DJI Mini 5 Pro Ban Coming in March 2027

drone ban image

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission is moving to stop further sales of the DJI Mini 5 Pro in the United States. The ban is expected to take effect in mid-to-late March 2027.

Why is the ban coming in March 2027, and why should you worry if you’re really interested in a DJI Mini 5 Pro, whether you already own one or are planning to buy one?

Why the Mini 5 Pro Is Affected

If you want to own a Mini 5 Pro, you should buy it before March 2027. We’re going to explain exactly why. And if your business depends on this particular drone. Especially if you’re a wedding cinematographer or create a lot of aerial content, then you should seriously consider keeping one, two, or even three extra units before the commercial sales ban takes effect.

It’s time to explain why the ban is expected in March 2027. As per the latest July update, the FCC has proposed updating the definition of “military-grade” drones. Under this proposal, any foreign-made drone that carries LiDAR sensors is now classified as military-grade and will no longer be allowed for further sale or import. That same LiDAR sensor is also widely used for high-precision 3D mapping, which is one of the main reasons the FCC is targeting it.

The FCC’s own explanation for targeting LiDAR is clear. According to the public notice, these systems offer:

“enhanced capability to conduct detailed three-dimensional terrain mapping, penetrate dense foliage to reveal hidden structures, assist in autonomous navigation in GPS-denied environments, and conduct covert reconnaissance under a range of environmental conditions.”

Because of this, the agency is classifying LiDAR-equipped foreign drones as “military-grade” and seeking to cut off further sales.

Official Timeline

Stage Date
Proposal released 21 July 2026
Published in Federal Register 3 August 2026
Public comments close 2 September 2026
Expected final FCC decision First week of September 2026
180-day period starts Mid-September 2026 (after final rule is published)
Sales ban expected to take effect Mid-to-late March 2027

The proposal specifically states that, if adopted, all parties must cease importation and marketing activities 180 days after the final decision is published in the Federal Register.

We all know what happens with public comments. They generally go into the trash bin. DJI has done a lot of campaigning during the first ban, which happened back in December 2025. They did a lot. They initiated paid campaigns and opened dedicated pages for collecting public comments. Nothing worked at that time. So, it clearly indicates that they don’t care about public opinion. They have already taken the decision when they implemented the rule, and they just have to follow the procedure to make sure it happens.

What DJI Says

DJI has strongly opposed the move. In its official statement, the company called the proposal a “total reversal” from the FCC’s previous position.

DJI stated:

“Although the proposal is framed as targeting ‘military-grade’ drones, the FCC’s definition could include drones with thermal imaging or LiDAR capabilities… People could continue using DJI products they already own, but the same models in use today might no longer be available to purchase in the future.”

The company also emphasised that it does not design or manufacture military-grade equipment and has consistently opposed the weaponisation of civilian drones.

Summary

  • Current Mini 5 Pro owners can keep flying their drones. The proposal does not ban ownership or operation.
  • Buyers still looking to purchase have a limited window. Remaining stock can continue to be sold until the ban takes effect around March 2027.
  • After that date, new Mini 5 Pro units (and other LiDAR-equipped foreign models such as the Air 3S) are expected to disappear from legal U.S. retail channels.

We will update this article immediately after the FCC issues its final decision in early September.

DJI vs FCC: Big Ban Risk on Already Approved Models – August 2026 Update

Nikon Z70 Appears on Apple ProRes Page

FCC to BAN DJI Neo 2, DJI Air 3S and Mini 5 Pro and More…

Finally, the FCC is now planning to impose a retroactive ban on DJI, which means existing drones announced by DJI in previous years will be massively affected. Not one, two, or three models, but a series of models that are capable of using LiDAR sensors inside them, since according to the FCC, drones that are using LiDAR sensors for obstacle avoidance can also be used for military purposes, and that’s why they are dangerous for the United States of America.

And not only two or three models will be affected, as they mentioned in the FCC document. As I have said, a series of drones are going to be affected by DJI.

How does this sudden change happen? Earlier, the rules were strict about the weight capacity. If a drone was able to lift 55 lbs (25 kg) or more with certain capabilities, they were considered military-grade under the rules. But now, with the updated definition, even consumer-grade drones that are under the 250-gram category will be considered military-grade drones if they use any sort of LiDAR sensor, which many modern technologies use, and they are now banned.

What Notice Did the FCC Issue?

On July 21, 2026, the FCC released Public Notice DA 26-758.

