Hello tech lovers. Now you have to imagine this situation. You are scrolling X late at night and bam. You just spotted the leaked photos of the DJI Pocket 4 — the next big thing that hits your feed and brain simultaneously. Now, the tiny camera has already created a lot of buzz before its official announcement around the corner. The camera, which can easily fit in your pocket and gives you enormous power to create content with a big punch. That’s the Osmo Pocket series for you. The Pocket series, including the Pocket original, the Pocket 2, and the Pocket 3, has redefined content creation in a unique and different way. Specifically, the Pocket 3 has become so popular among content creators. It has grabbed almost 50% of the video market in most countries around the globe.
Let’s have a look at the OG Leaked Image shared by a trusted source, published on Aug 31, 2025. More details here
Both of the camera modules look completely different in size. The left one is noticeably tinier, akin to auxiliary sensors we generally see in smartphones or DJI drone multi-camera module units, for specialised functions. This asymmetry suggests not a symmetrical stereo pair but a main-auxiliary duo. source image credit: Quadro_News
And yesterday, November 24, the internet exploded. Why? Store photos from a DJI shop in China, showing a wild dual-camera gadget. But wait—is it the real prototype? Or just some clever AI fake? Let’s cut through the noise. Simple as that.
source of the leaked image @Xdrones Studio
The Leak That’s Lighting Up X
First, take a look at the design. The design is not new. It has already been shared by a vet leaker, which does resemble that, having a dual camera setup.
Apart from this, the post was shared by xdronesstudio on Twitter with the handle D2 Help – it started with @D2Help’s post. In Portuguese: “Super weird—the buttons, the twisty screen, and a screen on the back? 😱 DJI Pocket 4 AI hoax??” – and just after they have published this particular post, although they have mentioned in the last line their confusion about the image by clearly mentioning, pocket 4 AI hoax ?… , but no one cared about the letter part. Everyone started sharing the same images one after another on X, within a very short time, across multiple accounts on X. Finally, it reached us again via our subscribers for cross-checking and verification.
ut before we jump to tell our conclusion about the recently leaked image, we have our friend @hakasushi who really cares about sharing authenticated images and content. Take a look at what he said: “Screen on the wrong side? Gimbal looks wonky. AI’s fooling us good.” Doubt everywhere.
How the Buzz Spread Like Wildfire
@D2Help lit the fuse at 11:30 GMT on November 24, dropping two intriguing promo shots of what looks like the DJI Pocket 4 in a sleek Apple Store-like setting. Their caption? A mix of awe and doubt in Portuguese: “Very strange—the buttons, the rotating screen, then a screen on the back 😱…. !!!…?? 🧐 DJI Pocket 4 AI??” Complete with #dji #djipocket4. Boom—cross-posts ignited:
- @Drones19170668 on November 25: “Dji pocket 4 👈🙂” Sharing the same leaked image with a cheeky point-and-smile emoji, like it’s the perfect holiday gadget tease.
- @D2Help followed up on November 25 with more visuals: “#djipocket4 e ….” alongside a side-by-side image and a quick video clip, fueling the design speculation.
- Fresh today (November 26), @WillStarkhpym jumps in with a hype comparison: “🎥 Pocket 3 vs Pocket 4—the evolution of smooth shooting! Smaller, smarter, and sharper visuals in every frame. 🔥 Which one would you choose? 🤔 #DJIPocket3 #DJIPocket4 #DJI,” pairing it with a mockup image.
Reddit’s buzzing too – r/osmopocket side-by-sides. Weibo threads calling out “perfect lighting? Smells like AI.” Remember Pocket 3’s fuzzy leaks in 2023? They were real. But now, with tools like Midjourney, fakes are pro-level. One X user nails it: “Five shares? It’s truth… or trash.”

