Canon Cinema Camera patent surfaced over the web, The patent shows a XC10 style camera with integrated interchangeable lens Mount. We have received rumors in past that Canon is working on EOS Cinema camera, which was rumored to arrive sometime near Photokina 2018. As we all know Canon is putting more attention towards Mirrorless announcement this year, we may see some sort of delay in announcement of EOS Cinema camera.

The official press release of Nikon full frame camera development doesn’t reveal its specification or anything about the Nikon mirrorless system cameras but it do confirm that Nikon full frame mirrorless cameras will going to accept F Mount lenses ( of course with the help of an adapter due to flange distance issue).

The mirrorless camera and NIKKOR lenses that are in development have enabled the pursuit of a new dimension in optical performance, with the adoption of a new mount. The mirrorless camera is the result of Nikon’s advanced optical and manufacturing capabilities gained through over a century of heritage, as well as superior image-processing technology. The expertise built up through the development of Nikon’s digital SLR cameras has also critically contributed to this development.
With this new mirrorless camera and NIKKOR lenses, we are committed to providing photographers with the ability to capture images that are richer and more vivid than ever before.
Additionally, a new mount adapter is being developed for the new mirrorless camera. This will work with the NIKKOR F mount lenses that are part of the Nikon digital SLR system, adding to the variety of choices for photographers.
Nikon will continue to lead imaging culture with the launch of this new mirrorless camera, as well as with the continued development of Nikon digital SLR cameras, providing consumers with the choice of enjoying the unique values of either system.

In recent camera ranking revealed by Japan BCN for the first half of 2018 (January to June 2018). According to the stats published by the BCN website, Nikon is leading on DSLR category and for particularly this month the Nikon D5300 sales are up then any DSLR model in Japan. But, we do have some good news for Canon also. Canon is currently leading in mirrorless category at Japan BCN rankings.
In the first half of the current fiscal year, the camera was the biggest change compared with the annual share of 17 years. In the lens integrated type, Canon was the top with 27.9% of the market share, but in the first half of 18, Nikon maintained a full lineup on a low price route, with 31.0% surpassing Canon. With Mirror-less SLR, Olympus was top with 27.7% in 17 years, but Canon who put the strongest brand “EOS Kiss” in the lens replacement camera in the first half of the year into mirrorless at the top was in the top position .
Unfortunately, there is no space for Canon this time in DSLR catgory, Take a look at the BCN award Rankings of past year. For sure this year the ranking will change based on the current trend of market.
After the announcement of Fuji XF200mm F2 Lens they have also announced a roadmap of upcoming lenses. And according to the road-map there are two lenses, XF16mm F2.8 WR and XF16-80mmF4 R OIS WR, which are due to announce on the 2019 and one lens XF33mmF1 R WR is schedule to arrive somewhere around 2020. Yes, the XF33 mm F1.0 is first Mirrorless lens in the world made for Fuji cameras and features F1.0 aperture.
By announcing road map of lenses Fuji film always does a great job. Based, on the road map you can clearly see the list of lenses expected to arrive in near future, that will sure going to encourage new users to get a Fuji system camera. In a Press statement, Fuji also said that they will going to boost up the production of lenses up to 70%.
At the end I am going to say that Fuji must also put some of its attention in announcing affordable lenses for entry level users those who are purchasing the XT 100 camera or x A5. If you are going to buy the Fuji 50 mm lens then the price of that lens despite having weather sealed feature is too high compared to the Canon 50 mm lenses for even Nikon’s. Same in the case of 18-135 MM lens, Fuji lenses are way too expensive compared to the DSLR lenses. So, my only request to Fuji is this should put some of their attention in creating lenses for entry level users.