In this notice, the agency proposed to stop the further importation and marketing of certain previously approved foreign-made drones that it now labels as “military-grade.” One of the main categories under this definition is any drone that uses LiDAR sensors.

Which Drone Models Have LiDAR and Are Affected?

The proposal does not care whether LiDAR is used for mapping or only for obstacle avoidance. If the drone has LiDAR sensors, it is subject to the restriction.

Currently, the models most affected are:

  • DJI Air 3S
  • DJI Mini 5 Pro
  • DJI Neo 2
  • Avata models that use LiDAR (including Avata 360)

These drones use LiDAR primarily for obstacle avoidance. According to the FCC’s own definition, that is enough to put them on the list.

Other categories such as thermal imaging, agricultural spray drones, docking stations, and drones over 55 lbs (25 kg) are also covered, but for most photographers and content creators, the Air 3S and Mini 5 Pro are the biggest concern.

Why the Next 30 Days Matter

Public comments are open until September 2, 2026.

On paper, this is the window for people to submit feedback. In reality, history shows that public comments in national security-related FCC cases rarely change the final decision. Once the FCC has already stated that it has “tentatively concluded” a restriction is needed, the direction is usually locked.

That is why the next few weeks are critical for buyers.

If you are planning to buy an Air 3S, Mini 5 Pro, or related LiDAR models, or if you want spare batteries, propellers, ND filters, and other accessories, this is the window to secure them while stock is still freely available through normal channels.

Waiting for a final decision may leave you with limited or no new supply.

Existing Owners Are Still Safe

If you already own these drones, you can continue to use and fly them. The proposal only targets new imports and sales. It does not stop people from operating drones they already have.

The Bigger Picture – Ban of Budget Drone Cinematography in USA

For years, budget-friendly DJI camera drones gave independent filmmakers, wedding videographers, real estate photographers, and content creators access to high-quality aerial footage without spending enterprise-level money.

That era now appears to be closing in the US market.

The practical advice for photographers and creators is simple: if you need these models or spare parts, the next few weeks are the time to act.

We will continue monitoring the process and update this story as soon as the FCC takes the next official step.

We have summarized the Major Key points here

  • This is still a proposal, not a final ban.
  • LiDAR is the key reason consumer camera drones such as the Air 3S, Mini 5 Pro, and Neo 2 are included.
  • Existing owners can continue flying their drones.
  • New sales face a high risk of being cut off if the rule is adopted.
  • Comment deadline: September 2, 2026. However, past patterns suggest a limited chance of a full reversal.
  • If adopted, a 180-day transition period is proposed before sales restrictions take effect.

DJI Osmo 360 II Pre-Orders Starting Today in China

Insta360 Luna Pro Retail Box Leaked

DJI Osmo 360 II Internal Photos Surface from FCC

DJI Osmo 360 II Internal Photos Surface from FCC

Finally, as the announcement time of the DJI Osmo 360 II is getting closer to us, the camera has started slowly revealing more of itself. Fresh internal and product photos directly coming from the camera’s FCC filing have now become public. Since the 180-day deadline period of the FCC already passed on June 19, 2026, and the time I am writing this post is July 27, 2026 — the period expired more than a month ago (roughly 37–38 days past).

As we all know, after the short-term confidentiality ends, internal photos, external photos, test setup photos, user manuals, etc., automatically become public on the FCC database (unless an extension was filed, which is rare and usually not granted beyond 180 days).

  • Grant date: December 21, 2025
  • Maximum short-term confidentiality: 180 days from the grant date
  • Expiry: Around June 19, 2026

 DJI Osmo 360 II

These images were first shared by one of the most trusted leaked, Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News) and come from the official FCC exhibits for FCC ID 2ANDR-OQ0022512 (Model: OQ002). The short-term confidentiality period on the filing expired in mid-June, so the photos are now publicly available.

What’s Visible in the New Photos

  1. Battery Confirmed

The most important confirmation is the battery. The internal photos clearly show a DJI lithium-ion pack labeled BCX102-2150-3.86 with a rated capacity of 2150mAh / 8.3Wh. This matches earlier FCC documents and represents a solid upgrade over the original Osmo 360’s 1950mAh battery.

  1. Design Remains Very Familiar

From the external shots, the Osmo 360 II looks extremely close to the first-generation model. The overall shape, screen size, button layout, and port placement appear nearly identical. The rear still carries the DJI logo and speaker grille, while the side shows the familiar “OSMO 360 II” engraving.

