DJI Osmo 360 was announced on July 31, 2025, and believe me, it is one of the best 8K 360 cameras I have ever seen. The reason is DJI Osmo 360 camera uses dual 1-inch square HDR sensors that boost the entire video performance of the camera in terms of dynamic range, low-light performance, color reproduction – everything. The camera records 8K videos up to 50 frames per second and captures still images as high as 120-megapixel resolution.
So, either you are a professional filmmaker or you are a content creator, in this particular guide we will guide you to get the best possible accessories to elevate your content creation or filmmaking to the next level. From lens protectors to selfie sticks, everything is listed here. Let’s explore the list—but even before that, why accessories matter to the DJI Osmo 360, and why you need to buy them—first, understand this:
Why Accessories Matter to the DJI Osmo 360
We all know it’s a powerhouse camera with 8K video capability and dual fixed fisheye lenses for vibrant 8K video—we all know that. But at the very same time, if you are not going to protect those lenses, even a minor scratch will bring some anomaly in the video that you have recorded, and later on, in post, you will have to fix it, and that will be a big mess. So, having proper accessories is highly recommended.
Eventually, we have listed some of the best invisible selfie sticks + powerbank selfie sticks that will hold your camera rock solid and will not be visible in the entire footage + it will increase ur recording time, creating a kind of drone-like footage. And finally, the camera is IP68 waterproof—it can handle 10m of water. At the same time, we are listing here some of the best waterproof cases for long underwater shoots, since even DJI advises against prolonged water submersion.
Recommended DJI Osmo 360 Accessories and Lens Protectors
1. Lens Protectors for the DJI Osmo 360
These lens protectors are highly recommended. Protecting Osmo 360’s oval dual fisheye lenses is highly important. So, in the lens protection category, we have two options:
DJI Transparent Lens Protector ($12.99) – The DJI Transparent Lens Protector is available at a very reasonable price of $12. These lenses are multi-coated optical glasses which actually protect your camera while in use from scratches and impact. So, these are the must-have daily-use lenses for your Osmo 360 camera.
Rubber Lens Protector – The rubber lens protector is generally what you get in the combo boxes, and it protects the lenses when they are not in use. These are a kind of translucent protector.
2. DJI Osmo 360 Best Selfie Sticks
The main objective of the 360 selfie sticks is to get completely invisible while shooting 360-degree footage. At the very same time, it should hold the camera rock solid.
DJI Osmo Invisible Selfie Stick + Quick Release Mount Kit (3.9′, $59.99)
This stick disappears in 360° shots, ideal for vloggers seeking drone-like footage. The quick-release mount simplifies setup, making it perfect for dynamic shoots. Preorder at B&H.

3. DJI Osmo 360 Mounts
To enable hands-free filming of videos without any worries, you must have a perfect magnetic quick release system that will also ensure the safety of the camera.
DJI Osmo Dual Heavy-Duty Clamp for Motorcycle ($54.99) – While riding motorcycles, it is highly essential to ensure the safety of your camera. That’s why the dual ball head and crab-style clamp are highly essential while riding the motorcycle.
DJI Osmo Multifunctional Bike Tube Mount Kit ($45.99) – The DJI Osmo Multifunction Bike Tube Mount Kit is actually made from carbon fiber and comes with a quick-release adapter.
DJI Osmo Third-Person Helmet Mount Kit ($39.00) Excellent tool –
Perfect for skiers or bikers, this kit includes a carbon fiber rod and quick-release adapter for third-person helmet shots. Preorder at B&H.

4. DJI Osmo 360 Battery and Power
While you are out—specifically when you are traveling—it is always necessary to have power extension kits along with you.
DJI Power Extension Rod (35.4″, $99.99). It acts as a selfie stick, but it is a power bank that extends your shooting time up to 4.5 hours.
Multifunctional Battery Case (Included in Adventure Combo) – This allows you to charge 3 separate batteries simultaneously. It comes with the Adventure Combo.
5. Other Accessories That You Must Look After
DJI Osmo Tripod Selfie Stick – The DJI Osmo Tripod Selfie Stick, as the name says, is a multifunctional item. It’s a selfie stick but it with three legs so you can easily put it on the ground.
DJI Invisible Waterproof Case – That’s highly required when you want to create the invisible effect while shooting 360° underwater videos.
If you are going to compare Insta360 X5 accessories compared to the DJI Osmo 360, then the lens guards that we are talking about are set at $12.99, whereas X5 lens guards cost $29 to $49. So that’s the major difference we have in lens protection. Otherwise, the selfie stick prices are almost the same.
But one noticeable thing is that you can use DJI Osmo Audio, like the DJI Mic, without any receiver since the Osmo 360 has a built-in transmitter ready. So, you don’t need to invest much more in external mics—it’s already made for you. So the audio quality via DJI Mic provides a better option compared to the X5’s built-in mic.

