Pentax K-1 is now Official, we have published a lot of rumors and finally the camera arrived as expected. The camera features same sensor as of its predecessor but it does carry some of noticable improvements. Now the ISO of the camera is not boosted upto ISO 819,200. And of of the biggest improvement Pentax made is to enable pixel shift high resolution mode without the need of Tripod. The Sensor shift mechanism corrects the camera shake and create high resolution files at the same time.
The core specs remains same but according to the press release the camera features new and improved AF algo that will sure improve the AF accuracy of the camera. Even in 2018 Pentax flaship camera features Full HD recording which bit unusual.
The camera features weather-resistant construction and a flexible, articulated 3.2″ 1.04 million dot LCD complemented by a nearly 100% optical viewfinder (0.7x magnification).
The Pentax K-1 Mark II will go on sale in April for $1999.95 body-only , or bundled with the HD Pentax-D FA 28-105mm F3.5-5.6 ED DC WR zoom for $2399.95.

We are talking about a technological breakthrough done by Panasonic. According to DCWATCH (Highly reputed Japanese website) Panasonic successfully developed a 36MP 4/3 Sensor able to record 8K video. Initially they may use this sensor for Panasonic GH5R? (just a thought) by limiting it to 4K or 6K video mode.
Now 2 years from now Panasonic representative told yes they are working to make a consumer camera available on 2020 Olympics with 8K video capability.
This year are expecting to see Panasonic GH6 camera with 6K capability coming on September 2018 [Pho0tokina event]. And after a year gap [2019] we will sure see a Panasonic GH8 K camera from Panasonic.
