Canon R6 Mark III Announcement

Canon R6 III official image

In a move that’s sure to thrill hybrid shooters, wildlife enthusiasts, and sports photographers alike, Canon has officially unveiled the EOS R6 Mark III—the latest evolution in its wildly popular R6 series. Building on the legacy of its predecessors, this full-frame mirrorless powerhouse cranks up the performance with groundbreaking autofocus, enhanced image stabilization, and blistering speed, all packed into a body that’s as rugged as it is refined. If you’re in the market for a camera that doesn’t just keep up with your creative chaos but anticipates it, the R6 Mark III is here to deliver. Let’s dive into what makes this beast a game-changer.

A Sensor and Processor Duo That’s Pure Magic

At the heart of the R6 Mark III beats a 34.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, delivering the sharp, dynamic images Canon fans crave. Paired with the DIGIC X processor, it handles everything from low-light wizardry to high-speed bursts with effortless grace.  The sensor’s built-in low-pass filter (4th-generation) and integrated EOS cleaning system keep dust at bay, while the RGB primary color filter ensures vibrant, true-to-life hues right from the source. But the real showstopper? Canon’s innovative 8.5-stop IBIS, offering rock-solid stabilization for handheld mastery. Say goodbye to shaky shots—whether you’re tracking a bird in flight or nailing that cinematic pan, this camera steadies the storm.

Autofocus That Reads Your Mind

If autofocus is your love language, the R6 Mark III speaks it fluently. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II boasts multi-subject detection for people, animals, and vehicles, with 100-face storage for lightning-fast recognition. It covers a staggering 100% x 100% of the frame, with a working range from EV -6.5 to 21 (tested with the RF 50mm F1.2 L USM at 23°C and ISO 100). That’s moonlit portraits and midday mayhem, all in focus.

Modes include One Shot and Servo AF, with manual selection options galore: Spot AF, 1-point, Expand areas, Zone, and even Whole Area AF. Tracking is next-level, locking onto faces, eyes, heads, bodies, and even vehicles like cars, motorbikes, trains, and aircraft—perfect for motorsports or aviation pros. Animal detection covers dogs, cats, birds, and horses, with up to 10 registrable subjects for your favorites.

Manual focus gets a boost too: Peaking sensitivity (High/Medium/Low), focus guides, and bracketing for 2–999 images with customizable increments. And don’t forget AF Assist Beam via LED or external flash for those dim venues.

Exposure and Metering: Precision in Every Pixel

Metering is real-time and evaluative, using the sensor for spot-on results across four modes: Evaluative (linked to all AF points), Partial (6% of viewfinder), Spot (2%), and Center-weighted average. The brightness range spans EV -3 to 20 (or up to 21 with EVF), with AE Lock triggered by AF-ON, Fx button, or shutter half-press.

Exposure compensation hits ±3 stops in 1/3- or 1/2-stop steps, and AEB bracketing does the same for three shots. ISO sensitivity? AUTO from 100-64,000 native—ideal for night owls. High ISO noise reduction offers four levels (including multi-shot), and Anti-Flicker Shooting detects 100% or 120Hz flicker from lights, ensuring clean stills and video.

White balance is flexible: AWB (Ambience or White priority), presets like Daylight, Shade, Cloudy, Tungsten, and Flash, plus custom Kelvin (2,500–10,000K) and bracketing. It’s all customizable in 50K increments for that perfect skin tone.

Shutter Speed Demons: Capture the Unmissable

The electronically controlled focal-plane shutter (with electronic 1st-curtain option) syncs at 1/250 sec X-sync and releases electromagnetically. Speeds? Mechanical: 30–1/8,000 sec; Electronic 1st-curtain: same; full electronic: up to 30 sec. Bulb mode is there for long exposures, and TWB (Time Value Movie) support keeps video smooth.

Burst shooters, rejoice: Up to 40 fps electronic shutter with pre-capture enabled and blackout-free viewfinder action. It’s a wildlife and action photographer’s dream.

