According to latest rumors coming from rumor mills, Canon will announce their new Mirrorless system cameras on Early September 2018. Possibly on 3/4th of September 2018.
The news isn’t new and we have received hints in past that Canon will announce their mirrorless system cameras on or before September 2018. You can check out here.
But the big contradiction to the rumors are we aren’t getting any solid leak, I haven’t seen any leaked image till now nor the rock solid set of specification of the upcoming camera. In general before a month of official announcement, we get Major specs and before 10 to 15 days prior to announcement we get images of the upcoming product. So, let’s assume according to rumor mills if Sep 3/4 is the announcement date of Canon Mirrorless system cameras, than we should have the Major specs of the camera and images before Aug 21 / 22. Just hope for the best and keep your finger crossed.
As we all know that Canon Already Registered two FF Mirrorless camera in the wireless registration agency, and one of the test prototypes was carrying a 30MP FF Sensor inside. Being said that, Photokina is one of the best platform to showcase or announce flagship cameras or lenses. Canon SX740 HS Competitor
It’s very clear that Nikon is preparing to announce the competitor for the Canon recently announced Canon SX740 HS (Amazon.com | B&H) compact camera. The compact camera features 4K video recording @ 30 frames per second upto 30 minutes also 40x optical zoom in ultra compact body.
At the same time we have the Nikon A900 camera which already record 4K video at 30 frames per second and features 35x optical zoom in ultra-compact body, so it’s really interesting to see what coming next. There is a slight possibility that Nikon will going to enhance the optical zoom lens 5x more to match the Canon SX740HS camera.

Once the camera is registered at wireless certification agencies, it really takes 3 to 4 months to become official product. So we do expect that Nikon will soon going to announce the Nikon a900 successor in next few months.
Canon register a new compact camera today, the code name of the camera PC 2357. The camera first surfaced at Indonesian wireless certification agency. The camera have wireless module WM 600, which is now found in most of the Canon compact, mirrorless and DSLR cameras. According to the Registration List, Canon have only one compact camera registered at wireless certification Agencies. So we can’t expect any more compacts in few moths, possibly we will G or SX Series compact is next.