Real Thing or Total Fake? Our Quick Check
When we asked Grok to analyse the image, whether it is real or fake, Grok pointed out some of the AI indicators that we cannot ignore, and these are:
Signs of Fakery (AI/Manipulation Check by Grok AI)
- AI Generation Indicators:
- Subtle inconsistencies: The gimbal tilt/bracket misalignment (poster’s second red flag) looks unnatural—real DJI gimbals lock precisely. Screen reflection on the grip doesn’t quite match the ambient store lights.
- Lens assembly: Dual lenses are symmetrically placed but seem “pasted” (minor edge glow under magnification). Background elements (e.g., laptop screens) are sharp but lack fine details like visible ports or keyboards.
- Generation artefacts: Hands-free setup is common in AI images (e.g., Midjourney prompts like “DJI store demo with futuristic gimbal”). The “LIT” overlay could mask edits.
Now, these are the analyses done by Grok, which seem to be valid. The other big point is that the image is not coming from any of the trusted, known sources.
We have done a deep analysis of the image. Now, as a reader, it’s your turn to let us know what you think about the image is it real or Fake? Let us know in the comment section below

It is really a very big surprise that this is the second time in the past 3 months that the Hasselblad ultra-luxury X2D Mark II camera, which costs approximately $7,399 for the body only, and then you have to pay extra for lenses. This luxury camera is again back in the #1 position on the Yodobashi Camera interchangeable lens sales chart, which is an exciting and amazing scene. I’m not able to believe such a luxury camera is at the number one position for the second time. That means the sale is going really very well and that will encourage Hasselblad to expand the mirrorless lineup. This is for the first half of November 2025 (Nov 1–15), per fresh CAPA CAMERA WEB data.

The Hasselblad X2D Mark II 100C was announced earlier this year, and it is not a cheap or affordable camera. It costs more than $8000+ body only. Well, Japanese people obviously prefer quality over price. The camera features a massive 100MP 43.8 x 32.9mm BSI CMOS sensor, 16-bit color, 15-stop dynamic range, a newly added LiDAR-based 425 phase-detection AF system, and industry-best 10-stop in-body stabilisation. All these features mean the camera is built to deliver ultimate image quality to a professional. “But topping Yodobashi’s charts? That’s not just hype; it’s a sign of Japan’s discerning buyers prioritising quality over quantity
- The Comeback Story: The camera already scored #1 in September 2025, dipped last due to the ZR buzz, and Nikon users were pre-ordering and buying their favorite cinema camera month amid Nikon ZR buzz, and now it’s back with all its glory at the No.1 Position again
- Japan’s Love Affair with Luxury: It shows the buying power of Japanese people and their understanding of quality. Yodobashi shoppers aren’t impulse buyers. In a market where iPhone cameras are stealing the compact and mirrorless camera market share, the X2D’s resurgence highlights a premium push, and finally, people now prefer Real high-quality images rather than upscaled AI images of smartphones.
- Global Ripple Effect? While Hasselblad’s (now DJI) niche is hitting the specific requirement of very limited users (global search volume is modest at ~10K monthly vs. Sony’s millions), this Japanese dominance and sales volume of X2D II could trigger DJI to announce more Mirrorless series similar to the X2D series.

Most of the best-selling cameras, month after entry-level and mid-range models, the Sony α7C II (#2), the Hasselblad crushes dynamic range (15+ stops vs. 14) but trades portability for power. Versus Nikon’s Z5II (#5),
What about you? Would you splurge on medium-format magic, or stick to the Nikon ZR’s cine chops for under $2,200? Drop a comment—best take wins a shoutout!