Viewfinder and Display: See It All, Feel It All

Peering through the 5.76-million-dot EVF (0.76x magnification) feels like stepping into your shot—120fps performance, 20mm eyepoint, and dioptre correction from -4 to +2 m⁻¹. Brightness adjusts manually in four steps or auto, with anti-smudge coating on the 3.0-inch, 1.62-million-dot touchscreen LCD (100% coverage, seven brightness levels).

DJI Osmo Action 6 Teaser Revealed: November 18 Launch, and Specifications

DJI Avata 360 Confirmed: Trusted Leaker Igor Bogdanov Drops the Bombshell – Here’s What It Means for FPV Enthusiasts

DJI Action 6 Pricing Revealed: €379 - $379 Standard Combo

Action 6 Price

If you are a fan of action cameras, then for sure it’s the best time for you in 2025, since DJI Action 6 is coming very near to us and the official announcement is on November 18, 2025. It looks like DJI is really very much excited right now and announcing one after another new range of products this year, starting from the DJI Mini 5 Pro, Osmo 360, Mobile 8 Gimbal, DJI Neo 2, and finally, we have the Action 6 camera. Who knows, a lot of announcements are still on their way — DJI Mini 5 Pro, Osmo 8, DJI Neo 2, and finally, we have the Action 6 camera. Who knows, Avata 360, Mic 3 Pro announcements are still on their way.

Exclusive details on the DJI Osmo Action 6 price [confirmed] and global release date. Straight from trusted industry sources, we’ve got the Euro, Pound, and estimated USD pricing locked in. If you’ve been eyeing an upgrade from your Action 5 Pro, this could be the sign to start saving.

DJI Osmo Action 6: What We Know So Far

So the DJI Action 6 camera is basically based on the foundation of the Action 5 Pro. Most probably, at this time, we won’t have the Pro variant of Action 6, since it already has all the bells and whistles that a Pro model would have, starting from a newly designed and developed 1/1.1-inch sensor, which is square in nature optimized for excellent low-light capture, added with a variable-aperture lens on the top. So overall, the efficiency of the system improves up to 40% in capturing light compared to the Action 5 Pro.

Pricing Breakdown: Standard vs. Adventure Combo

The DJI Action 6 camera is coming in different options. The first one is the Standard Bundle, which includes the camera itself, and the other one is optimized for adventure use. Check out the official pricing (Euro/GBP confirmed; USD estimated and pending final adjustments due to tariffs):

Bundle Europe (€) UK (£) US ($) (Estimated)
Standard Combo 379 329 379
Adventure Combo 479 419 479

Standard Combo: The standard combo is composed of the camera itself, an additional battery unit for extended use, a quick-release adapter mount, and a protective frame — perfect for everyday shoots. (Explore more in our DJI Action camera bundles guide.)

Adventure Combo: Will add two battery units and a chest strap for fitting the tiny camera. If you’re into adventure and most of the time you do outdoor stuff, better to have the Action 4 Adventure Kit.

For now, the pricing of Europe and the UK is confirmed; US-based pricing is an estimated figure.

Global Release Date: Mark Your Calendar for November 18

The DJI Action 6 release date was confirmed yesterday by the DJI official teaser itself, which is about to arrive on November 18, 2025, and since it’s a global teaser, we are expecting a global rollout of the camera, not a China-first announcement. That is something we have seen in the past from DJI, starting from the DJI Neo 2 drone as well as the Osmo 8 Gimbal — both of them were China first. Once the global announcement rolls out, the pre-order links will get activated for B&H Store and Amazon.com.

DJI Osmo Action 6 Teaser Revealed: November 18 Launch, and Specification

ACTION 6 IMAGE

The Image above you see is an actual DJI Action 6 Camera

The DJI Osmo Action 6 camera is officially teased by DJI itself. So now we have an official teaser, and the best part is that a few seconds of the video clip reveal the product is now locked in for November 18, 2025, at 12 PM GMT, so I am writing the article on November 4. It’s now just two weeks away, and we will have our Action 6 camera.

The DJI Action 6 camera is buzzing louder even than a drone. Why so? Because the rumours of Action 6 have been floating for more than a few months. The good thing is that in the teaser, it has been clearly written — a new square form factor with a tagline “Square up, nail the move”, which promises sharper angles and smooth footage, obviously with unmissable action.

