Insta360 Ace Pro 3: Rumored Price, Specifications, and Expected Arrival Date

Yes, we are all waiting for the next action camera with a compact powerhouse in terms of videography specs, the Insta360 Ace Pro 3. The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 was announced in October 2024, featuring 8K video recording capability and a Leica-coengineered lens for optimal output and true color rendering. But, when will the Ace Pro 3 be coming? since the early announcement dates were predicting sometime in late December 2025. Here at TheNewCamera.com, we are compiling all the latest leaks, official announcements, and industry chatter from trusted sources.

Expected Release Date: First Half of 2026

Let’s talk a little bit about history. Insta’s Ace Pro series does have a habit of arriving in the late months of the year. The Ace Pro was announced back on November 2023, and the Ace Pro 2 was announced in October 2024, so everyone was hoping that the Ace Pro 3, based on the previous patterns of the Insta360 Ace Pro series, would arrive sometime between October to November 2025. But this time the landscape has evolved. Before we discuss the exact reason for the delay, let’s discuss what we have achieved so far in 2025 inside the Ace Pro series.

Why has Insta360 Ace Pro 3 been delayed?

  • The company’s December 4 announcement of the Ace Pro 2 SuperMotocross Edition, complete with specialized mounts for off-road cinematic footage, alongside November 12 videography bundles, signals a strong push to extend the Pro 2’s relevance. This mirrors a broader strategy of bolstering current hardware with accessories rather than rushing annual iterations, allowing time for transformative upgrades.
  • Adding to the delay narrative: DJI’s Osmo Action 6, unveiled on November 18, 2025, features a larger 1/1.1-inch square sensor and a variable f/2.0–f/4.0 aperture for superior low-light control, raising the stakes. Yes, they have made a lot of improvements in the hardware part. Having a Bigger Sensor and Better Lens, but failed to score marks in Resolution, still the Action 6 remains limited to 4K recording, although the sensor being used inside the Action 6 is fully capable of recording 8K videos on the go. DJI Action 6 can be considered as a bit of a restored update, and making a clear pathway of upgrade for Action 6 Pro at a higher price point and 8K video recording capability.  Observers argue Insta360 might hold off until early 2026 (potentially Q1/ Q2) to counter with equally ambitious features, avoiding a “me-too” release that could underwhelm.
  • Absence of Perfect Competitor: None of the Action camera makers, including DJI and HERO, has released a TRUE 8K Action camera that can compete against the ACE PRO 2 series offerings. I am not talking about the MAX 2 and OSMO 360, since both of them are 360 cameras, not true action cams. And the Insta360 marketing team will not allow the Ace Pro series to enter into the self-cannibalisation mode. So, without a perfect competitor that at least matches the core specifications/resolution offering of the Ace Pro 2, the announcement of the Ace Pro 3 is completely irrelevant in terms of market situation and competitor offerings.

You’re not talking about any insider reports right now, but based on the market situation, it seems that the Insta360 Ace Pro 3 is not coming anytime soon. It will be released sometime in Q2/Q3 of 2026. An early announcement is only possible when either GoPro or DJI releases an 8K-capable action camera which can directly eat up the existing sales of the Ace Pro 2. Only then will there be a strong chance that Insta360 will release the Ace Pro 3 model; otherwise, they are going to wait for a perfect/true competitor.

Rumored Price: $549–$599 for Flagship Ambition

Leaked pricing holds steady at $549 to $599 for the standalone Ace Pro 3, up from the Pro 2’s $399 launch, and will be justified if the rumours are true and the Ace Pro 3 is coming with sensor leap and pro-grade video tools. For budget action camera hunters, the Pro 2’s current discounts (down to $354) make it a smart interim buy.

Ace Pro 3 Key Specifications: A Leap Toward Pro Cinema Tools

Insta360 and Leica Camera AG have officially extended their strategic partnership. The initial collaboration began in 2020, and the renewal was announced in March 2025. Now, let’s discuss the core specification of the upcoming Insta 360 Ace Pro3 camera,

Feature Insta360 Ace Pro 3 (Rumored)
Sensor 1-inch 50MP CMOS (Leica-tuned) for enhanced dynamic range and low-light
Video Resolution 8K@30fps HDR/LOG, 4K@120fps 10-bit, 1080p@240fps slow-mo
Stabilization FlowState 2.0 with AI-assisted 360° Horizon and global shutter
AI Features Triple AI for auto-editing, gesture control, advanced noise reduction, and color grading
Battery Life Up to 200 minutes (4K@30fps) with 10-minute fast charge
Waterproofing 16m without case; 60m with dive case
Audio Upgraded directional mics with AI wind noise cancellation
Weight/Dimensions ~185g, rugged modular design for accessory compatibility
Other Variable aperture hints, square sensor compatibility, 14-bit RAW photos

These are the set of core specifications we are expecting with the Ace Pro 3 release.  The above information will be updated if we receive any latest set of information related to the Ace Pro 3.