DJI has covered more than 50% of the video camera market share of Japan, and with one single product – the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 – that’s really a big surprise. Let’s analyze the recent report published by the BCN+R authority retail stores of Japan. If you look at the history, then when the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 was announced back in October 2023, just after the announcement, it had covered approximately 11.3% of the video camera market share.
Osmo Pocket 3 Holds Top Spot in Japan Since November 2023
Now after its announcement in October 2023, just after a month, in November, the video camera market share — from 11.3% — increased to 26.8%, and from November 2023, the Osmo Pocket 3 reached the number one spot for the best video camera in Japan, and from that day to June 2025, it’s still at the number one position.
DJI’s 50.3% Share Challenges Canon, Sony in Video Market
The recent report says it has covered approximately 50.3% of the manufacturer’s share in the Japanese video camera market, which is indeed a big surprise as well as an alarming sign for all mirrorless makers like Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Panasonic. Since all these companies and others are sitting on the rest of the 50% side, and here, only one single product has gained a 50+ market share of the entire market.

DJI Mini 5 Pro: Price and Arrival Date
Now we have the DJI Mini 5 Pro announcement on August 7, 2025, just after the Osmo 360 official announcement. This compact drone is a successor to the ultra-popular Mini 4 Pro. The DJI Mirrorless Camera
We were first talking about a potential DJI mirrorless camera last year. Literally, they do have a dedicated medium format camera series — Hasselblad — since Hasselblad is now owned by DJI. Soon, we will have the X2D Mark II camera announcement, possibly this August.
But, according to the latest rumors we have, DJI is working on a different set of medium format cameras that do resemble the Hasselblad X1D camera, but it’s an entirely different series. They have partnered with Huawei for the development of its OS.
Potential Impact
It will surely create a big threat to the existing mirrorless makers like Canon, Nikon, and Sony. But yeah, we are still waiting for further confirmation related to the official arrival of the DJI mirrorless camera.
What This Means for the Industry
The DJI July 2025 announcements will surely bring some of the best cameras and drones to the market, which will redefine 360-degree photography. With the help of Mini 5 Pro, we are getting all the professional set of features in a lightweight drone. Both of them will create a huge and deep impact in the market. A lot of new consumers will now select DJI as their go-to solution.
Apart from this, we have a huge range of other products waiting for the official announcement. These include Osmo Action 6, Neo 2, Avata 3, and the speculated DJI mirrorless camera. All these are in the announcement pipeline.

DJI Mini 4 Pro was announced back in 2023, and now we have confirmed information and leaked images of the upcoming DJI Mini 5 Pro camera. The recently surfaced leaks by authentic sources confirmed its existence. So, first, we will discuss everything we know so far related to the features and the potential upgrades the mini drone is coming with — let’s jump into the content.
Pricing and Availability
- Base Model: Around $799–$850 USD, including basic controller.

DJI Mini 5 Pro Specifications Explained
- 1-Inch Camera Sensor: One of the most exciting reveals is the introduction of a 1-inch camera sensor module inside the DJI Mini 5 Pro. With the introduction of the 1-inch sensor inside the drone, it will increase the overall image/video quality.
- LiDAR Obstacle Avoidance: For the first time in an ultralight drone of 249 grams, DJI is about to introduce LiDAR obstacle avoidance systems. It has now been supported by 12 front-facing wide-angle sensors and rear-positioned back sensors. With all the sensors, the DJI Mini 5 Pro will revolutionize the ultralight drone category.
- 25 km Range: Now, the technical specifications suggest the overall range of the DJI Mini 5 drone is approximately 25 km, which is a 15.5-mile range. The extended range combined with advanced LiDAR sensors, makes this a kind of professional role with an ultra-lightweight body. So, you can use it in various locations and different countries without getting into trouble.
- Lightweight Design Under 249 Grams: So that’s what I was talking about — this particular drone remains exempt from FAA registration for recreational use in the United States and in multiple countries around the world. If you are using a lightweight drone, then no issue. But particularly when using heavy drones, you have to take permission from the local or state government. So, this is one of the best drones to keep with you.
- Noise Reduction Effort: From the design, it is very clear that the one-piece propeller and the potentially removable guard have been designed by the makers to reduce the noise to its maximum extent. The Mini 4 Pro produces 51 dB.
Mini 5 Pro Leak: What Started It All
Rumors are not new related to the DJI Mini 5 Pro, as there have been numerous reports circulating on the web for several months. However, we had decided not to publish them since none of them confirmed their existence or provided any confirmed information.
The real buzz started with Jasper Allen himself on June 18, 2025. They showcased the leaked images of the DJI Mini 5 Pro, which featured a sleek design and one-piece propeller. The source has suggested it could be a prototype of the Mini 5 Pro, noted with the absence of vented motors as seen in the earlier leaks, but those were unconfirmed.

Observation of DJI Mini 5 Pro Images
Design Evolution: The prototype that we have seen features a very compact build with a removable propeller guard, potentially addressing the noise concerns raised by the DJI Flip Drone users. So that modification has been adopted in the new design of the DJI Mini 5 Pro.
The drone uses a large 1-inch sensor-based camera module — a significant, or you can say a major update from the Mini 4 Pro’s 1/1.3-inch camera sensor.
Users on X.com are highly excited to see the new design and the large 1-inch camera sensor, which must debut in the upcoming drone. That response was phenomenal. Although some of them are pointing out that it is a Photoshopped image and not a real one, as we all know, Jasper Allen is a trusted source and never shares Photoshopped images.
Expected Release Date: September 2025
Based on the 2-year refresh cycle of the Mini 4 Pro series or whatever, the DJI Mini 5 Pro release date is expected to be sometime in September 18, 2025.
By the way, you can stay tuned to TheNewCamera.com for future updates.