Before we begin, we have to make it clear that this isn’t just hype; it’s DJI doubling down on their dominance in the action cam space, especially after the Action 5 Pro’s solid but iterative release earlier this year. As we reported in our exclusive leak just two days ago [DJI Osmo Action 6: Insider Leak Points to November 19 Launch], insider whispers pointed to a November 19 debut – turns out we were off by a day, but the specs we uncovered? Spot on. Today, we’re diving deep into the teaser, cross-referencing the latest rumors, so let’s dive in.

DJI teaser glimps

DJI Action 6 teaser glimps

Breaking Down the Teaser: What DJI’s Not Saying (But Showing)

DJI’s official social media accounts actually share the teaser video handles globally — not just in China — and on their global English website. That clearly means it’s not a China-first announcement. It will be a global announcement on November 18, 2025. Now, at the very same time, if you look at the footage itself, what it explains is a kind of low-light footage of urban parkour and fluid motion – think seamless transitions from rooftop leaps to street-level sprints. The standout? A recurring square motif: geometric frames cropping the action, suggesting a redesigned body that’s more modular and grip-friendly than the rectangular Action 5 Pro.

Obviously, there are no specific specifications displayed in the teaser, and they should not also, but before we jump to the core specifications of the action camera, the users are really very excited for this, and if you look at the user reaction, then you will be delighted also.

X reactions are electric. Users like @mrhombre_ declared, “This is the day I’ve been waiting for since last year when I said I’ll skip the DJI Action 5 Pro,” echoing a sentiment from dozens of replies hyping the skip for this model. Others, like @Quadro_News, speculated on the square design’s ergonomics: “Не плохо)” (Not bad!), while @DrunkMFR begged, “Gimme 18th now!” The post has racked up over 3,600 views in hours, with reposts from influencers amplifying the pre-launch page: DJI Pre-launch.

But the biggest question is what does the teaser line actually mean, “Square up, nail the move” — so is this actually a transformation in the design? … nop DJI is actually talking about the sensor.

We have seen the official leaked images of the DJI Action 6 camera, so there is no question about the change of design.  The line  – Square up nail the move – has been used to hint at the  1/1.1-inch square CMOS Sensor, yes, we are reporting the camera is coming with 1/1.1 inch sensor... but we didn’t specifically point out the structure of the sensor, which is actually square in shape

World’s First: DJI Action 6’s Variable Aperture Lens Revolutionizes Action Cams

Yes, the DJI Action 6 camera is the world’s first action camera to feature variable aperture, not only at the software level. We also have a mechanical iris inside the camera that actually moves and is controlled by the camera itself and the user if he wishes to use maximum aperture as per the requirement of the scene. The variable aperture range of the camera is from f/2.0 to f/4.0, so you can control the depth technically without the requirement of adding extra ND filters on the camera. But yes, in some adverse situations, you have to use it.

action 6

Quick Breakdown from the Teaser and Leaks

Teaser Confirmation: On November 4, 2025, DJI posted the official teaser of the camera that shows the mechanical movement of the iris above the sensor and inside the lens, which is actually being used inside the camera for variable aperture. The tagline “Square Up, Nail the Move” ties into the square body hints, but the iris movement is the star, signaling pro-level control.

Your Image Match: The actual product images that we shared a while ago also clearly display the aperture range printed above the lens, so we have no doubt related to the presence of a variable lens inside the camera. At the very same time, the sensor size is also mentioned — it’s a 1/1.1-inch sensor for ~40% better light capture than the Action 5 Pro’s fixed f/2.8 setup.

Why “World’s First” for Action Cams? Yes, before the arrival of the DJI Action 6 camera, no action cam as of right now made by GoPro or Insta360 supports variable aperture. Maybe the upcoming Insta360 Ace Pro 3 will have a larger sensor, but there is no mention about the presence of variable aperture inside the Ace Pro 3 camera so far. Now the DJI Action 6 is the only camera we have with a variable aperture.