Insta360 Antigravity Mystery: Exclusive Leak of the Unannounced Second Drone Model

insta360 next drone

Yes, the internet right now is buzzing about the new and latest Insta360 Antigravity A1 announcement, which is set to be officially revealed in January 2026, featuring 8K 360-degree video recording capability. However, a new twist has emerged — at the time we were analyzing the leaked images of the Insta360 Antigravity drones, there was also one more drone — a kind of mysterious prototype — captured in the wild. It could be poised to challenge the entire DJI neo series and reshape the entire budget of entry entry-level underweight category drone market in 2025 with its presence.

The Leaked Image: Closer Look at the Second Drone Model

Here, we have the exclusive image — you can clearly see a compact black drone with Insta360 branding on top, as well as foldable arms and ringed propeller guards, which were spotted while testing in the wild. As usual, drone makers like DJI or Insta360 do a lot of wild testing before announcing their final product.

The drone design suggests a very lightweight build, looking very similar to the DJI Neo. It is very much obvious that it will be a lightweight drone, which falls somewhere in the ultra-lightweight category, similar to DJI’s Neo 150-gram drone series. One thing that is really interesting is that, unlike its bigger brother, which is able to capture 8K 360 video, in this leaked image, we are not able to detect the camera position. So the second model’s camera integration remains speculative — it’s very sleek and portable.

Comparing the Insta360 Antigravity Second Model to the DJI Neo

Insta360 Antigravity’s second model completely aligns with the DJI Neo series which was launched earlier in 2025. So here is the detailed comparison of the two:

Feature Insta360 Antigravity Second Model DJI Neo Series
Design Foldable arms, black body, ringed props Foldable arms, lightweight white/black, enclosed props
Weight Appears sub-150g-250g (shoe scale) 135g (ultra-light)
Camera Possible 360-degree integration 4K camera, no 360
Target Audience Creators, outdoor enthusiasts Beginners, casual flyers

So the Insta360 new series or mini series may outshine the DJI Neo with its potential 360-degree camera. As we all know, DJI’s position is very strong in the entry-level budget segment with its Neo series.

Why This Leak Matters: Speculation on Features and Timing

The image was leaked in July 2025 alongside the Antigravity A1 image. Now, as we know, the Antigravity A1 becomes official, and the second Neo-like model suggests a second, ultra-lightweight drone in the same Antigravity series. Yes, we are expecting a 360-degree camera and advanced stabilization — both of these two keywords are tied to Insta360 / Antigravity tech. At the same time, there is no widespread coverage or information related to this same image available yet — thenewcamera.com leads the narrative of this drone leak in 2025.

Insta360 Antigravity Nano Series

Well, we know that DJI holds up to 70 to 80% of the consumer drone market, and Insta360, with its Antigravity brand, is now entering the same market at a great pace. The Antigravity A1 will become officially available to us from January 2026. What’s sure is that this series is coming to target budget drone buyers. Share your thoughts — what are you expecting from this upcoming Insta360 Antigravity Nano/Mini series drone?

Announcing them both alongside may self-cannibalize the sales of the Insta360 Antigravity A1 drone, which is the flagship model right now. So the Mini or the slashed new series competitor is expected to arrive sometime in the second or third quarter of 2026.

Stay tuned, more information coming

USA DJI Drone Ban 2025: Save Your Aerial Shots Before It’s Too Late

Antigravity A1 Drone: World's First 8K 360-Degree Capture Revolutionizes Aerial Filmmaking

Official image of insta360 antigravity A1 drone

Insta360 has finally announced its Antigravity A1 drone — the world’s first drone that can capture 8K 360-degree videos. This is a groundbreaking technology that truly transforms the 360-degree video capturing experience to a completely new level. So, if you are a content creator, travel photographer, videographer, or even a cinematographer, you would love to have 360-degree aerial footage, which was never possible with DJI drones previously.

360-Degree Capture Reimagined for Drone Flight

The core of the Antigravity A1 8K drone is actually its dual-lens setup, which enables the A1 to capture 8K videos at up to 30 frames per second. And the exciting thing is — the entire setup is under 249 grams, meaning you don’t have to take any sort of special license or government permission to fly the drone.