Well, Nikon usually does this, but this is the first time I have noticed that Canon is updating its older generation of compact cameras. The latest firmware update for the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III and Canon PowerShot SX740 HS actually addresses a long-term user request for enhancing the performance. And obviously, these updates, which have been made to the SX740 and Canon G7 X III are not minor ones. The update is an attempt to make these cameras more relevant in today’s hybrid shooting landscape. If you’re a vlogger, travel photographer, or casual shooter holding onto these gems, this is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for.
So, let’s explore what’s new and what changes have been made with the latest set of firmware updates.
Why These Firmware Updates Matter in 2025
Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III was announced back in 2019, and the Canon SX740 HS camera was announced in 2018, so obviously, they are not new, and more than 6 to 7 years have passed since their announcement. But still, they are very popular, and the demand is so high that they are right now being sold at 2X to 3X more price than their original price, since Canon had stopped manufacturing these compacts a while ago.
But the good thing is that recently Canon has restored the manufacturing of both the compacts, and very soon we will have them in stock at a normal price tag.
And the most interesting part is, despite the old announcement, the G7 X Mark III camera uses a 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor and 4K video recording capabilities with a very user-friendly display screen and built-in microphone input for clear audio. So, it is still one of the best and perfect cameras for content creators who love to have a dedicated compact camera for content creation and are not interested in investing in system cameras. Other than that, we also have the Canon SX740 HS packs a punch with 40x optical zoom and 4K recording in a pocketable body, ideal for travel adventures.
But as battery tech advances, users demand better options. Enter Canon’s latest firmware: support for the NB-15L Battery Pack, a higher-capacity alternative to the standard NB-13L. This isn’t just about longer shoots; it’s about future-proofing these cameras amid rumors of successors like the teased G7 X Mark IV and SX750 HS (as covered on The New Camera).
Breaking Down the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III Firmware Update
Key Changes in Version 1.4.0
- NB-15L Battery Pack Support: The headline feature. Swap in the NB-15L for extended runtime during 4K streams or burst shooting. No more mid-vlog battery swaps—essential for content creators.
- Improved Compatibility: Updating the core software to make it flawless and get connected with Canon’s ecosystem, including updated Camera Connect app features for wireless transfers.
How to Download and Install:
- Head to Canon’s official support page: Firmware Notice – PowerShot G7 X Mark III Version 1.4.0.
- Download the file to your computer’s SD card reader (ensure your card is formatted in-camera).
- Insert the card, power on the camera, and follow the on-screen prompts. Backup your settings first!
For more on why the G7 X Mark III remains a 2025 must-buy, check The New Camera’s back-in-stock guide, highlighting its limited production run and renewed availability.
Canon PowerShot SX740 HS Firmware Update: Zoom into Stability
Key Changes in Version 1.3.4
- NB-15L Battery Pack Support: Like its sibling, the SX740 HS now embraces the higher-capacity battery,
- Enhanced System Stability: Canon fixed minor glitches, flawlessly compatible with the new addition of the app
Installation Tips:
- Download from: Firmware Notice – PowerShot SX740 HS Version 1.4.3.
- Prep your SD card and camera as above. Test the battery swap post-update for peace of mind.
Dive deeper into its enduring appeal with The New Camera’s Amazon stock alert, calling it a “last chance” for this zoom beast before potential successors.
Final Thoughts: Upgrade Your Canon Classics Today
Canon’s firmware updates for PowerShot G7 X Mark III and SX740 HS prove that great cameras only get better with age. The NB-15L support actually extends their lifespan, and the latest updates making them more stable. If you’re eyeing a restock or just dusting off your kit, now’s the time—grab the downloads and hit record.

We have something new coming from Kodak. It’s a tiny compact film camera Snapic A1. Kodak has uploaded the teaser video of the camera on their official social media handles. Question is, will it be just for joy and fun, or will it deliver some serious results like Kodak’s old-school point-and-shoot cameras? However, we have already covered the ultra-popular Kodak Charmera a while ago. The Charmera is a digital camera designed for Gen Z, while the Snapic A1 is essentially a traditional film camera.
The Teaser Breakdown: What We Know So Far
Yes, Kodak is about to announce a compact film camera, and although most of the core specifications are not yet known, as it is about to become official soon, a careful look at the teaser and the camera itself, which is clearly visible – leaves little to the imagination. While examining the teaser, it is clear that the camera features an ultra-compact body reminiscent of the ’90s Kodak pocketable film camera design.
It is very clear from the design: a fixed 25mm three-element glass lens, a clear step up from the plastic optics found in earlier budget models.