Rumored Specs: The Action 6’s Power-Packed Arsenal

Once again, take a look at the specifications of the DJI Action 6 camera, starting from its sensor to lens and video resolution modes — all are explained here.

Sensor and Imaging: Bigger, Bolder, Variable

  • 1/1.1-inch Square CMOS Sensor: kind of a step-up upgrade from the DJI Action 5 Pro camera, and the best part is, you will notice you not only have a larger sensor compared to the Action 5 Pro camera, you also have a better lens, so it’s really interesting.
  • Variable Aperture Lens (f/2.0–f/4.0): World’s first for action cams. The camera will automatically adjust its aperture level based on the requirements of the situation, and overall, with the help of aperture, the intake of light increases up to 40% compared to the Action 5 Pro, so specifically for low-light videos, the new Action 6 is highly suitable.

Resolution and Frame Rates

  • 8K/30fps with HDR and ProRes RAW
  • 5.3K/60fps
  • 4K/120fps and 1080p/240fps

Stabilization and Smarts: RockSteady on Steroids

Gear Up for November 18 – Your Move?

Gear for the November 18 announcement — we all know that DJI is a leader in action cameras and covers a great market space, and shares at the very same time. The newest addition of the Action 6 camera is coming with a lot of new features and upgrades, like a larger sensor and variable aperture lens that will appeal to a wide audience out there, and obviously, a lot of users of other action-camera makers may migrate to DJI if they fail to provide a proper upgrade to their existing camera. Specifically, we are looking up to the Insta360 Ace Pro 3 announcement — is it really coming with a large 1-inch sensor as rumoured before, with upgraded Leica lenses?

What feature has you hyped? The 8K beast mode or that endless battery? Drop your thoughts in the comments, smash that share button, and set a reminder for the reveal. Stay tuned to The New Camera for live coverage – we’ve got the insider edge.

DJI Avata 360 Confirmed: Trusted Leaker Igor Bogdanov Drops the Bombshell – Here’s What It Means for FPV Enthusiasts

DJI Avata 360 Confirmed: Trusted Leaker Igor Bogdanov Drops the Bombshell – Here's What It Means for FPV Enthusiasts

Just after the announcement of the Insta360 Antigravity A1 drone. The buzz has started in the market, and we will soon have a DJI Avata 360 drone. Since each of them is interfering in their consumer space, it has become a bit mandatory for DJI to also interfere in the Insta360 consumer space by announcing a 360 drone. The best part is that DJI has recently announced a 360 camera, which has already covered almost 40% of the 360 camera market share just after its announcement, so that’s quite a bit of surprise for all of us that with just one (single Osmo 360 camera) of their products, they have covered 40% of the entire 360 camera market. And now it’s time for 360 Drone, the Avata 360

Thanks to the tipster for sending us the best and high-res image of the upcoming Avata 360

Recently, one of the most trusted and renowned tech sleuths and leakers, Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News) has officially confirmed the existence of the DJI Avata 360 – a game-changing addition to DJI’s FPV lineup.

We didn’t have any doubt related to the existence of the DJI 360 drone, since we have seen images of the working prototypes of the drones before and also published them on our website. From this summer of June 2025, we have started getting images and details related to the DJI Avata 360 drone. The initial prototypes were seen with the Avata series body and having 360° capturing capability. Obviously, it’s a signal that DJI is preparing for a big fight with 360 Antigravity series drones.

DJI 360 drone image

A Quick Recap: From Leaks to Confirmation

The rumour started from August 2025, where we have published the DJI mini 360 information on our website just after that things heated dramatically and guess what we got the first leaked images of the DJI 360 drone prototypes being tested in the wild, the images still you can see which does have cinewhoop-style body and compact frame, propeller guards wit ha 360 camera in the front of the drone which look very similar to recently announced OSMO 360 camera drone. Just after few days later, on September 10, fresh leaks pointed to it reports we have the industry insiders, it’s an evolution of the Avata line, with the teaser name “DJI Avata 3 or DJI 360?”  So, the early prototype that we have seen was highly impressive of the new 360 drones, Let’s sum up the specs that we are expecting

