The Japanese camera maker not only cleaned the scandal mess of 2011 but they are also showing financial excellent result.
Back on 2015 the Japanese camera maker was expecting net profit for the year ending March 2016 to be 56 billion yen ($461 million), but the recent numbers have been encouraging as the current report says the annual net income hit a record at 62.6 billion yen ($590 million) for the year ended March 2016.

The major profit of Camera Maker is not coming from Digital camera section, actually the revenue coming from its medical business, which sells endoscopes and other devices that help doctors see inside the body.

It’s look like the announcement of Olympus E-M1 Mark II is very near, Digital rev website even started taking pore-orders of E-M1 Mark II camera (even before the official announcement).
Yesterday, we have reported that Canon, Olympus and Leica upcoming cameras name popped over a Indonesian wireless certification agency website. That clearly indicates that Olympus Mark II in the announcement pipeline and and as our report says it will be the next and only big announcement from Olympus in near future.
We have published several times the leaked specification of the upcoming E-M1 Mark II camera, the camera was expected to arrive during photokina 2016, but there is a chance that we may see it bit early.

The Olympus OMD E-M1 Mark II camera is rumored to arrive this Photokina but now according to recent rumors via 43Rumor the camera will arrive on Q1 of 2017.
The delay in Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera usually due to the shortage of sensor supply by Sony. That’s why announcement of Olympus E-PL8 and even Sony compacts and Mirrorless camera is also delayed without any notice.

We have published Olympus 24mm F1.4 lens patent few days ago, we also published 28mm F2 article a while ago related to the same. Take a look at the new patent surfaced over the web today of 28mm F1.4 Mirrorless Fullframe Lens.
The patent was filed on 2014.12.10 and awarded on 2016.6.20.
It’s very clear that Olympus is seriously involved on developing fullframe mirrorless system cameras from 2014, We may expect a major product or development announcement this Photokina 2016.
