Finally we are having some hints from Canon UK ambassador Andy Rouse, he is using Canon Pro DSLR camera for testing purpose which is able shoot upto 30 FPS Burst Shots.
He also talks about new “kit” while sharing his pics on twitter
Andy posted his new camera sample shots at Instagram and said
In a post at Instagram he clearly said that ““had to take the motor drive speed down from 30 fps to 5fps as I was taking too many sharp shots“.”
He also added a pic and twitter and said
Well Canon have three pro cameras in announcement pipeline,so we are not able to know at the moment which camera exactly is he testing. Let’s have a look at the list of possible camera

According to latest news coming from rumor mills Canon 1dx mark III camera is rumored to arrive at the end 2019. We have told you a while ago that Canon 1DX Mark III camera is coming at the end of 2019 or at very beginning of 2020. And it’s not rumors, since we already have straight hints from Canon representatives that Canon will going to announce their flagship DSLR aka 1DX Mark III sometime at the end of 2019 or maybe in the very beginning of 2020..

Q. The Tokyo Olympics in 2020 is coming up – when we look at photographers shooting with Canon at Tokyo in two years time, what will we see?
A. The Tokyo Olympics is a very important opportunity for us. If we look at the professional camera market, we would like to introduce a professional model at that time. Having said that, we take reliability very seriously. So when we talk about [creating] a model for the Olympics, we’re not just talking about performance. We’re also want to make sure that we can achieve the same level of reliability that we’ve always delivered [in our professional DSLRs].
so it’s very clear indication that can and will going to announce Canon 1dx Mark III before 2020 Olympics.
We do also expect that Canon will going to use their quad pixel autofocus in technology in the new camera as well as we also seen some of the hybrid display patents in the past that may be utilized for this upcoming camera. Let’s talk about Canon upcoming DSLRs of 2019. We have selected some of the DSLRs name, we do believe they are coming for sure in the year of 2019 based of the set of information we have. We have already shared a list of upcoming Canon Mirrorless camera of 2019 with you, now its time for upcoming DSLRs from Canon in 2019… So lets jump on the list without losing any time. Starting from the most confirmed one, Canon 7D Mark III
1. Canon 7D Mark III Announcement Q1 of 2019
Clearing up the Stock lines for 7D Mark III: Ok let’s talk about Canon 7D Mark III camera. Canon 7D Mark III camera rumored to arrive in the beginning of 2019. Canon 7D Mark II 2 camera is already discontinued by Canon back in October 2018 and If you are reader of our website we have already shared 7D Mk II discontinuation news with you back on October.
Canon 7D Mark III before EOS M5 Mark II: Now Canon do not have any APS-C flagship DSLR camera in their lineup, and that’s really embarrassing thing for company like Canon. We do know that canon want to promote their mirrorless camera sales by cannibalizing DSLR but that doesn’t mean by killing DSLR…So for sure before announcement of any APS-C flagship mirrorless camera (yes we are talking about EOS M5 Mark II) we will going to have the 7D Mark III announcement from Canon.
Canon 7D Mark III Specification: Now let’s talk about the rumored specification of the upcoming Canon 7D Mark III camera. We are having multiple reports about the resolution of upcoming flagship APS-C camera. Based on initial set of reports the upcoming camera will have a 24mp sensor while others suggest it will have a high resolution sensor ranging from 26 to 30 MP. So there is a big possibility that several prototypes of flagship APS-C camera exist in the wild for testing purpose with different sets of resolution. But let’s talk about the confirm set of specification we have related to the 7D Mark III camera. The camera features a completely brand new sensor with more advanced dual pixel CMOS technology, that we have seen ever till now. The other set of specification includes introduction of 4K video at 60 frames per/sec with Canon C log. The Canon 4K video do have dual pixel CMOS autofocus support. New Digic 8 image processor is also rumored to arrive inside the Canon 7D Mark III camera, new generation of RAW as well as C-Raw files has been introduced inside the camera. We are waiting for more details set of a specification of the upcoming camera but it will going to compete against the Fuji X-T3 for sure.
The official announcement of the camera is expected to be in the first quarter of 2019. And shipment of the camera will start from march or April of 2019 if everything goes on schedule.
2. Canon 90D Delayed ?
Canon 90d camera is rumored to arrive at the end of 2019 or maybe at the very beginning of 2020. We have very less information related to the Canon 90D camera and that’s why we are hesitating to say anything more over this camera. In general as per the latest information we have the Canon 90D camera is expected to arrive after 6 to 7 months from Canon 7D Mark III announcement date. So we will have to wait for the Canon 90d camera if we believe in the latest set of information we have.
3. Canon 850D / T8i
Canon D850 / T8i is said to have at 24 megapixel dual pixel CMOS autofocus sensor with 4K video recording capability. But at the same time we are also getting some hints that Canon T8i have some Limited 4K video capability inside it, possibly we may see the same limitation as we have seen inside Canon EOS M50 camera. The 4K video recording will remain limited to contrast based AF system, It clearly indciates dual pixel CMOS autofocus system will reserved for Still and Full HD Video recording mode. Other set of specification suggest the camera will receive a brand new image processor from Canon, and with the help of new image processor and sensor we will sure see some improvement in the image quality, dynamic range and low light performance of the Rebel series camera…
The announcement time frame of the camera Falls somewhere between the first or second quarter of 2019.
4. Canon 1DX Mark III DSLR
We are confirmed Canon 1DX Mark III camera is Coming in at the end of 2019 or Very Beginning of 2020.. The camera is said to feature a completely brand new sensor with quad pixel Auto-Focusing sensor (rumors suggest Canon working on quad pixel sensor prototypes for their flagship camera). Hybrid Viewfinder for the first time in Canon DSLR, introduction of dual digic 8 image processor and massively improved AF system. The Canon 1DX Mark III does 6K and HDR Video (whatever it means) and for the first time it will carry Completely silent Electronic shutter inside.