After looking at the new lens design and the fixed-focus system with a two-position focus switch—one for general scenes and the other optimised for portraits. This clearly shows Kodak’s dedication towards improving the overall optical performance of their film cameras. And for sure, they are improving the lens part of the camera by adding a fixed prime lens and a toggling focus mode to ensure tack-sharp output, without the fuss of manual adjustments. No more blurry group photos at parties.
Other highlights include:
- Built-in automatic flash for low-light heroics—perfect for those impromptu night shoots.
- Multi-exposure mode that lets you layer shots for dreamy double exposures, adding an artistic edge to your rolls.
- A crisp LCD screen for easy framing and review, bridging the gap between vintage vibes and contemporary convenience.
The sample images of the Kodak A1 camera is visible in the teaser, although it will be too early to comment on the sample images by just looking In the samples, which is obviously not very clearly visible in the teaser, but yes, they look very promising, and if you say, first look analysis, then obviously in the first look, the samples does look crisp in nature with a vibrant colour rendition generally that we see in Kodak Gold 200 film
Although the detailed specification of the Kodak A1 film camera is not out yet, there is some sort of possibility that it may hit half-frame territory (like the Ektar H35 series) for double the shots per roll. As of now, we are waiting for more information, but the design of the camera and the teaser look very promising to us.
No word yet on pricing or release date, but given the Charmera’s sub-$50 street price, expect the Snapic A1 to land in the accessible $40–$60 range, ideal for beginners or as a quirky stocking stuffer this holiday season.