  1. Label & Certifications

One of the images shows the full regulatory label. It confirms:

  • Model: OQ002
  • FCC ID: 2ANDR-OQ0022512
  • Input: 5-9V ⎓ 3A Max
  • Multiple certifications including CE, UKCA, and BIS India (R-41204781)

The presence of the BIS mark is notable for Indian buyers, as it indicates the camera is already being prepared for official sale in India.

  1. Internal Layout

The opened unit reveals a compact main board with flexible ribbon cables, copper shielding tape, and a relatively clean internal arrangement. Nothing dramatic stands out in terms of major redesign — this appears to be a refined evolution rather than a complete overhaul.

Quick Recap of What We Know So Far

  • FCC registration was completed in December 2025
  • Battery increased from 1950mAh → 2150mAh
  • Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth support confirmed in earlier documents
  • Prototype units were already spotted in the wild in mid-July 2026

What This Means for the Launch

DJI OSMO 360 II replacement lenses have already hit the retail store warehouses, as we have confirmed in our previous post. The Camera itself is expected to be announced soon, on or before Aug 2026.

We’ll continue monitoring for more details, especially regarding sensor size, video specs, and pricing.

DJI Upcoming Products Late 2026: Air 4, Avata 3 and More

DJI has already delivered an impressive wave of its product announcements globally till July 2026, but now what next? In this article, we are going to discuss the next set of announcements from DJI. Yes, we do know that DJI is facing some limitations and bans in the United States of America. But not to worry that much since we do have XtraMuse, which republish the rebranded DJI cameras and drones under their name, and the fact is the XtraMuse products also support the DJI ecosystem, so what you get is only the name changed. The rest of the things remain the same inside the product.

Existing pre-2026 authorised models (and some with prior approvals) remain available through retailers and importers, with software update support extended through at least 2029.

Let’s have a look at the set of upcoming cameras and drones from DJI

Major Upcoming Releases: Late 2026 (US Outlook)

Now, in the second half of 2026, as per the initial set of information, DJI will focus on prosumer drone refreshes. Expect China-first launches with delayed or limited global/US reach, Since we know that DJI is facing a BAN issue in the USA and if the situation continues, the supply chain of Newly announced drones will remain halted

1. DJI Air 4 – Most Likely Major Mid-Range Drone

Expected US/Global Window: September–November 2026 (Q3/Q4), subject to change.

Status & Leaks (Cross-Verified): May 2026 leaks from Igor Bogdanov (early documents) and Chinese flight-app sightings confirm active development and testing. Prototype images showed premium design elements (thicker arms, top sensors). No official information is out as of now.

Rumoured Specs:

  • Possible sub-250g version (easier regs in many areas).
  • Dual 1-inch sensors for excellent low-light/dynamic range.
  • Enhanced omnidirectional avoidance and efficiency.
  • O4 transmission system.

US Availability & FCC: No new public FCC filing noted yet – official US sales are expected to face major restrictions. Gray-market or importer options may emerge post-global launch, but expect higher prices, delayed stock, and no full warranty. Compare to current Air 3S (still viable for many).

Pricing Estimate (USD): $800–$1,200+ depending on combo. Global equivalents will vary.

Recommendation for US Buyers: Strong wait-and-see candidate if you need mid-range versatility. Monitor for any regulatory shifts.

2. DJI Avata 3 – FPV Line Refresh

Expected Window: Q3/Q4 2026 (potentially overlapping Air 4).

As we all know, the Avata 360 is not a true successor to the DJI Avata 2. As per the set of rumours, we have the Avata 3 coming with a larger 1-inch sensor. And this time, we will have a massive update in video quality as well as in dynamic range performance of the Avata 3 compared to the Avata 2, which was using a 1/1.3-inch CMOS image sensor that captures 12 MP photos and up to 4K/60fps video.

US Note: Similar FCC challenges as other new drones. Avata 360’s prior approval doesn’t automatically extend here.

3. A Brand New Series of Semi-Pro Drones

Yes, recently our team has spotted a brand new series of DJI Drones at CMIIT ID, expected to arrive this year (2026) in two of its variants. More information about the dromes is here.

4. Accessories & Supporting Tools (Late 2026)

  • DJI Mic Mini 2 / Similar: Compact wireless audio solutions – often easier certification paths.
  • Potential Osmo 360 II or Gimbal Tweaks: If not already out, targeted for niche creative needs.
  • Power & Enterprise Expansions: Less consumer impact.