  • 360° Dual-Lens Camera System: The 360 Drone will obviously have a dual-camera setup. The initial glimpse of the drone that we have seen looks like an Avata-style drone integrated with an OMSO 360 camera on top of it.
  • Enhanced FPV Experience: The initial prototype we have seen is actually built on the Avata 2 body type. The image is clear: the operator is using goggles for virtual flight and a controller.
  • Compact Cinewhoop Design: Overall design tells very clearly it has strong prop guards for indoor/outdoor versatility, similar to Antigravity A1. We are expecting it to weigh under 250g to skirt regulations in most countries worldwide,
  • AI-Powered Editing: Built-in Flighthub 2.0 ties for real-time obstacle avoidance and auto-edits that stitch 360° clips into cinematic narratives.

So, no official teaser or information is coming straight from DJI, but obviously, the set of information that we have published in the past includes the prototype images that we have received at the very same time. The epic takeover of the 360 camera market has already started from the Osmo 360 camera, and finally it’s time for DJI to spin off the entire market with the introduction of of 360 drone.

DJI 360 drone image

Why Igor Bogdanov’s Leak Matters

Bogdanov isn’t just any tipster; he has a track record of 98-99% accuracy in the past, in the past, he has done spot-on predictions for the Avata 2’s 4K/100fps upgrades and the Mic 3’s July launch. When he says “confirmed,” that means yes, it’s now the product is on the horizon.

That said, US users might face hurdles with DJI’s ongoing regulatory tango, as one reply noted: “Not for us in the US..” But globally, this is a win for creators chasing that next-level FPV immersion.

What’s Next for the DJI Avata 360?

We are expecting the announcement of the DJI 360 in the first half of 2026. Insta 360 antigravity A1 was announced back on August 14,20, 25. But it will officially arrive in January of 2026 for users. Price is also a very important factor, keeping the price figure of the DJI 360 Drone very competitive, according to the Insta360 Antigravity A1 Price.

DJI 360 Drone expected price

Bundle Tier Inclusions Estimated Price Range (USD)
Standard Bundle Drone + Grip controller $1,099–$1,299

DJI Osmo Action 6: Insider Leak Points to November 19 Launch

We already have a lot of details related to the DJI action six camera, which includes the core specification of the camera as well as the leaked images, so this time we got a date by content creator Photorabz, according to his insiders of the source, the DJI Action 6 camera is set for November release, and it will arrive on November 19, 2025. As per the initial set of information, we have Action 6 is coming with a massive upgrade in its score specification when compared to the Action 5 Pro camera. At the very same time, we have already published in the past the Action 6  synchronization to the next level with the Gramin watches, the Apple Watch

DJI Osmo Action 6: November 19 Reveal and Availability – The Wait Is Almost Over

Photorabz, pulling from a direct email by a DJI brand insider, locks in the Action 6’s official unveiling for Wednesday, November 19, 2025 – so let’s hope this time the information is true, and since it’s coming from trusted sources of the content creator, which actually used to test a lot of DJI as well as 360 product, so if they information is coming from Hemant, then I do believe that it should be true.

It all started on October 24, and it looks like DJI has skipped the date or delayed the date of the action. Maybe due to the final Tweak in the new Action, 6-camera.

DJI does Post teasers as well as videos on their social media handles before they make an official announcement, so we will be looking up for that, and as soon as we get any updates, we will be publishing it here.

Launch Timeline and Where to Buy

  • Announcement Event: Yes, we are expecting a global announcement on November 19, but if you look at past few announcements from DJI, they are preferring a policy of China first, and after a gap of a week or a month, they do the global announcement.
  • Pre-Orders and Shipping: availability of the DJI action six camera in inside the United States of America, is it still in question, although the good thing is, the camera announcement is happening on November 19, so we can expect the pre-order of the camera to be start very soon, and if pre-orders options are not available, then for sure, the camera will arrive in the amazon.com store Sales sometime in late November or early December 2025.

The Action 6’s hype isn’t hype for nothing: DJI commands over 70% of the action cam market globally and 405+ 360-degree camera market across the globe