The drone remains invisible during both live view and recorded footage, and that’s the key point of capturing 360° video. Now, very similar to the DJI ecosystem, Insta360 is slowly moving in the same direction. With the Antigravity A1 drone, Insta360 is also releasing its Vision Goggles and Grip Controller, so users can have a direct feed in the goggles and control the drone — just like DJI’s immersive system.

Antigravity A1 FreeMotion Technology

The FreeMotion technology gives you a Superman perspective — like you’re flying yourself using the Vision Goggles and the Grip Controller of the Antigravity A1 drone.

Since the drone is completely invisible during flight, when you’re turning your head while wearing the Vision Goggles, it feels like you are inside the flight, exploring the entire space with a 360° view. So the entire experience is unique and new – even for drone pilots who have used DJI or any other drones before.

Even After Landing – Revisit in 360°

Even after landing and watching the video that was recorded, the 8K 360° footage can be revisited in full 360° form — uncovering all possible perspectives with detailed viewing. A perfect experience for creators who seek extended dynamic range in storytelling.

No Need for FPV-Style Drones Anymore

Yes, the Insta360 Antigravity A1 completely eliminates the need for having an FPV drone. The A1 records complete 360° footage in 8K high resolution, so even if you’re doing maneuvers or following your subject with the drone, once the video is recorded, you can explore every angle, input any rotation (180° or 360°), and freely explore any perspective while the drone is moving.

That gives immense freedom for creativity, all while having enormous 8K resolution to work with in post-production.

Antigravity A1 Key Features: Top Specs for 8K 360 Drone Enthusiasts

  • 8K 360-Degree Capture: Dual top-and-bottom lenses for seamless, blind-spot-free footage.
  • Ultra-Lightweight Design: 249g for regulatory compliance and easy portability.
  • Invisible Drone Effect: Advanced stitching hides the drone in videos and live views.
  • Intuitive Controls: Grip controller with point-to-fly gestures for beginner-friendly operation.
  • Immersive Viewing: 360 live views and head tracking via Vision goggles.
  • Post-Production Power: Reframe footage easily with effects like Tiny Planet and FPV styles.

Lightweight and Travel-Ready

Weighing only 249g, Antigravity A1 meets regulatory requirements in most countries and regions. It’s the perfect drone for creators, families, travelers, and first-time pilots seeking a powerful yet accessible tool for aerial storytelling. Its compact size makes it easy to pack, carry, and launch in seconds.

A New Standard in Ease of Use and Safety

Antigravity A1 is built with simplicity in mind. Pilots fly using the Grip controller, which responds to natural hand movements, eliminating the need for traditional stick controls. Paired with the Vision goggles, users can freely explore their surroundings in real time with full 360-degree visibility. To ensure that Antigravity A1 is used solely for exploration and storytelling, it includes a payload detection to prevent misuse or unauthorized modifications.

“We didn’t want to just build another drone. We wanted to create an entirely new way to fly,” said BC Nie, Head of Marketing at Antigravity. “A1 is the first step in reimagining flight as something anyone can enjoy — something that is safe, intuitive, expressive, and endlessly creative.”

Latest Insta360 Antigravity Drone Leak - Wilderness Testing Unveiled

The Insta360 Antigravity drone is spotted in the wild. The official announcement was already made on July 29, 2025 (read the official press release here), and the final release is expected in late August 2025. Thanks to Quadro News for sharing their pics on X., we now have some high-resolution pics of the same. Let’s explore the Insta360 in a closer view.

The Latest Leak – Testing Out the Insta360 Drone in Wild Scenarios

Just a few hours ago, these images surfaced on the X platform, which include:

Field Test Image – It looks like the tester of the Insta360 drone is wearing VR goggles. He can be seen in a natural setting with green scenery, having a controller in his hand, and even the design of the goggles he is wearing is clearly visible.

Latest Insta360 Antigravity Drone Leak

In-Vehicle Shot – The Antigravity drone can be clearly seen in the vehicle trunk, sitting alongside multiple accessories. On the drone part, it can be clearly seen that the propellers are black in colour, and big kind of casual guards are protecting the propellers from both sides.

The leaks align with the early prototype images of the drone that we have already covered on our website in our previous post — you can check here. But right now, the design of the drone is very neat and clearly visible. Now, the only thing that excites me is whether this particular drone will fall under the sub-249-gram lightweight category or not, since the shape of the drone looks slightly bulky. Let’s explore more…

What Does This Leak Exactly Tell Us

  • 360-Degree Immersive Capture – Since the drone pilot is wearing VR goggles, this suggests the pilot can experience real-time 8K 360-degree footage from the drone, and that’s really exciting. And if this feature is coming inside the Insta360 drone, then for sure it’s kind of a world-first feature to be highlighted for the Insta360 Antigravity.
  • Rugged Design The outdoor use indicates the drone has a rugged build, and it does have LiDAR and advanced obstacle avoidance features.
  • Ease of Use – After looking at the DJI-style controller and goggles, it seems that the use of the Insta360 Antigravity drone will be as easy as operating DJI drones.

