DJI Osmo 360 II Internal Photos Surface from FCC

DJI Osmo 360 II Internal Photos Surface from FCC

Finally, as the announcement time of the DJI Osmo 360 II is getting closer to us, the camera has started slowly revealing more of itself. Fresh internal and product photos directly coming from the camera’s FCC filing have now become public. Since the 180-day deadline period of the FCC already passed on June 19, 2026, and the time I am writing this post is July 27, 2026 — the period expired more than a month ago (roughly 37–38 days past).

As we all know, after the short-term confidentiality ends, internal photos, external photos, test setup photos, user manuals, etc., automatically become public on the FCC database (unless an extension was filed, which is rare and usually not granted beyond 180 days).

  • Grant date: December 21, 2025
  • Maximum short-term confidentiality: 180 days from the grant date
  • Expiry: Around June 19, 2026

These images were first shared by one of the most trusted leaked, Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News) and come from the official FCC exhibits for FCC ID 2ANDR-OQ0022512 (Model: OQ002). The short-term confidentiality period on the filing expired in mid-June, so the photos are now publicly available.

What’s Visible in the New Photos

  1. Battery Confirmed

The most important confirmation is the battery. The internal photos clearly show a DJI lithium-ion pack labeled BCX102-2150-3.86 with a rated capacity of 2150mAh / 8.3Wh. This matches earlier FCC documents and represents a solid upgrade over the original Osmo 360’s 1950mAh battery.

  1. Design Remains Very Familiar

From the external shots, the Osmo 360 II looks extremely close to the first-generation model. The overall shape, screen size, button layout, and port placement appear nearly identical. The rear still carries the DJI logo and speaker grille, while the side shows the familiar “OSMO 360 II” engraving.

  1. Label & Certifications

One of the images shows the full regulatory label. It confirms:

  • Model: OQ002
  • FCC ID: 2ANDR-OQ0022512
  • Input: 5-9V ⎓ 3A Max
  • Multiple certifications including CE, UKCA, and BIS India (R-41204781)

The presence of the BIS mark is notable for Indian buyers, as it indicates the camera is already being prepared for official sale in India.

  1. Internal Layout

The opened unit reveals a compact main board with flexible ribbon cables, copper shielding tape, and a relatively clean internal arrangement. Nothing dramatic stands out in terms of major redesign — this appears to be a refined evolution rather than a complete overhaul.

Quick Recap of What We Know So Far

  • FCC registration was completed in December 2025
  • Battery increased from 1950mAh → 2150mAh
  • Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth support confirmed in earlier documents
  • Prototype units were already spotted in the wild in mid-July 2026

What This Means for the Launch

DJI OSMO 360 II replacement lenses have already hit the retail store warehouses, as we have confirmed in our previous post. The Camera itself is expected to be announced soon, on or before Aug 2026.

We’ll continue monitoring for more details, especially regarding sensor size, video specs, and pricing.
