Canon 1DX Mark III Coming in Q1 of 2020

Yes, In my opinion Canon is clearly talking about introduction time of Canon flagship DSLR camera Canon 1dx Mark III. When interviewer from DPreview asked “Olympics in 2020 is coming up – what will we see” . Then Canon clearly hinted us that we will going to announce a Pro Model at that time.

Yep – they are taking about 1DX Mark III.

1. Canon 1dx Mark III Announcement Time hint

Q. The Tokyo Olympics in 2020 is coming up – when we look at photographers shooting with Canon at Tokyo in two years time, what will we see?

A. The Tokyo Olympics is a very important opportunity for us. If we look at the professional camera market, we would like to introduce a professional model at that time. Having said that, we take reliability very seriously. So when we talk about [creating] a model for the Olympics, we’re not just talking about performance. We’re also want to make sure that we can achieve the same level of reliability that we’ve always delivered [in our professional DSLRs].

Now, we have clear hint that canon will going to announce the 1dx mark III camera before 2020 Olympics. Or may be they are talking about introduction of a completely new Pro body DSLR body ? .. Keep in mind that every Canon DSLRs are announced under a series (either entry level, mid or high-end), And if Canon is talking about a Pro DSLR that clearly means they are talking about the 1DX Series for sure.

2. Canon 1DX Mark III in Q1 of 2020

Now let’s talk about the timeframe when 1dx Mark 3 camera will going to be announced ? The 2020 Olympics will going to start from, Friday 24 July 2020 and will going to end on 9 August 2020.

During an interview with dpreview team Canon accepted that Canon EOS M50 (Amazon | B&H ) mirrorless camera Limited 4K mode ( you get no CMOS autofocus support while creating a 4K video with that camera). is not technical issue, the features are bit Limited because the EOS M50 is entry level mirrorless camera.

With the EOS 5D Mark IV, we do offer 4K video and Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus, so technically it is feasible. But given the position of the M50 in the lineup, we can’t include all of the features available in a product like the 5D IV. We’ve optimized the M50 as best we can [for its market position], and within those parameters, the combination of 4K video and Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus was not possible.

Ok, but my question is once you added DPAF sensor inside the camera then why you are limiting its performance ? Imagine if Canon EOS 50 have 4K with DPAF support it will sure kill the sales of Panasonic GX85 as well as other entry-level and Mid-range mirroless camera.

Canon 7D Mark III Coming Before Sep 2018 ?

Samsung Wants to Become No.1

We all know that Sony is no.1 Senor maker of the world. But, Now Samsung is looking more aggressive and wants to become No.1 Sensor maker. According to latest news coming from entnews Samsung Electronics is planning to increase its production capacity of image sensors and it also set a goal to become the top business in image sensor market by beating out SONY.

The Aim of Samsung is to dethrone Sony and become No.1 Sensor maker. Samsung is increasing production capacity to make more low-cost Dual ISO units for affordable smartphones. Xiaomi and Meizu are one of its biggest customers.

From past ten years the Smartphone sales are booming and specifically in Asian region. The worldwide camera sales declined upto 66% which is really heart-breaking news for dedicated system camera makers. src – CEA

Keep in mind that Samsung isn’t making any APS-C or FF Sensors dedicated for camera right now. But, yes we do have some strong rumors related to the development of Samsung NX2 camera in near future.