Image of one more prototype under test – The mini is also expected to arrive alongside with pro

Take a look at the rest of the core specifications that are expected to arrive inside the Insta360 Antigravity drone

  • 360-Degree Camera: Yes, it’s almost confirmed that the Pro model with dual fisheye lenses is designed to capture immersive 360-degree footage and will be a flagship model of Insta360 drones. You can easily reframe the shots as per your requirement.
  • Innovative Design: The professional model’s arms and motors are strategically placed to remain completely invisible while recording footage.
  • Modular: The drone features a modular design, and it is visible from the pictures. The drone has attachable propeller guards and modular components, suggesting its main focus is on easy repairability and portability.
  • Weight: The weight of at least one drones is expected to fall under the micro category [Under 250 Grams]. This is a critical factor to avoid strict drone regulations in many countries.
  • Additional Features: Insta360 already has a lot of technology ready to be implemented in the drone — this includes AI-powered editing tools, advanced image stabilization, and FlowState technology already used in the X5.

Insta360 Anti-Gravity Drone Announced

insta360

The long-rumoured Insta360 Anti-Gravity drone is now official, and Anti-Gravity is the new sub-brand of Insta360, established by Insta360 itself to manufacture and release drones. The newest drone of the Anti-Gravity series is announced today. It’s sub-249 grams, and it promises to capture 360° 8K  video footage. which falls under the micro category, and it bypasses many country registration requirements. BC Nie, Head of Marketing, emphasizes, “We’re empowering real emotion, enabling freedom and creativity for everyone.”

The drone is scheduled to arrive officially in August 2025. Before that, we may have several teasers, and this is one of the first official teasers of the Insta360 drone.

Also, we have already published the leaked images of the drone—you can check them here. Recently, a leaked video of the test prototype drones of Insta360 has also been revealed.

Why Insta360 is Shifting to the Drone Market

DJI is facing U.S. government restrictions, and most of its drones are not available throughout the U.S. Specifically, drones that fall under sub-category 249 are the ONLY drones permitted for sale in the U.S. The same type of restriction is being faced by DJI in the Indian market, too. It’s a golden opportunity for Insta360 drones to expand their consumer base and market reach, catering to those who are willing to buy drones but are unable to access them due to existing restrictions.

Introducing Antigravity: The Future of Aerial Exploration and Storytelling

Today marks the official launch of Antigravity, a new drone brand with a bold mission: to redefine aerial exploration and storytelling.

Incubated by Insta360 in collaboration with third parties, Antigravity isn’t content with simply releasing another drone into an already crowded sky. Instead, it’s creating an entirely new category — combining the world’s first 360 drone with true immersive capture. All packed into a sub-249g form factor, with 8K resolution to match.

The brand envisions a future where drones enable immersive and intuitive experiences that reflect the curiosity, creativity, and spontaneity of the people using them. Whether capturing a family hike, a weekend road trip, or a new perspective on everyday life, Antigravity empowers people to explore and create while experiencing life as it happens.

“Today, most drones are tools. With Antigravity, we’re aiming higher,” says BC Nie, Head of Marketing at Antigravity. “While others compete on specs, we’ve flipped the script, reimagining what a drone should be able to do. The result is something that empowers real emotion and enables experiences like freedom, creativity, and discovery for everyone.”

The Idea: 360 Immersive Flight

At the heart of Antigravity’s design philosophy is the concept of 360 immersive flight. The brand aims to own this space completely, and replace the technical complexity inherent in both drone flying and 360-degree videography with expressive, story-first experiences that are easy to master yet exceptionally powerful.

Inspired by You. Made for Everyone.

Antigravity drones are made for the curious and the adventurous. Creators. Travelers. Families. People with bold ideas but with limited time to learn complex flight controls and aerial content creation. It’s for anyone who’s ever wanted a drone, but felt it would be too big of an investment for something they may never be able to use to its full potential.

Ease of use is the starting point for all Antigravity products. Users don’t need experience. They don’t need a checklist — the drones are operated intuitively. While the rest of the industry is designing products for experts, Antigravity is building drones for everyone; beginners, experts, and everyone in between.

