Sony A6400 visited DXO Lab

We already published the High ISO Test of the Sony A6400 , we have also compared the photographic dynamic range test score of Sony A6400 camera with Sony A6500 and XT-3. Now its time for DXO Mark Lab score.

DXO Mark Says

Anyone comparing the Sony A6300 and A6400 will find the results intriguing. Although the two models share a similar sensor resolution (pixel count) and the overall results are very close, the measurements are not identical.

Despite its slightly higher noise floor over the A6300, the new A6400 sensor performs well, combining a wide dynamic range over a highly useful range of ISO sensitivity settings and excellent low-light ISO capabilities. Although that directly impacts the color depth, the A6400 remains capable of delivering extremely pleasing images. Combine those attributes with the new AF system, 11fps continuous shooting, and a relatively affordable price, and you have a very enticing camera for sports and action photographers on a budget.

In this review, we have compared the Sony A6400 to its predecessor and to its most relevant rival from other another brand. As usual, you can create your own comparisons and in-depth analyses using our interactive image sensor ranking tool.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of shake correcting performance due to an error.SOLUTION: A shake correcting device comprises: an angular speed sensor 12B for detecting angular speed of a camera; an acceleration sensor 12A for detecting acceleration of the camera; a posture computing portion 32 for computing the posture of the camera, on the basis of output of the angular speed sensor and the acceleration sensor; a correcting portion 21 for correcting the output of the acceleration speed sensor, on the basis of a computing result of the posture computing portion; a control portion 35 for controlling shake correction, on the basis of an acceleration signal after correction by the correcting portion and an angular speed signal from the angular speed sensor; and a determining portion 51 for determining reliability of an initial posture of the posture computing portion. The control portion makes weight of the signal based on the acceleration sensor heavier (S9), when the determining portion determines that the reliability of the initial posture is low (YES in S7).

Nikon Z6 Mirrorless Camera Support DUAL IS [Lens VR + Sensor IS]

I was really amazed to see with the help of FTZ adapter the Nikon Z6 camera was working in collaboration with Nikon VR (Optical Image stabilization) system. After activating the Lens based VR the overall image stabilization of the camera unexpectedly improved, you can see for yourself.

Nikon Should Add VR to S-Line of lenses

After watching this video I recommend and hope that Nikon will soon add VR (Vibration reduction) tech to their future S-Line of lenses. Since, the camera they have made support DUAL IS feature. The Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7 share same Image stabilization module inside, so there is no doubt that Nikon Z7 will also work in collaboration with VR lenses.