If you are a filmmaker, doin aerial cinematography, or better to say professional working cinematographer or even a farmer using Agras series drones, or an wedding cinematographer, or even as a hobbyist or a content creator in any way — if you are connected to DJI drones, then for sure, the clock is ticking louder than ever, coming close to December 23, 2025. The deadline is literally less than a month
The potential US DJI drone ban under the FY25 National Defence Authorisation Act (NDAA) looms as a game-changer for the $116 billion drone industry. So, we are evaluating every possibility and associated data. We have also analysed here the way in which common citizens and DJI Owners those who love DJI products, can contribute their effort to protect the presence of DJI in the United States of America.
The Latest on the DJI Drone Ban: What’s New Since Our Last Post?
Take a look at the fresh set of updates. We have related to the DJI ban that is coming on December 23, 2025.:
- Deadline Details and Audit Stalemate: So, here we have a situation where the NDAA ( National Defence Authorisation Act ) requires a formal national security audit by agencies like the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or the Department of Defence (DoD) by December 23, 2025. Without it, DJI (and potentially Autel) will be auto-added to the FCC’s “Covered List.” Adding them to the Covered list will mean that, effectively, halting all new sales, imports, firmware updates, and even app functionality in the US (which also means removal of the DJI app from Apple and Google Play Store in the USA). As of today (Nov 23), no audit has been initiated as sources report – despite DJI’s repeated pleas for a “thorough, transparent” review.
- Recent Escalations: On November 21, 2025, DJI (the world’s top drone maker) dropped an urgent public alert via social media and its website, basically saying: “US pilots and users—time’s running out! Tell Congress and agencies NOW to finish the security review before December 23, or we’ll face an automatic ban on new drones and gear. Your jobs, hobbies, and communities depend on it.” This isn’t hype — Obviously, if they miss the audit deadline, then DJI will pay the price as well as those who are actually using the drone, and there will be an automatic ban starting from December 23, adding it to the FCC Covered List, blocking import, sales, and even retroactive approval for recent models like the Mini 5 Pro, which is not officially available in DJI stores in the USA for sale. So finally, no more new drones on sale. Maybe the impact will also occur on the cameras and other related accessories — we have to think of that. Starting from search and rescue operations, farming, Hollywood shoots, as well as backyard fun, approximately 70 to 90% of the drones are powered by DJI. If it gets banned, the alternatives are not available yet.
- Positive Notes for Existing Owners: The good news is that at least the drones we have already purchased in the United States of America are Safe. For at least now no mass confiscations or deactivations of pre-ban drones.
- The FCC has clarified a 30-day public comment period before enforcement, but before they actually start stopping people from using or selling them, they will wait 30 days so everyone (companies, pilots, normal people) can send their opinion and say “please don’t do this” or “yes do this.” and we have shared details how you can save DJI from Dec 23 ban in the later part of the article. The Period will start after December 23, but best to act before.
- A clever move by DJI for US-based Consumers: The DJI’s November 17 geofencing update. Before the update, the geofencing was very strict, and once you reached near a geofence area or no-fly zone—specifically like an airport or restricted area—then the drone’s GPS would get blocked or force a return if you were too close to the restricted area. And specifically, there was no option to fly in the restricted zone. But after the update, there are no more retro or strict locks when you enter those areas. An enhanced warning zone pop-up will appear in the DJI Fly app, saying that “Hey, this is risky. Don’t fly here unless you are sure it’s legal.” So here, after the November 17 update, you will decide whether you should enter and fly in a zone or not. It’s not the geofencing that will decide. By this, DJI is being helpful so even if the December 23 ban appears and if the USA becomes a no-fly zone for drones, a warning will only appear on your screen, and that’s a really helpful thing done by DJI for now for US consumers. Otherwise, the retro lock would prevent all the drones from flying in a restricted space.
These updates underscore the ban’s real-world stakes: not just lost profits, but lives at risk in search-and-rescue ops where DJI dominates 80-95% of public safety fleets.
Why This Matters: Updated Impacts on Filmmakers, Businesses, and Everyday Users
The DJI drone ban 2025 isn’t abstract—it’s a direct hit to your toolkit. Building on our prior analysis:
| Sector |
Key Impacts |
Estimated Cost (2025 Figures) |
| Filmmaking & Content Creation |
Loss of 8K Hasselblad cams, ActiveTrack, and affordable aerials; indie budgets balloon from $2K/drone to $15K+ alternatives. Affects 450K jobs. |
$116B economy-wide |
| Public Safety |
Grounded fleets in 20+ states; Austin PD faces $120K replacements. Delays in firefighting/surveillance could cost lives. |
$200M in Florida alone |
| Agriculture & Inspections |
Crop monitoring halts; US drones cost 2x more. Hits utilities/construction SMBs. |
2/3 of businesses disrupted |
| Hobbyists & Holiday Buyers |
No new Mini 4 Pros or Neos post-ban; existing gear viable but parts-scarce. |
N/A |
Ripple Effect: A potential ban could wipe out up to 460,000 US jobs. Okay, first of all, we have to understand this is not just a hype — it is actually backed by a study done in 2023 by John Dunham and Associates, which is now being updated in recent DJI filings, which actually shows the DJI ecosystem fuels $116 billion in annual US economic activity. So banning the drones will have real ripple effects in the US economy, cutting out a lot of jobs and upscaling the basic aerial shot cost. Not only that, it will also deeply affect automated farming activities and rescue operations.
How US Citizens Can Help DJI: Your Guide to Fighting the Ban
You asked about DJI’s social media pleas—yes, they’ve been vocal on X and beyond, framing the ban as “baseless” and urging collective action. No full prohibition yet, but DJI (via partners) is rallying users. Here’s how you can help prevent the DJI drone ban 2025:
Simple Steps: How to prevent DJI from getting banned
Right now there’s still time to stop the DJI ban.
Go to this link → https://droneadvocacyalliance.com/take-action/
-
- Type your name and zip code (30 seconds)
- Click “send” (the letter is already written for you)

DJI Avata 360 fans, those who are eagerly waiting for the drone announcement — now we have recently got a massive green light for the December announcement. Here at thenewcamera.com, we have been closely following the DJI 360 December 2025 announcement for weeks. Additionally, we have recently published the FCC certificate, which was leaked here, as well as the core specifications of the drone. These have also been covered alongside the recent product shots, and even before all this, we were covering the Avata 360 leaks for a long time. Now we are getting backed up by a rock-solid confirmation, which is coming directly from Jasper Ellens, the drone whisperer, and DroneXL.
Take a look DJI Avata 360 announcement confirmation that we are getting from the highly trusted source, Jasper.