A Collaborative Approach to Product Design

Antigravity is also redefining how products are designed by making community and collaboration a core part of its ethos. Through the Antigravity Hub, the company’s co-creation program, enthusiasts and community members are invited to help shape the future of Antigravity’s products and features.

Every idea is read and considered, and those that inspire future products or features will be rewarded accordingly. Every contribution will be helpful in understanding what matters to users. Antigravity products are not designed in isolation. They’re inspired by the people who believe in what they can become.

Technology Has Caught Up

Antigravity — and its upcoming first product — launches at a pivotal moment when hardware, software, and user expectations have finally aligned. After years of quiet development, the technology is ready to support a new kind of drone experience. This drone is set to revolutionize the industry, introducing several world-firsts in drone design that enable pilots to experience and capture the world in ways that weren’t possible before.

The drone has been designed to reflect Antigravity’s commitment to building a product ecosystem with unique personality, meaningful features, and a clear sense of purpose. To ensure that Antigravity drones are used solely for exploration and storytelling, all drones will include smart safety features such as payload detection to prevent misuse or unauthorized modifications.

Antigravity’s first drone will be unveiled in August 2025. More information is available at www.antigravity.tech.

Why Antigravity Could Redefine Aerial Storytelling in 2025

  • Industry Insight: Just after the announcement of the Insta360 A1 drone, I stumbled across the web, and, starting from The Verge, they have suggested the Antigravity A1 shouldn’t cost $2000. While in a Reddit discussion and in some of the YouTube creators’ videos, I have found that a $999–$1,299 price for the Standard Bundle Kit, is what they are claiming for the upcoming drone.
  • Value Proposition: The Creator/Professional Kit targets Insta360’s existing camera users, as well as it also offers bundled savings valued at a $500 premium but feeling like a $200 to $300 add-on.

Official Specification and Features of the Insta360 Antigravity A1

The Antigravity A1 combines Insta360’s 360-degree camera expertise. The drone has one of the newest and most innovative designs. The drone never had a 360 ° camera on it before, and it has been designed in such a way that the drone becomes completely invisible, and you get a 360° viewing angle in 8K resolution.

Weight: Under 249 grams – so that’s a perfect weight when you want to fly the drone everywhere you want without taking any permission, since most countries do not have any restrictions on drones which weigh under 249g.

Camera: Insta360 features dual 360-degree 8K recording cameras, which can record smooth 8K 30FPS video with FlowState image stabilization and AI-powered editing tools.

Camera Specs:

  • Resolution: 8K
  • Capture Type: 360-degree capture
  • Lens Configuration: Dual-lens setup (top-and-bottom)
  • Stitching: Advanced algorithms for invisible drone effect in live video feed and final footage

The Invisible Drone Effect: That’s the best part of the 360 recording. Some users also say while using the DJI goggles they feel like Superman, since with the drone perspective you can explore everything everywhere in 8K resolution — and that gives the true “Superman Effect.”

Flight Performance:

  • Flight Experience: Immersive 360-degree flight with FreeMotion technology
  • Control: Intuitive point-to-fly controls via Grip controller
  • Live View: 360 immersive live view with head tracking via Vision goggles
  • Editing Flexibility: Fly first, frame later; allows post-flight reframing and editing in any aspect ratio without quality loss
  • FreeMotion Technology: Enables immersive flying experiences, compatible with Insta360’s Vision goggles and Grip controller for intuitive control

Modular Design: So we have the attached propeller guards and a complete modular compartment that can be easily repaired. Portability is also easy.

Safety Features for Your Drone: We have attached propeller guards to the Antigravity A1, and a return-to-home feature is also included — so if you lose the signal, the drone will automatically return home. At the same time, obstacle avoidance and precise landing capabilities are already in place.

Additional Features: So we have AI-enhanced editing, advanced image stabilization, and compatibility with the existing Insta360 software ecosystem.

How Does It Compare to DJI Drones?

Insta360 Antigravity A1 enters a competitive market dominated by the DJI Mini and Air series. So let’s have a quick comparison:

  • Weight and Portability: 249 grams — the Antigravity A1 exactly matches the DJI offerings at the very same price point, making it equally travel-friendly and easy to carry.
  • Camera: Now we have the Antigravity A1 drone, which is capable of recording 8K 360° video. At this moment, none of the DJI drones are able to do so. But yes, we do have some rumours related to DJI’s upcoming 360 drone. So it may not compete directly, but it will be a great option for us. Right now in the standard DJI 4K offering, we have the Mini 4 Pro, which is also affordable at a very reasonable price point

So now we have the big question: Will the Insta360 Antigravity Drone A1 — and not only the A1, since others are also coming just behind the A1 — challenge DJI’s dominance?
