Just few days ago we have told you company’s stock is priced about 8X higher than the lows of 2011 (See here). But there is a bad news, Olympus Imagine Business sales are touching ground according to latest reports published by the Company.
Consolidated net sales in the Imaging Business amounted to ¥16,039 million (down 25.5% year on year), while operating loss amounted to ¥218 million (compared with an operating income of ¥1,085 million in the same period of the previous fiscal year).
Ongoing moves to shrink the Imaging Business to a scale more appropriate for the shrinking market and the impact of the Kumamoto earthquake of April 2016, which caused delays in the supply of some products, resulted in lower sales for the Imaging Business.
Despite efforts to squeeze expenses, lower sales resulted in an operating loss in the Imaging Business

Olympus New Camera camera registered in Taiwan, the code name of the camera is IM002. Not only camera you can see the list of standard accessories coming with the IM002 camera, it includes
– Battery: BLH-1
– Battery Charger: BCH-1
– USB cable: CB-USB11
We hope that the newly registered camera is Olympus E-M1 II camera, coming with a new battery grip. But you should also know that IM001 code was issued for unannounced E-PL8 camera.

The Japanese camera maker not only cleaned the scandal mess of 2011 but they are also showing financial excellent result.
Back on 2015 the Japanese camera maker was expecting net profit for the year ending March 2016 to be 56 billion yen ($461 million), but the recent numbers have been encouraging as the current report says the annual net income hit a record at 62.6 billion yen ($590 million) for the year ended March 2016.

The major profit of Camera Maker is not coming from Digital camera section, actually the revenue coming from its medical business, which sells endoscopes and other devices that help doctors see inside the body.

It’s look like the announcement of Olympus E-M1 Mark II is very near, Digital rev website even started taking pore-orders of E-M1 Mark II camera (even before the official announcement).
Yesterday, we have reported that Canon, Olympus and Leica upcoming cameras name popped over a Indonesian wireless certification agency website.
