Interchangeable Camera Module based Smartphones Coming

The latest patent documents floating over the web clearly shows a interchangeable camera module with a larger sensor (shown in the in-circle), the sensor size from the design look similar to APS-C sized sensor of DSLRs and mirrorless camera.

But the biggest problem is once you attach the big sensor module the smartphone size goes big and infeasible for normal use.

As you can see variable camera modules will become available for smartphones based on user choice.

Nikon New 18-55mm Kit Lens Coming Soon

Nikon is finally in the mood to upgrade its ultra-popular DX 18-55mm kit lens, according to latest rumors surfaced over the web Nikon will announce the new lens on January 2016 along with a new Nikon DX DSLR.

Samsung Officially Denied the Nikon NX Camera Division Acquisition News

Samsung itself denied all the rumor floating over the web that Nikon acquired Samsung NX line-up (see here). A Samsung UK spokesman told Amateur Photographer that:

“Media reports that Nikon is allegedly buying our NX technology are not true“.

That clearly smashed all the rumor created by some websites about Nikon buying their NX mirrorless technology. Keep in mind that Samsung is still fully active in USA and we may see Samsung NX2 or other high-end mirrorless camera in next few months.

Sony Pro Compact Coming with F2.0 Zoom Fixed Lens

Fuji X-Pro 2 Coming with New X-Trans Sensor ?

From the latest leaked rumor we came to know that X-Pro 2 and X-T2 is finally coming. We do expect the upcoming camera will take the X-Trans tech. to a new level, However nothing is confirmed until we get confirmed set of specification of the upcoming camera(s).

Fuji X-Pro2 update is due from a long time and not only Fuji X-Pro2 all camera updates are almost halted due to delay in arrival of upgraded sensor tech. Finally a hope has been raised that the upcoming X-Pro 2 may arrive with X-Trans III sensor. Sony Acquiring the Toshiba Image Sensor Business

According to latest news roaming over the web Sony will soon Buy Toshiba image sensor business and it will also become a part of recently borned Sony Semiconductor Solutions. Right now Sony produces 40% of the worldwide sensors, after the acquisition of Toshiba image sensor business Sony will produces more than 50% of the worldwide sensor production.

Reuters Says:

“Toshiba Corp is nearing a deal to sell its image sensor business to Sony Corp as part of a restructuring plan laid out by Chief Executive Masashi Muromachi earlier this year, the Nikkei reported on Friday.”