These may have slightly better US paths than full drones.

2027 Outlook: Longer-Term Expectations for US Users

Details are thinner, but DJI’s patterns suggest:

  • Mini Series (Mini 6/Pro): Early/mid-2027 weight/camera upgrades.
  • Mavic Flagship Refresh (Mavic 5?): Mid-to-late 2027 for high-end cinema.
  • Osmo Action 7: Sensor/battery/AI improvements.
  • DJI Mirrorless Camera: Highly anticipated first dedicated stills body—timing could slip into 2027.
  • Gimbal & Accessory Cycles: RS/Ronin updates likely.

Regulatory Reality Check for the US: New 2026 – 2027 products will almost certainly face the same Covered List barriers unless policy changes occur. Existing authorised fleet (pre-2026 models) remains flyable with updates. Consider US-made or non-DJI alternatives (e.g., Skydio, Autel where compliant) for long-term peace of mind.

  • Stay informed via thenewcamera.com for US-specific updates.

DJI shows no signs of slowing creative innovation globally. For US users, the landscape requires careful planning around regulations. We’ll continue tracking Air 4 and beyond – bookmark this page for updates!

DJI Mini 4K Prime Day Deals June 2026: Best Amazon Prices & Bundles (No FAA Registration)

DJI prime day deal bnanner img

Amazon Prime Day already started from June 23, 2026, and as we all know, the DJI Mini 4K has emerged as one of the most popular drones ever released, and more than 3,000 to 4,000 units of the DJI Mini 4K drone are being sold on Amazon USA alone. So, this Prime Day, we are getting an approx 30% price drop over the MSRP price of the Mini 4K drone.

And the best part is because the drone weighs just 246g, it does not require FAA registration or Remote ID for recreational flying. This makes it one of the easiest DJI drones to own and fly legally in the US in 2026.

Important Update: Prime Day deals are already live on Amazon. However, the biggest discounts on the DJI Mini 4K and its bundles are expected to appear within the next few days. We will continue updating the prices in this article as the main deals go live between June 23–26. Check the links below for the latest pricing.

Why the DJI Mini 4K Stands Out in 2026

DJI Mini 4K is said to be one of the most affordable and advanced versions of the Mini series of DJI drones. It has been designed for beginners and weighs under 250g, so it doesn’t require any sort of registration for flying. Other than that, it does deliver high-quality 4K video without spending a fortune.

And the standout key features include a built-in 3-axis gimbal that gives you excellent stable video footage on the go. Whether your drone is moving at high speed or staying stable in the middle, you’re always getting very stable footage, which is really impossible from a budget drone available in the USA. Other than that, we are also getting reliable GPS-assisted flight modes and intelligent shooting modes, all packed in a compact body, and that’s one of the biggest reasons for the higher amount of sales of the DJI Mini 4K drone in the United States of America.

DJI Mini 4K Prime Day Deals – Current Best Options

Recommendation: If you plan to fly regularly, the Fly More Combo usually offers better long-term value, especially when it goes on discount during Prime Day.

DJI Mini 4K – FAA Regulations & Legal Flying in the USA

One of the biggest advantages of the DJI Mini 4K is its weight. At 246g, it falls under the 249g limit. As per current FAA rules in 2026:

  • No registration is required for recreational use.
  • Remote ID is not mandatory.
  • You can fly it in most areas without needing an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107).

However, you must still follow standard drone rules:

  • Fly below 400 feet
  • Keep the drone in your line of sight
  • Avoid restricted airspace and airports
  • Respect privacy and no-fly zones

This regulatory simplicity makes the Mini 4K especially attractive for beginners and hobbyists in the United States.

DJI Mini 4K Full Specifications

Image and Video Quality

The DJI Mini 4K delivers usable 4K footage for social media, YouTube, real estate, and casual content creation. The 3-axis gimbal does a good job of stabilizing footage even in moderate wind.

However, because it uses a smaller 1/2.3-inch sensor, it has limitations:

  • Dynamic range is average
  • Low-light performance is average (noise increases in dim conditions)
  • Colors are decent but not as rich as the Mini 3 or Mini 4 Pro

For daylight shooting and well-lit environments, the Mini 4K performs well for its price. It is noticeably better than most cheap, no-name drones in terms of colour and stabilisation.

