We have already published the Ricoh GR II leaked image few days ago and also told you that camera is expected to arrive this month, now it’s major set of specification surfaced today, the sensor will feature better low-light performance compared to its predecessor however the leaked specification doesn’t give any details about the resolution or ISO range of the camera…
Take a look at the leaked specification (written in Bold Text) and its detailed analysis below…
The Lens is same as as its predecessor, the camera features fixed focal length lens with a 35mm equivalency, the lens is built with Two aspherical lens elements that minimize aberrations for sharpness.
The image processor is also same as of its predecessor, so we don’t have hope for any significant change in the Auto-focus performance and continuous shooting speed of the camera.
- Improved auto white balance
- Improved high sensitivity noise
Let’s hope for the best that the upcoming camera will have significant improvement in the image quality compared to its predecessor.
- Wi-Fi and NFC
- Smartphone cooperation function
The upcoming camera will going to feature built-in NFC and WiFi, the camera can share its files effortlessly with other smart devices and also you can use/control your camera from a distance via NFC.

We have published yesterday that Ricoh GR II image and major specification leaked, now we are comparing the images of the two camera…
The images of both the camera look soo similar that you cant say which one is successor or predecessor, but the problem is these camera not only for outside both camera is almost same for inside too since they have the same sensor and the lens.. however to do a specification comparison we don’t have enough data right now, but you can bookmark this page for future updates.
PS: We are getting some info from external sources that the Sensor is new, however trusted Japanese source said that the sensor is same as of the Ricoh GR.. we will update you soon as we get any new information.

We are surprised to see a Canon 12-35mm Lens patent made for a 4/3 sensor based camera,
Take a look at the patent details….

- Published 2015.4.16
- Filing date 2013.10.3
- Canon patents
- Positive and negative positive and negative positive five-group zoom
- Rear focus (fourth group)
- Anti-vibration (part of the third group)
So we have the possibility…
1. Canon is silently working on a 4/3 sensor based mirrorless camera system to grab some mirrorless market share.
2. Canon G1X series compact camera (G1X and G1X Mk II) have 1.5 sensor , the 1.5 inch sensor is bit bigger compared to 4/3 sensor as you can see in the image above, So it is also possible that the Canon next big sensor compact camera, possibly Canon G17 or ultra compact version of current G1X Mk II camera will have 4/3 sensor loaded with the 12-35mm lens.

 Nikon Professional compact cameras update is due for more than 1 year, but why we picked this topic today since according to email we received from a new source
Nikon will use 20.2 MP 1 inch in upcoming large sensor compact camera and 24.2MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor in the successor of Nikon coolpix A, that clearly means that the upcoming Nikon coopix A II camera will get a 24.2 MP sensor and Nikon P8000 (or may be a completely new model) will get a large 1″ inch 20 MP sensor.
Why do believe the rumor we have received is true because Few days ago an interview to mobile01.com Nikon representatives said
Q: Any new Coolpix A? Any plans to respond to Canon and Sony’s 1-inch sensor fixed-lens compact cameras?
A: Sony’s 1-inch CSC is definitely very successful. We will have a competing product in the future.
The source also said that the AF system of the camera will remain same, however the AF speed will increase due to new image processor and advance AF algorithm.
We have used the rumored models name on the title, but we are not sure the upcoming models will have same name or different.

Finally Nikon Discontinued its first APS-C Sensor based compact camera, the coolpix A was announced on March 5, 2013.. so almost after 2 years the production of the camera finally stopped.
About the Coolpix A Successor
We have recieved a email from a anonymous source few days ago (Take the information as grain of salt), according to him
Nikon Coolpix A successor Prototype(s) have 24 Megapixel DX format sensor inside it, Fast image processor and improved Autofocus Speed compared to the predecessor.
Few things are still unclear that Nikon implemented a new AF algorithm to improve the contrast detection AF speed or they will use completely new APS-C 24 MP sensor with active phase AF points, the expected announcement time-frame is Q2-Q3 of 2015.
