Nikon recently registers a new APS-C Mirrorless camera with model code N2016. We have confirmed its APS-C DX Mirrorless camera since, the camera uses Nikon EN-EL25 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (7.6V, 1120mAh). The same battery being used by the Nikon Z50 Mirrorless camera. And as you can see from the details available, during the test Camera was using Nikon DX Z-mount kit lens 16-50mm F3.5-6.3 VR.
1. Nikon Z30 or Nikon Z50 II
As per previous rumors we have received in the past we have high hopes that the next camera is an entry-level camera from Nikon (Nikon Z30) Although there is a slight possibility too that Nikon May update its Z50 camera with a selfie-friendly vari-angle display screen, by naming it Nikon Z50 Mark II.
2. Announcement Before July 2021
Once The camera gets registered Nikon Rought takes two months of time to announce the new camera. So, we are expecting the announcement of the Nikon Z30 (we do have high hope that’s an entry-level model) / Or maybe Z50 Mk II before July 2021.

As you Can see Canon is still able to grab a big market share, despite being a new Mirrorless Player in the market. For the fiscal (not calendar) year, Nikon puts their forecast ILC unit market share at (850/5,300) 16%. For the 2020 calendar year, Canon puts that ILC unit market share at (2.76/around 6) 46%. Sony doesn’t report unit sales of cameras.
Canon cash cow for the year 2020 was the Canon R5 & R6 Mirrorless models. We hope and expect Sony will bring out Sony A7 IV camera soon, to gain more consumer base in the market (A7S III isn’t in the reach of everyone). According to the latest news coming out from rumor mills, Nikon Z9 will not use a Sony-made sensor. The upcoming Nikon Z9 camera sensor is being made by TowerJazz. Nikon wants to lessen up their dependency on Sony.

According to the latest rumors surfaced over the rumor mills, Sony A6700 / A7000 (High-End APS-C Mirrorless Camera) announcement may happen in May 2021. Sources of the rumor mill suggest the camera will feature a 30mp APS-C EXMOR CMOS Sensor.
As usual before the official announcement of any camera, we generally get leaked images and specifications of the camera. So, if the rumor is true then for sure images and specs of the camera should be available to us in the first or 2nd week of May 2021.
