Canon 7D Mark II is undoubtedly world best APS-C sensor based DSLR camera, Canon today announced a new firmware update to fix the issue occurring with the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM lens or EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens, take a look at the improvement list below
Canon 7D Mark II first firmware update issued by Canon,
- Improves AF accuracy when used in combination with the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM lens or EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens.
- Fixes a phenomenon in which, in very rare cases, the “Peripheral illumination correction” is applied inconsistently.
- Fixes a phenomenon in which, while performing an EF lens firmware update, the progress bar displayed on the LCD monitor may freeze at 100% even though the update has been completed.
- Fixes a processing error in relation to the leap second for the “Geotag information appended to image” and “Log data” GPS functions.
- Fixes a phenomenon, where at the time of shooting in very rare cases “Err 70” occurs, or the shutter does not release.

Canon 80D core specification tossed over the web via a dpreview forum member MichaelVadon, earlier he also published lot of info realted to 5D Mark III successor you can see it here [Canon 5D Mark IV – The Rumor Saga Continues]
Canon 80D Rumored Specification
- 24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor & Digic 6+ or 7 Image Processor
- 3.0″ Vari-Angle Touchscreen LCD Monitor
- Full HD 1080p Video Capture
- 49-Point AF System
- Hybrid CMOS AF III
- Built-In Wi-Fi Connectivity with NFC
- Continuous shooting rate of up to 8 fps
We don’t expect Canon will use Hybrid CMOS AF III in the upcoming camera, Canon Dualpixel CMOS AF technology is advance and better compared to Hybrid AF and in Pro camera like 80D Canon will sure implement Dual-pixel AF tech.
However at this moment we don’t have any confirmation.

After waiting for about 4 years, there is lots of expectation that the users will now see the successor of Nikon D300S in the coming month of September, 2015. The latest rumor is surfaced over the FOX2 forum
take a look at test surfaced at the Fox2 forum
The only ‘facts’ I have been told are:
– its on its way, will be called D400, is scheduled for announcement in sept and will have a 24MP sensor.
Everything else is speculation but as it is likely to be the flagship of the cropped sensor range logic tells me that it will be a higher spec (and no doubt price) than the D7200 so would expect it to draw in quite a few of the bells and whistles from the D4s/D810 etc. What would be very desirable (for me) is a fast burst rate, group area AF, high ISO capability, fast write speed and quite a few other things I will think about over the weekend! lol
The only possible reason I think behind the delay of Nikon D400 camera was absence of a true competitor, over the past few months advance APS-C camera like 7D Mark II from Canon and NX1 from Nikon already created a different space in the APS-C cam market. Nikon D7200 specification look inferior in front of the recently announced flagship and Nikon need a flagship DSLR at this moment to continue the APS-C flagship legacy.
It is expected that Nikon D400 should be a very impressive and powerful camera compare to its predecessor Nikon D300S and there will be lots of magnificent features set for sports and wildlife shooters. It will come with 24MP APS-C Sensor comparatively superior to 12.3 MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor of Nikon D300s.
At this moment we don’t have much information till date but we expect that it will have possible 51 points AF system, ISO range upto 51200, and will also supports recording 4K UHD.
We know that Nikon will soon or later will going to announce the Nikon D400 camera. Take a look at the post published on April 11th, 2015 – Nikon D400 Will Arrive in Future

First take a look at the reason behind the delay of X-pro2, X-E3 and X-T2…
On March, 2012 the first X-Trans sensor based camera was announced., its name was X-Pro 1, after that X-E1 and X-M1 was also announced having the same 1st gen X-Trans same sensor as of X-Pro1.
On January 7, 2013 Fuji introduced a 2nd generation of X-Trans sensor.. but this time they have selected X100S camera for the introduction of X-Trans II… after that Fuji announced X-E2, X-T1, X100T and X-10 (on May 18th, 2015 ) by having the same sensor.
But unfortunately from 2013 Fuji is stucked at X-Trans II and they are unable to bring any new professional camera like X-Pro 2, X-E3 or X-T2..
According to latest rumors surfaced over the Fujirumor website, Fuji will use the same sensor as of unannounced Sony A7000 camera in its upcoming X-Pro2,.. May be the news is correct since they are unable bring new version of X-Trans sensor from 2013.
However Fuji X-Pro 2 announcement bit delayed again due to the issues of A7000 camera (overheating of the sensor while recording 4K) , so if Sony announces its camera in next few months (possibly in September), than Fuji camera will be released the first half of 2016 about six months after the A7000 announcement
