAW + JPG shooting mode.

Physical Difference Between the Two

Literally both new and old models are almost same. But yes there is a minor difference between the two camera, In the newer version of the camera My Photo style logo has been removed as you can see in the image below. Rest all physical design and buttons placements remains exactly same.

At the moment we don’t know when Sony will going to release this camera model in rest of the world. We will going to update you very soon as we get any new information related to the upcoming cameras.

Fuji X-T3, Fuji XF-10 and GFX-50R Coming

Now We do have three Camera in announcement pipelines but what about Fuji X-PRO3 camera. Few weeks ago we have told you in one of our post that Fujifilm X-Pro 3 camera early prototypes in the hands of few X-Shooters / Pro-photographer for test purpose, according to the rumors we have received.

It is very clear with leaked information that Fuji is also preparing to announce X-Pro 3 camera. The announcement date of the camera isn’t know yet,  but we do know Fuji introduces their new X-trance CMOS sensor technology in the market with the announcement of new flagship camera. So, not only X-Pro 3 we are also waiting for the arrival of X-Tran IV sensors.

Nikon D650 and Mirrorless Fullframe Coming OR Something Else ?

Latest update coming from trusted Japanese sources Nikon and 1701 and and 1711 registration details are updated and according to the latest information both camera are using EN-EL15a battery. So possibly we will going to see Nikon D650 and a Mirror less camera very soon ? Take a look at the updated details of the cameras below.

Nikon  D650 Arrival Confirmation ?

We all know that Nikon D650 camera is 4+ year old, completely outdated and desperately waiting to be replaced. Surprisingly Nikon D750 sales volume is still good according to online retailers. And if Nikon goes on schedule update of their DSLRs as they have done in past, then for sure Nikon D650 announcement is next few months. We will not going to talk much about the core specification of the upcoming camera but for sure we will going to see introduction of 4K Videos in Nikon entry level DSLRs. It’s already too late but as they say, better late than never. Hybrid Sensor in DSLR? Well Nikon is working on their own customized versions of DualPixel CMOS AF sensors as we have seen the recent patents, So it is possible that we may see Nikon first Hybrid Sensor based DSLR soon or they will save  Hybrid sensors for upcoming Fullframe Mirrorless cameras. It all depend upon Nikon.

Other Possibility – Nikon Fullframe Mirrorless ?

It may be possible these two or possibly one of them are mirrorless model, and they will going to use similar batteries EN-EL15a as power source.  As we are getting continuous set of information from past that Nikon is gearing up announce their first Fullframe Mirrorless models this September, on or just prior to Photokina event.

Light L16 Camera Makers Working on 9 Camera Module Based Smartphone

We know Light 16 camera from a while. The light L16 camera was made with 16 independent camera module in a compact body to create DSLR like out of focus performance. Literally it was being called a true DSLR killer.

Light L16 camera at 100% – 16 camera modules merging capability isn’t flawless at moment.

However the camera received a mixed response from the market and pixel peeper group wasn’t so happy with the file merging capability of the camera. Of-course it will become better with time and firmware updates.

Now, According to latest news the light L16 company is developing a smartphone that could have 9 camera module on the rear side.

That’s really interesting because the L16 compact camera have a 16 set of camera modules and the smartphone that is expected to arrive at the end of 2018 is said to have nine independent camera module inside which is of course look far advance than today’s 3 camera module based smartphones.

But, at the same time the camera isn’t so cheap and we are also expecting the smartphone will going to be very expensive and out of reach for general smartphone consumers.

But that’s all really nice moves to upscale the computational photography to a next level, and once light launches smartphone in market. Then many other smartphone makers will going to create similar solution and affordable price tags to beat it. As we have generally seen in the smartphone market when a particular company address a new feature inside smartphone, other manufacturers also copy they accept by lowering down the price to compete against each other.

Well that’s important news to me because the smartphone camera market is now getting more serious day by day. And if light enters into smartphones section then yes I will even interested in buying one [if my pocket allows].

Being said that I also expect that in near future with the improvement in computational photography Technology will going to attract professional shooters to compact solutions.

Kodak Massive 90X optical Zoom Camera - In Stock Alert


Kodak AZ901 90x zoom camera is finally available at B and H store and amazon.com. The Kodak 90X Astro zoom camera was announced back on January 2016 at CES event, the camera features world largest compact zoom lens of 90x. Even bigger than the current Nikon 83X optical Zoom Camera Nikon P900.

The camera features at 20 Megapixel 1 / 2.3 inch BSI CMOS sensor, you also get a variable tilting LCD display monitor and electronic viewfinder. The camera records full HD videos 30 frames per second and the bigh ISO range of the camera goes up to 3200.

Kodak 90X optical Zoom

The 90x optical zoom lens also have optical image stabilization system, you also get built-in Wi-Fi support for wireless image transfer as well as raw recording support is also available with this camera.

Nikon Working on 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 APS-C Mirrorless Lens with Silent AF

The latest patent published this year shows up a 18-135mm Lens with F3.5-5.6 aperture. The lens is designed and developed for APS-C sensor based Mirrorless camera. One of the important feature described in the patent is Lens features silent and Fast AF motor inside, to make it more compatible with Video oriented Mirrorless camera.

Future Sony Cameras to Multi-Stream Video Files at Variable and Optimal Frame Rate

TNC Exclusive: In a recent patent we can clearly see Sony camera Multi-Straming Video files at Variable frame rate. Which is really amazing if true. Since the patent literature native language is Japanese so mistakes may happen from our side. Now let’s Jump to details.

With the introduction of new Variable Frame based Video Mode the Sony cameras will allow users to select Frames rates even after shooting is done.

Multi-stream Will be used while grabbing entire data. The camera sensor and image processor will Multi Stream 60 FPS and 240FPS frames simultaneously to Memory.

Optimal frame Speed Function will also going to be implemented by using the (AI) Artificial Intelligence programs to determine the Optimal frame  for a given scene.
