Sony confirms again [see previous post of confirmations] that they are actively working on enthusiast APS-C camera. This is not the first time we are getting confirmation from the makers itself, few days back we have published a Sony interview in which Sony rep. said.. but as development team we would like to do our best to “be able to” exceed customers’ requests.

Of course we are trying to expand the APS-C series of cameras. That maybe implies not only one product. We have the opportunity to develop a type of enthusiast APS-C model, and the enthusiasts, especially the US ones are waiting for this type of model. We are trying to increase our APS-C customers
And we implied we are working on the sports area, that implied not only a 400mm f/2.8 lens is coming. So we are implying many things, but not directly saying “next model is this one, the next model is this one”. But we’re focusing on sports and we’re focusing on the APS-C area.
1. It’s already too late Sony, Wake up
It’s already too late since, as you can see the first Sony A6000 series camera was introduced back on Feb 2014 and just after a year of gap we have the successor of Sony A6000 camera, the Sony A6300.
The Sony A6300 was introduced on Feb 2016, [after 1+ year of gap] but due to the sensor overheating issues in that particular model. Sony quickly announced the A6300 camera update in the same year (October 2016) the Sony A6500 camera.
2. Sony You have the Tech
The Fuji X-T3 and X-T30 sensor us made by Sony, And as we all know that X-T3 sensor performance is beating up Sony A6500 flagship camera. You can notice color noise in Sony A6500 camera sample image at ISO 25600.

3. Sony 26 MP APS-C Sensor in Sony Next Flasghip Camera – Sony A6700?
Yes, it’s the most advance APS-C sensor Sony have right now in its arsenal. And as you can see Sony developer team said they want to exceed customer expectations this time.
We have received leaked Sony A6700 leaked specification in past and they look feasible too. I do expect, Sony next flagship camera coming with brand new sensor and image processor to exceed still shooters exceptions with and addition of 4K 60p 4:2:2 10 bit Video mode, S-log, log2, log3, HLG profiles.
With prolonged use of LIVE view mode or while recording Video in DSLRs, due to sensor heat we may see some negative effect in the image quality / video quality of the camera. To solve this issue, Nikon is actively working on new methods to reduce the effect.

Sony new range of Cinema Camera with optical effects [Confirmed]
Well this is totally a wild rumor but we are now confirmed about this news. Sony working on dedicated cinema camera with in Camera optical effects [for example, lens flares, bokeh and more… ] which will be applied before RAW processing, the camera will also have have a dedicated in camera effects sensor programmed to capture optical effects. But, the tech will be first introduced to Cinema cameras, before coming to FF or APS-C Mirrorless cameras.
According to latest rumors we are getting we may see a full frame version of Sony A6400 camera / long rumored Sony A5 [Name no confirmed] Affordable Fullframe camera.

We have seen rumors in past that Sony is working on affordable Sony A5 camera. But, now we are getting some sort of confirmation about the camera. Soon, a affordable fullframe camera at a price point of Sony A7 II while having a fully tillable display is rumored to arrive soon. One of its prototype records 4K 30p

That will be a great step from Sony to satisfy the demands of youtuber community. Just like they have done with the Sony A6400. Anonymous sources suggest One APS-C and Two Fullframe body is rumored to arrive this year.
The Fullframe Afordable camera information is coming from a new sources to take it with grain of salt
Canon executives said in an interview that Camera industry will shrink further more by 50% in upcoming years. But, at the same time Fujifilm totally disagrees with Canon’s prediction, they believe that Market growth will depend on innovation of camera makers.

TI: Yeah, yeah, yeah. If we look at the Asian market, there’s a huge population over there. Some countries may decline, but some countries soon will change to growth. I think overall, the global camera market, you know.
Don’t blame me, that’s what a Cinematography channel reveled today. They have posted a photo saying it’s shot by a 8K 25P camera. Now, again the same channel in their weibo account mentioned, ” its a Mirrorless camera “.
Now what the heck we can understand from these lines ?, If someone talks about a super cool Sony Mirrorless camera with 8K recording capability then we can only hope its a Sony A7S III camera, yes or no ? Or may be they are testing out Sony A9S camera.. who knows.
BTW, take a look what a reader of rumor mill shared today
A very well-known and highly respected cinematography channel in China posted this photo saying it’s shot by a 8K 25P camera. And then they said on Weibo that it’s a Sony mirrorless camera. Then they deleted everything before the internet stirs. I couldn’t get a screenshot from their Weibo account saying it’s a Sony mirrorless. I’m not quite sure what’s happening here.

According to latest rumors, Sony will announce dedicated vlogging compacts camera very soon. The rumors are coming from anonymous sources do take it with grain of salt.
