According to the latest rumors, Sony is working on a high resolution 54 megapixel full frame stacked BSI CMOS sensor. The Sensor based on same architecture of Sony A6500 camera sensor.
In that post the source of the rumor mill also confirmed that the 26MP sensor being used inside the Fuji X-T3 camera is made by Sony.
We Already have a bunch of information related to Sony 60 megapixel full frame sensor [see here and here] that is rumored to be used inside Sony upcoming full frame mirrorless cameras. For the first time we are getting news about Sony 54 Megapixel fullframe CMOS sensor.
Sony will use 50+MP Sensor for Sony A7R IV
Despite of creating one of the best high-resolution full frame cameras in the market, Sony is still behind resolution of Canon 5ds R camera. So resolution wise Sony is still lagging behind Canon. And they need to overcome that.
There is a big possibility that Sony may use 54MP or 60MP Stacked CMOS sensor for their Sony A7R IV camera. It’s necessary for Sony to surpass the Canon 5DSR Resolution barrier and to become No.1 in competition.
We will update you soon as we get any new information.
According to latest rumors Panasonic giving hints about possible announcement of Panasonic 8K Video camera in near future. It all started with an interview, Panasonic France Manager clearly hinted that they can make Panasonic 8K M4/3 camera in near future. Take a look at the statement

Ok, now its also important to look back a bit, Panasonic M4/3 8K Camera news is not new. Back on Feb 2018 we have published news that Panasonic successfully developed 36MP M4/3 sensor which records 4K videos. For more details you can check here
Olympus 8K Mirrorless camera in Future RoadMap
It all started with Olympus, when the reveled their future strategy in their Annual Report of 2017. In an Annual report published by Olympus mentioned about the development of 8K video and PRO Lenses for their MFT lineup
Take a look at the important announcements made by Olympus back in 2017
1) Focus on the development of high-value-added mirrorless cameras (primarily OM-D series) and interchangeable lenses
(PRO series) boasting competitive prices
2) Develop systems that allow for improved efficiency in new product manufacturing start-ups and mass production by
transferring production to Vietnam
3) Establish comprehensive range of technologies for 4K and 8K video, development of devices necessary for recording at
these resolutions, and optimization of interface with outputs (monitors)
So, competition is always very healthy and consumers will get advantage of it. But at the same time are we ready for 8K on our camera. Since we need high speed processing computers and 8K display units.

Now let’s talk about latest Tamron patent, Tamorin is working on 100-400mm F2.6-F8.3 for M4/3 sensor. After looking at the aperture range I am bit surprised, having a 8.3 aperture at 400mm end isn’t so normal and you need to have vast amount of light to get clear shots with your lens. But before we begin, I must tell you that I am not impressed with the aperture range of upcoming Tamron 100-400mm lens for M4/3 camera.

Well there are lot people, those who are waiting for Fuji X-T30 camera. As we all know Fuji X-T30 camera is the only camera in Fuji line-up which uses third generation of 26MP Fuji X-Trans sensor. So, its bit obvious for people to wait for next iteration.
It’s bit logical to except a Fuji X-T30 camera from Fuji also, If you look at the announcement pattern of Fuji X-T series Cameras, then you will find a rhythm in their announcement pattern.
Also Keep in mind factors like Target sales unit and Competitors.
In a very simple way if we talk about the possible arrival time of Fuji Next X-T30 camera then we have less than 6 months. Fuji will announce their Fuji X-T30 camera between March to May Months of 2019. Since, Fuji only took only 6 month to announce X-T20 camera after the announcement of Fuji X-T2.
Now let’s. talk it in bit details while considering some other factors.
The First Factor is Target Sales of X-T3
In general other camera companies also follow the same trend and you should aware of that. Once the sales target of a flagship camera is reached and company already earned a good amount from the sales. They announces the affordable version of the same camera to reach out more people and gain more sales.

Fuji X-Pro2, Fuji X-H2 and X-E3 Updates are Due with X-Trans 4
Before we think of getting a affordable X-Trans 4 body in our hand we have to think over that Fuji flagships update are overdue. And if they put X-Trans 4 sensor under affordable body, it will hamper future flagship camera sales.
Fuji Changed its strategy, their only main aim is to lead the APS-C segment despite of taking care of their own flagship cameras, that’s why instead of putting attention towards X-Pro2 update Fuji putting attention towards other model development and announcement. Their only aim is to put best Specs in front of consumers under reasonable price tag.
Fuji X-T30 Early Announcement Depend Upon Competitor offerings
If Sony announces Sony A6700 on NAB or at Photokina 2019 [see first set of leaked specs here] the only way to kill its sale is to put a affordable body in market carrying 26MP X-Trans sensor and with 4K30p recording option under or approx $1000 price range. So, Fuji X-T30 announcement actually depend competitors offerings.
Fuji X-T30 will arrive in 2019 only if Sony announces something better than Fuji X-T3 with lower price tag. Otherwise we have to wait till 2020.
Do share your thoughts with us. Do remember Fuji GFX 100 Official announcement is due for 2019

According to latest rumors Canon is working to in high-resoltuion fullframe mirrorless camera. The camera is said to feature 75 + Megapixel sensor. However Canon 5DS R is still world highest resolution fullframe camera, since no Fullframe or Mirrorless camera is able to reach or cross the 50MP resolution mark.
So, finally we are getting some more confirmations about Canon Mirrorless camera, it is expected to arrive in the year 2019.
Is it feasible for Canon to load more Megapixel in a camera without putting attention improving dynamic range and low-light performance ? I don’t think so.
Either they have to seek the help of other sensor makers (yes I am talking about Sony) for creating high resolution DPAF BSI Stacked sensors. Or they have to upscale their Sensor tech, Canon already have BSI CMOS sensor patents and they should also use these tech to improve the sensor performance as soon as possible.
Rumor is coming from unconfirmed sources to take it with grain of salt.
