Just few days ago we have told you that Panasonic GH5 is coming with 16 megapixel sensor. And as we all know Panasonic GH3 was discontinued to few days ago make a space for a new camera announcement, however the Panasonic GH4 is still available.
Latest information suggest that the Panasonic GH5 will arrive in late August, 2016 at IBC conference. However also keep in mind few days ago we have also published information that two new camera from Panasonic is expected to arrive by end of this month and one of the camera is probably successor of the current LX100 camera.

If you look at B&H listening of the Panasonic GH3 camera, it says the camera has been discontinued. However the Panasonic GH4 is still available.
Few days ago we have told you Panasonic GH5 is coming with 16 megapixel sensor and advanced image processor. The announcement of Panasonic GH5 camera was rumored to be announce on the photoKina 2016 event, by discounting older products Panasonic is preparing to free production units to fullfill the demand of upcoming GH5 camera.
The information we have received earlier suggest that Panasonic GH4 successor will carry 20MP sensor, but the latest Rumor suggest the camera is coming with 16 megapixel sensor, and New image processor. We have no word about the upcoming camera video capability, it will carry 6k video mode or may remain limited to 4K mode.

Panasonic is not coming with new sensor according to latest rumors, earlier it was expected that the camera will arrive with new 20MP sensor as of Panasonic GX8, but according to the tipsters of 43rumor website the Panasonic GH5 will have same image sensor as of Panasonic GX85 camera and resolution of the camera will remain limited to 16MP.
The rumor mill also confirmed that the camera will have newly developed image processor to uplift the standard of image quality and video.
However, it still a rumor and we have to wait till a final specification sheet will arrive.

 According to trusted sources of 43rumors the upcoming Panasonic camera will have same 16MP sensor as of Panasonic GX80 camera, I can’t believe in this rumor since February, 2016 Japanese publication Nikkan, reported that next GH series camera is arriving with 6K video recording @ 30frames per second.
If Panasonic GH5 is coming with a 16MP sensor then there is no option left to record video above than 4K, since to record a 6K video we need at-least a 24MP sensor.

Sony has an 18.9mm*13mm M43 sensor designed for Panasonic that could be used in GH5. Very high-end, 24 channel super fast readout speed that BIONZX could not keep up with. Only Panasonic can fully unleash the potential of this chip right now.
It clearly means that GH5 is coming with a superior sensor and ultra-fast image processor. The camera is set to arrive on Photokina 2016.

Not a big news but more conformations that supports the announcements of Olympus E-M1 successor and Panasonic GH6 camera. Latest rumors surfaced over rumormills suggest that Panasonic GH5 and Olympus E-M1 II is likely to arrive around Q3/Q4 of 2016.
If we look at the recent rumors and reports published by Japanese publication, there is a big possibility that Panasonic GH5 is coming with 20 or 24MP sensor and will capture 6K video. Not only that we have confirmed news that Pnasonic will annoucne a 8K capable consumer mirrorless camera before 2020 Olympics game.
But the information related to Olympus E-M1 II is very less, however the E-M1 update is due for a long time and we do expect that Olympus will select Photokina for flagship announcement.

 Panasonic next GH series consumer level camera is excepted to record 6K video. The news surfaced over the web via Japanese publication Nikkan, according to the magazine the camera will arrive with 6K video recording @ 30frames per second.
The best part is while recording 6K video the every frame you record is of 16 Megapixels, so you can grab 16 Mp stills from 6K video anytime you want.
The news is not new during earlier Panasonic also confirmed that they are also working on a 8K consumer level camera.
On May 21st, 2015 we have published, During the Panasonic G7 announcement Panasonic revealed its future plans of 8K video, including 4K at 60fps and 120fps, take a look at a snapshot what ephotozine writes
“Panasonic announced plans for future 4K and 8K video and photo features, including 4K at 60fps and 120fps, as well as the ability to take 33 megapixel still images from 8K video footage. They say they are planning to have this technology ready for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. No further information was given at the time.“
Panasonic plan is perfect, they will announce a 6K consumer level camera on Q4 of 2016 OR Q1 of 2017 and a 8K capable camera on 2020.