TNC Exclusive: According to latest information we have Canon is working on Quad pixel AF, the tech may be 2 years from now but it is happening inside Canon. Consider this strictly a rumor right now and not a news.
1. Canon DUAL Pixel CMOS AF
Canon 70D (Amazon) was the first Canon DSLR to have DPAF tech and after that Canon DUAL Pixel CMOS AF created a revolution in camera industry, Canon DSLR has become one of the first choice of young age photographers and online content creators., for it’s fast and accurate focus works very well either you are cresting a still or Video.
2. Canon Quad Pixel CMOS AF
If Canon plan’s to introduce Quad pixel CMOS AF it they will sure select pro-DSLR body either Canon 1DX Mark III or Canon 5D Mark V to dominate other flagships.OR it is possible that they may pick upcoming FF Mirrorless cameras to introduce QPAF system. According to the information we have the QPAF is more fast as well as accurate than DPAF. The capability to create better Post Focus images will be increased.

Yes, In my opinion Canon is clearly talking about introduction time of Canon flagship DSLR camera Canon 1dx Mark III. When interviewer from DPreview asked “Olympics in 2020 is coming up – what will we see” . Then Canon clearly hinted us that we will going to announce a Pro Model at that time.
Yep – they are taking about 1DX Mark III.

Keep in mind that every Canon DSLRs are announced under a series (either entry level, mid or high-end), And if Canon is talking about a Pro DSLR that clearly means they are talking about the 1DX Series for sure.
2. Canon 1DX Mark III in Q1 of 2020
Now let’s talk about the timeframe when 1dx Mark 3 camera will going to be announced ? The 2020 Olympics will going to start from, Friday 24 July 2020 and will going to end on 9 August 2020.

In general Canon keep 4 to 5 years of Gap to announce a Pro Flagship body, but due to intense market completion we may see Pro DSLR before scheduled announcement date.

4. Announcement Time vs Shipping Time
Canon 1DX Mark II was announced in Feb 2016 and the shipping of the camera was started from April 2016.
Now, you have to understand that there is a difference between the announcement of a product and the shipping of a product. If any manufacturer announces a camera today then in general it shipping will going to start from after 2 or 3 months of time.
5. End of 2019 or Beginning of 2020
So, clearly means Canon 1dx Mark III is somehow scheduled to arrive at the end of 2019 or maybe in the beginning / Q1 of 2020. So photographers can get hands-on camera before 2020 Olympics.

Canon Working on 3 axis Sensor Based Image Stabilization. As you can see the 402 is the moving part of the sensor. So, we expect that Canon upcoming Mirrorless and DSLRs will going to have built-in image stabilization.

Fingerprint sensor or not a new technology there are lot of Smartphones that do carry a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. This fingerprint sensors are actually a authentication tool in most of the smartphones and they are used to unlock the device.
Now, Canon is also working on fingerprint sensor for their dslrs and lenses as you can see in the patent drawing below.
In the drawing it is clearly visible that a DSLR also having a fingerprint sensor in the body as well as the lens attached to the DSLR also built in fingerprint sensor.
with the introduction of fingerprint sensor in the day lenses Canon secure the camera as well as lenses, it’s also a very positive step and if the introduce search feature inside DSLR.
So we may see these technology in upcoming Canon 5D Mark V, Canon 1DX Mark III Camera ? Who knows 🙂