DJI Avata 360 December 2025 Announcement
We have already published it twice on our website that the DJi aVATA 360 announcement is about to happen on December 2025, now in the Jasper Ellens ‘ recent November Post 11 X post, hyping the rename from “Avata 3” to DJI Avata 360 and teasing “this Christmas” quality that buries rivals like the Insta360 Antigravity.
So what does this tweet? Does it completely echo? What we have said in one of our previous posts, they have 360 coming out in December 2025
Echoing our FCC timeline breakdowns, he links straight to DroneXL’s exclusive promo pics, underscoring a holiday push that’s “very promising” for normal-drone versatility. DroneXL doubles down with visuals showing the Avata 360 as “The One 360 Drone That Can Do It All” – a nod to its hybrid FPV/360° chops we’ve previewed. No vague teases here: This aligns with June’s codename filings (“WMG”) and screams mid-December unveil to hit shelves by New Year’s. For DJI Avata 360 updates, it’s game on – pre-orders could launch December 1, bundled with Goggles N3 or Motion 3 for that immersive edge.

Exclusive Angle: How These Confirmations Amp Up DJI Avata 360’s Edge Over Rivals
Take a look at the specifications that we have already posted on the website before. It clearly states that the upcoming 360 can capture 8K videos and has a speed of 27 m/s. Sources suggest the Avata 360 uses the same 1/1.1 sensor modules as of OSM 360.
- Tracking That Tracks You Back: It is very clear from the promo shot that the drone has AI tracking, which locks not only on people but also on speeding objects like cyclists and cars, enabling a complete 360 view of the runner/object that can be recomposed later.
- Sensor Symphony Upgraded: Front-loaded with four visual + LiDAR eyes for depth mastery, sides and rear for full-circles. The drone has been designed for carsh proof flight.
- Transmission Tease: OcuSync 4.0 confirmed and yes they are working on Goggles 4 but its not coming with Avta 360. Holiday bundles?

If you’re a content creator and love to add a drone to your gear group without breaking the bank, then the DJI Neo Black Friday deal is the best time you get a drone that will help you elevate your content creation to the next level. Now, the drone costs only $159 during the sale, and obviously, it is one of the best options available under $200 as of now. But again, you can get it at an even lower price when you apply some of the available offers active at Amazon.com, which are explained below in the article, so let’s explore them below.
Why the DJI Neo is Your Black Friday Must-Have Drone Under $200
The drone market is now flooded with options, with a lot of low-profile drone gear available at a low price. The DJI Neo drone stands out as the best under $200 for 2025. It’s sweet. Weighing under 250g, it easily skips FAA registration headaches while delivering pro-level features and performance like palm takeoff and AI subject tracking. As I have said, it is one of the best choices for beginner social media content creators, as it is going to track you automatically without any effort or additional controller, and later on, you can easily download your footage to your PC or laptop for editing.
Key Features of the DJI Neo: Power-Packed Performance for Under $200
It’s time to explore the specifications of the DJI Neo drone. Despite being an entry-level drone, it features the ability to capture 4K Ultra HD videos @ 30 FPS and 12-megapixel still images. Over the top of that, the AI tracking of this drone is exceptionally good and tracks you wherever you go like your professional cinematographer. The only limitation we have with this drone is the limited battery life of 18 minutes, so that’s something you have to take care of. But overall, for this price point, the specifications that we are getting in the Neo are far better than the other entry-level options available from other Chinese drone makers.
- 4K UHD Camera with EIS Stabilisation: Capture buttery-smooth videos at 4K/30fps or crisp 12MP photos. RockSteady tech keeps footage gimbal-free, ideal for action vlogs or scenic Black Friday adventures.
- Intelligent Flight Modes: QuickShots, Follow Me, and Helix orbits automate epic shots. Palm launch and return make it beginner-friendly – launch from your hand and watch it hover like magic.
- 18-Minute Flight Time & 10km Range: Zip up to 16m/s with obstacle avoidance, covering vast distances on a single charge. At 135g, it’s ultra-portable for travel or urban exploration.
- App Integration & FPV Goggles Ready: Pair with the DJI Fly app for live editing, or level up with optional goggles for immersive first-person views.