Real-World Flight Performance

Most of us in our team have the same DJI Mini 4K drone. Once it’s fully charged, you get approximately 20 to 24 minutes of flight time per battery, depending upon the wind conditions and the flying style. If you opt for this situation, you are getting a drone that handles wind at normal speeds very well and delivers excellent, stable video footage on the go.

But yes, we have to add one thing here: the drone does not have a proper obstacle avoidance mode that we have in the high-end DJI drones. So you have to be more careful while flying near trees, power lines, or in very tight spaces. Yes, but the GPS-assisted Return to Home works reliably very well.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • No FAA registration or Remote ID required in the US
  • True 4K video with 3-axis gimbal stabilization
  • Compact, foldable, and easy to carry
  • Good wind resistance for its class
  • Beginner-friendly with intelligent flight modes
  • Affordable entry into the DJI ecosystem

Cons:

  • No obstacle avoidance sensors
  • Average low-light and dynamic range performance
  • Real-world flight time is lower than lab rating
  • Older O2 transmission system

Who Should Buy the DJI Mini 4K?

The DJI Mini 4K is best suited for:

  • Beginners who want their first proper DJI drone
  • Content creators and vloggers on a budget
  • Real estate agents looking for simple aerial shots
  • Travel enthusiasts who want a lightweight drone for trips
  • Users who want to avoid FAA registration hassle

If you regularly fly in complex environments or need better low-light performance, consider saving for the DJI Mini 3 or waiting for better deals on the Mini 4 Pro during Prime Day.

Final Verdict – Should You Buy the DJI Mini 4K During Prime Day 2026?

The DJI Mini 4K is one of the best budget 4K drones available in 2026, especially if you can buy it during Prime Day at a discounted price.

It offers the right balance of performance, portability, and legal simplicity for most beginners and casual users in the United States. While it lacks obstacle avoidance and has average low-light capabilities, it delivers solid 4K footage in good lighting conditions at a very reasonable price.

If your budget is under $300 and you want a hassle-free drone experience, the Mini 4K is a strong recommendation during Prime Day.

Pro Tip: The Fly More Combo usually gives the best value when it goes on sale.

DJI Pocket 4 PRO Not Available in the USA? XTRA MUSE 2 PRO Early Access Opens Today

DJI Avata 3 or DJI Neo 3? Mysterious Dual-Guard Prototype Leaked

Just a few hours ago, one of the most trusted DJI leakers, Igor, posted a fresh video showing a new drone prototype being tested by one of the experienced FPV testers at an unknown place.

The video is not that clear due to quality issues, as usual. These kinds of early prototype leaked videos are generally blurry, specifically captured in a way to create sensation while also protecting the identity of the upcoming drone. Still, with the help of AI and image upscaling software, the drone design has become clearer to us, which indicates that the drone that is being tested seems like an early prototype of DJI Neo 3, specifically if you look at the structure of the guard protectors of the drone.

“👉Well, well, well…DJI, what are you doing? Let me think: Neo 3 or Avata 3🫣”

The 16th leaked video has been uploaded, and it created massive excitement among the fans, and yes, a lot of them are claiming that it looks like a budget version of the 360 drone mixed with the Neo design. So there is some possibility that we may have a 360 in late 2026 or early 2027.

Why the Guard  Pattern Doesn’t Match Avata 3 Drone Expectations

Recall our earlier report (March 21, 2026): A trusted Chinese source who actually test-flew the Avata 3 prototype told drone creator Mauro Tandoi that the next Avata will feature a panoramic dual-camera gimbal similar to the Avata 360’s 360° viewing angle. The flight feel was reportedly not as sharp as the Avata 2.

Traditional Avata bodies (Avata 1, 2, and the just-launched 360) use rugged cinewhoop designs with smaller, asymmetrical bottom/rear vents for ESCs and motors. Nothing like these oversized side grills. The March leak focused entirely on the gimbal upgrade — no mention of a radical body redesign.

Or Is This an Advanced Neo 3 Whoop Drone Body?

The compact size and ultra-symmetric design feel very “Neo.” The original DJI Neo is the palm-sized beginner whoop that’s insanely popular for its throw-and-go simplicity. A Neo 3 with upgraded ventilation for longer flight times, stronger motors, or even hybrid 360° capabilities would make total sense as an evolution.

Some replies to Quadro_News even called it “Neo 360” or compared it to the HoverAir Aqua. The grill pattern is far more Neo-like than Avata-like.

