Canon Upcoming Camera Models Update Nov 2026

Great news! Canon has registered a new cinema camera with the wireless certification agency, and the camera’s model code is ID0191. Referred to as ID191, it has been spotted by the veteran spotter E8M_8888. This is not the first registration, as we know Canon has four cameras pending with the wireless certification agency. Including this one, the total number of camera registrations now stands at five, which clearly indicates that over the next 6 to 7 months, Canon will be releasing one camera after another and will raise the bar for competition to the next level for sure.

We all know that Nikon is about to announce the Nikon Z70, a premium flagship APS-C/DX-format camera, in the month of November. At the very same time, the Canon R7 Mark II camera has already appeared in the wireless certification agency (back on July 1), and the registered model is DS126965. As per the sources, Canon has accelerated the announcement exercise of the R7 Mark II camera, which is rumoured to carry a higher-resolution Stacked APS-C sensor. The announcement was intentionally delayed earlier due to the absence of a strong competitor in the market. But as the Z70 date has been confirmed, the Canon R7 II announcement is expected to happen in the next 2 to 3 months.

Now, let’s talk about today’s announcement. What has Canon registered today, and from the registration details, what sort of confirmation do we have related to the upcoming model?

The registration is dated September 18, 2026, in China. According to the Digicame Info report, the device is a video/cinema camera (Canon uses the “ID” prefix for Cinema EOS models). Wireless details show dual-band Wi-Fi 5, with no Bluetooth listed.

Keep in Mind: This is not a brand-new registration. The October 31, 2026 Digicame Info coverage rediscovered an existing filing that had not previously received wide attention. As of early November 2026, Canon has not officially announced any camera matching this code.

Canon’s Pending Registrations

The ID191 is not the only unannounced Canon product currently sitting in certification systems. As of the latest roundup (October 31, 2026), Canon also has four additional registered but unreleased cameras:

Based on camera reg details and the available set of information, we have created the expected camera arrival table next

What This Means

Canon continues to maintain a full pipeline of registered products. The ID191 is specifically a Cinema EOS body, while the four DS codes cover a mix of interchangeable-lens cameras and at least one compact. Registration typically occurs months before announcement, so an official reveal of any of these models could still be several months away.

No US pricing, availability, or launch timing has been announced. We will update this article as soon as Canon officially announces any of these cameras or as new registration details surface.
