Canon today announced that they have made world biggest sensor with Ultra high sensitivity. So that sensor is literally very big in size when you are going to see in comparison with Canon entry level Rebel camera.
Canon has succeeded in developing the world’s largest class of CMOS image sensor measuring approximately 20 cm square. The Big Canon Sensor is used by Kiso Observatory operated by the University of Tokyo’s Institute of Astronomy. Ultrahigh-sensitivity sensor made possible the world’s first video recording of meteors with an equivalent apparent magnitude of 10, a level so dark that image capture had not been possible until now.
The large sensors will going to fulfill the specific demand of astronomical Laboratories around the globe those who required largest sensors Telescopes / space exploration. While creating such a big sensor Canon developed parallel processing tech and new methods to overcome the problem of bigger sensor.

According to latest rumours coming from Mills. Canon will going to announce new mirrorless camera ahead of photokina event in September 2018. And not only mirrorless announcement Canon will also going to do DSLR camera during photokina event.
If rumors are true, then what about cannibalization of DSLRs ?
Well that’s really interesting because few months ago Canon officially said, this year we will not going to see DSLR because there will going to be some kinda cannibalization inside Canon. This year they will going to keep their concentration on the development and announcement of mirrorless market instead of DSLR. And probably that’s why we have received some set of information in the past, that Major dslrs announcements are shifted to 2019.
Unannounced Cameras List
Now before we begin to talk about any current sets of latest rumours you have to look at the list of registered cameras from Canon, those who are expected to announced in next few months.
As you can see, Canon have a a total of 8 models in the announcement pipeline. And Model K433 and K424 are Fullframe Mirrorless camera According to Japanese sources. We also have two DSLRs in the list and the model code is K436 and K437.
Canon Next DSLR Camera – No Fullframe DSLR in 2018 ?
However, if you are going to talk about the regular update cycle of dslrs, then Canon 7D Mark III camera is top on the list because the 7D II update is overdue from a long time. After Canon 7D Mark II the most outdated camera in Canon DSLR lineup after the Canon 5ds / 5dsr. So it’s really interesting to see the next DSLR from Canon. Toyotsugu Kuwamura to Retire From Canon U.S.A., Inc.
Shinichi Yoshida Named Successor as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Canon U.S.A.
MELVILLE, N.Y., June 7, 2018 – After more than 38 years working at Canon, Toyotsugu Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager of Canon U.S.A.’s Business Imaging Solutions Group (BISG) and Chairman and CEO of Canon Solutions America is set to retire effective July 1, 2018.
Mr. Kuwamura first joined Canon, Inc. in 1980 and has held a number of positions within the organization in Japan, Canada, and the United States. During his time at Canon U.S.A. Inc., he was responsible for overseeing the Océ integration into Canon Solutions America in 2013 and, most recently advocating the “One Canon” approach to customers.
Effective immediately, Mr. Shinichi Yoshida has been named his successor as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group (BISG) and Vice Chairman, Canon Solutions America, Inc. In addition, Mr. Joe Adachi will assume the role as Chairman and CEO, Canon Solutions America, Inc.
“I want to thank Mr. Kuwamura for his years of service, strong leadership and dedication to Canon and I wish him luck in his retirement,” said Joe Adachi, chairman and CEO, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “It is with great pleasure that I welcome back Mr. Shinichi Yoshida who spent more than 23 years with Canon U.S.A. and I look forward to having him on my management team as we continue to position BISG for future growth.”
Mr. Shinichi Yoshida joined Canon Inc. in 1983, and has worked at Canon Europe, Canon Virginia, Canon U.S.A. and most recently as Executive Vice President/GM at Canon Canada. His successor will be Mr. Nobuhiko Kitajima as Executive Vice President/GM, Imaging Systems Group and Professional Printing Solutions Group, Canon Canada. Mr. Kitajima joined Canon Inc. in 1981 and has had various assignments at Canon Inc., Canon Europe and Canon U.S.A. throughout his career. Mr. Kitajima was promoted to Vice President and General Manager, Marketing, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A. in July 2016.

- Special coatings has been introduce to reduce flairs in heavy backlight situation. Actual optical elements of the III version of the lens remains unchanged compared to the II versions.
- Super Spectra Coating has been completely re-worked according to Canon. The new lenses have completely brand new coating.

Canon 70-200mm F4 IS II USM Changes

- Image stabilization of the lens is updated and now the 70-200mm F4 Lens provides 5 stops of image stabilization.
- A new Mode 3 IS option added to the lens. The Image Stabilization option will work only when you Fully press the shutter button. Viewfinder / Display isn’t stabilized.
