Canon Announcement of July 9, 2019 Rumor

A rumor spread over the web that Canon will going to announce Canon G7X Mark III, Canon G5X Mark II and new RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM lens on July 9, 2019. Please note that Japanese sources are silent right now and these rumors are being spread new and anonymous sources. So, Take it with grain of salt.

Canon EOS R X / Pro Mirrorless Camera Coming Before Q1 of 2020

According to latest rumors Canon EOS R X / PRO Professional camera is coming at Q4 of 2019 or may be at Q1 of 2020. The sources of the rumor mill suggest the camera will be announced alongside with Canon 1DX Mark III.

We don’t know how much this information is credible since it’s coming after Nikon D5 equivalent Mirrorless camera news broke out.

Rumor mill believes Canon 1DX Mark III and Canon EOS RX (or whatever the name will be) both will be coming along side but we don’t. We don’t want to talk about rumors right now, only logical facts what we have.

Take a look what Canon Representatives said in an interview back on 2018

The Tokyo Olympics in 2020 is coming up – when we look at photographers shooting with Canon at Tokyo in two years time, what will we see?
The Tokyo Olympics is a very important opportunity for us. If we look at the professional camera market, we would like to introduce a professional model at that time. Having said that, we take reliability very seriously. So when we talk about [creating] a model for the Olympics, we’re not just talking about performance. We’re also want to make sure that we can achieve the same level of reliability that we’ve always delivered [in our professional DSLRs].

Canon rep. literally confirmed that they will be announcing a pro model before Olympics of 2020. In their answer they didn’t say they will be announcing Mirrorless OR DSLRs.

The interview was published back on December 20th, 2018, at that time we have per-assumed that they are talking about a DSLR, specifically successor of Canon 1DX mark II.

I think now you have the answer. The time has changed and now both DSLR makers are now putting attention towards Mirrorless cameras and they are shifting their consumer base slowly to Mirrorless zone by cannibalization of DSLRs.

From Nikon president we have got clear hints that Nikon will be releasing Nikon D6 Mirrorless edition in near future.

Canon into DSLR cannibalization from past year, and its look we will be having our Canon EOS RX / PRO camera in next 7-8 months. Canon 1DX Mark III camera will be delayed.

The Best part is long awaited Canon G7X Mark III camera is finally coming. But one of the main issue is, both camera is coming together. G5X Series step above than G7X series and will cost you more and will exhibit more features.

I just hope and expect Canon shouldn’t add any forced limitation inside Canon G7X Mark III camera to save up the sales of pro model G5X Mark II and show up it as a better option than G7X Mk III.

Canon is working to improve Lens standby mode, to make it more energy efficient and minimize wake up as much as possible. Future Mirrorless lenses arrive with improved built-in internal memory and customized functions that will allow users to have more options than of now.

As we know Nikon already working to introduce pressure sensor as well as Bio-metric sensor in future mirrorless camera and lenses. May be Canon is also moving in the same way… We will update you soon as we get any new information.

Canon EOS C500 Mark II Camera Rumors

Once again we are getting up rumors of Canon EOS C500 Mark II camera. Sources of veteran rumor said that the C500 Mark II camera was shown to a very selected group of dealers at NAB 2019 back in April.

So, if the rumor is correct then we may have the long awaited Canon C500 Mark II camera this year.

Canon G5X Mark II Announcement Soon

According to latest information from Japanese sources Canon G5X Mark II camera is coming this month (June 2019). So finally Canon G5X Mark II camera will be Canon first 1″ Sensor based compact camera to feature DPAF sensor and 4K Video recording capability. If Canon is able to add external Mic. recording option it would be great.

Why Canon G5X Mark II before Canon G7X Mark III ?

Canon G5X series a step-above model then Canon G7X Series and bit costly too. BTW, in general the specification of the both series remains almost same. Canon G7X Mark III cleared wireless certification test back on December 2018 and we have published its image also. But, it’s look like Canon marketing team decided to announce G5X Mark II earlier than Canon G7X Mark III. Since a early announcement of G7X Mark III camera may lower down then sales number of G5X Mark II.