Timeline: How Soon Could We See This?

  • Avata 360: Just launched in China (March 26, 2026) and now shipping globally.
  • Avata 3: Still on track for late 2027 per the credible March leak. Early field testing of supporting hardware (like a new controller) fits perfectly.
  • Neo 3: Not overdue for a quick  refresh. No official leaks yet, but DJI loves testing radical ideas on the cheaper Neo line first.

The fact that DJI is already doing outdoor multi-device power testing in April 2026 means development is moving faster than the 2027 timeline suggested.

Bottom Line: Most Likely a Prototype Controller for Avata 3 (or Neo 3 Drone)

We’re leaning 65% toward a new FPV 360 Style budget drone for beginners /whoop controller with those signature grills for thermal performance, and 35% toward an advanced Neo 3 Update. The grill pattern simply doesn’t match any Avata drone DNA we’ve seen.

Well, this is really on top of the rest of the leaks that we have published recently, better to say kind of a breakthrough news that we have spotted – DJI has just uploaded a striking new promotional banner for the DJI Avata 360 directly on its official Amazon US storefront. Confirmation from the DJI itself. The banner confirms the product name, the “8K Flagship 360° Drone” positioning, and the bold tagline “Above It All, See It All.” This is the clearest visual proof yet for US buyers — the banner is live right now on the official DJI store page on Amazon.com. The release date is on March 26, 2026. Now waiting to get more confirmation about the shipping date of the upcoming drone

Below we have the price comparison. If you have missed our previous post comparing it to the Antigravity price with Avata360, even before that, take a look at the first hands-on report and reviews that have popped up for the Avata 360, which are very exciting, as well as a revolutionary upgrade over the drone while using it for the first time..

This is the most unique part of the entire drone. Of course, it has a full 360 camera, but how does it actually shoot 360° when one lens is facing you? The second camera is on the opposite side.

What I loved most: the camera actually rotates during takeoff and landing. It spins from the 360 position so the top camera moves to the bottom and vice versa. There are little protective feet/pads at the bottom, so when you land, you’re never touching the lens itself. It sits perfectly protected. You can read the first review here of the Avata 360

Head-to-Head Price Comparison: DJI Avata 360 vs Antigravity A1 (US Approximate Pricing)

Prices are based on current official Antigravity bundles (USD) and leaked European Avata 360 figures converted at ~1 EUR ≈ 1.15 USD (mid-March 2026 rates). US pricing for Avata 360 may adjust slightly at launch, but is expected to align closely or be even more competitive.

Bundle Tier / Comparison DJI Avata 360 (Approx. USD) Insta360 Antigravity A1 (USD) Price Difference (Savings with DJI)
Entry / Drone + Basic Setup Drone Only: ~$528 Not Available (No standalone) N/A (Antigravity requires full bundle)
Mid-Tier / Fly More with Standard Controller Fly More Combo (RC 2): ~$1,080 Standard Bundle: $1,599 ~$519 cheaper
Motion / Immersive Mid Bundle Motion Fly More Combo (RC Motion 3 + Goggles N3): ~$1,080 Explorer Bundle: $1,899 ~$819 cheaper
Premium / Full High-End Kit Premium Combo (Goggles N3 + RC 2): ~$1,333 Infinity Bundle: $1,999 ~$666 cheaper

The DJI Avata 360 comparison that we have done clearly shows that the core specifications [core specs comparison at this page] that we are getting inside the 360 drone are far better than what we have in the Antigravity. Even though detailed comparison videos will be uploaded once the drone becomes official, if you compare and look at the pricing that we have for now, you can clearly see that the Avata 360 is going to cost you a lot compared to the A1. Other than that, we have a dual operational mode — one is the FPV style, and the other is the regular 360 drone, so technically the 360 is more advanced, and the pricing is low.

Why the DJI Avata 360 Matters for US Drone Pilots

This is DJI’s first true hybrid FPV + 360° spherical drone. It combines the immersive flight experience of the Avata series with full 360° capture

This drone gives you one of the widest ranges in terms of dynamic experience, where you can capture in 360° and recompose it later as per your own convenience. Other than that, as a standalone system, the tight shooting experience that you get with this drone is something that is kind of unforgettable with a portable 360 drone, this could be the most versatile drone DJI has ever released under 250 g–500 g class regulations.

Stay tuned — we will update this article once the second pre-order links and full specifications drop on March 30.
