Press Release
DJI Avata 360 Sets New Standards for Immersive 360 FPV Flying
Equipped with DJI’s flagship 1-inch imaging, O4+ video transmission, and omnidirectional obstacle sensing, creators can now film 360 footage in 8K with ease while flying with confidence
March 26, 2026 – DJI, the global leader in civilian drones and creative camera technology, today launches the Avata 360. Designed to unlock endless creativity in one take1, DJI’s new 8K 360° flagship drone delivers 360° imaging with 1-inch-equivalent sensors1 for filming in 8K/60fps HDR video. Meanwhile, DJI’s powerful O4+ video transmission system and obstacle sensing1 enable creators to see farther with a more stable, safer, and more immersive flight experience. Paired with DJI goggles and motion controllers, the latest addition to the popular Avata series delivers an immersive 360° flight experience for FPV thrills. Creators can also use the DJI remote controllers to capture a full 360° view in a single flight that can be reframed from any perspective, transforming a single take into multiple creative possibilities.
Brilliant Imaging, Boundless Creativity
Avata 360 offers two different lenses that can be seamlessly switched. The 360° lens uses 1-inch-equivalent sensors1 that can capture 360° images in rich detail for 8K/60fps HDR videos1 and 120 MP photos. With the large 2.4 μm pixels and high dynamic range, light and shadow are also captured with exquisite clarity. Both video and photos can be exported directly or reframed in post-production. Meanwhile, the Single Lens mode allows creators to use the classic Avata-style filming in 4K/60fps1.
Powerful Video Transmission, Immersive Flight
Avata 360 leverages DJI’s flagship O4+ video transmission system to deliver stable and clear live feeds for smoother, more immersive flights. Its strong anti-interference capabilities enable high-definition, high-frame-rate transmission at 1080p/60fps and support a range of up to 20 km1.
Fly With Confidence, Create With Ease
Avata 360 offers up to 23 minutes of flight time1 and includes several standard safety features, including nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing1 and integrated propeller guards. If damaged, the camera lens can be easily replaced with the DJI Avata 360 replacement lens kit with tools (sold separately). It also brings an exceptional experience to aerial content creation, where a single shot with the drone’s 360° imaging can be transformed into multiple, masterful creations through post production using the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps, including:
Spotlight Free1 – Locks onto a moving subject and assists with camera movement, replicating the sophisticated camera language like a pro with Inspire 3. By comparison, Spotlight locks onto your subject’s face to effortlessly capture Circle or Dronie shots without manual adjustments.
ActiveTrack 360°1 – Automatically selects the optimal tracking mode. For example, Standard mode maintains a steady distance and altitude relative to the subject. Meanwhile, Cycling mode reacts faster to turns and keeps the subject in frame even in complex environments.
FPV mode – Enables even novice pilots to adds a natural roll effect to Spotlight Free, ActiveTrack 360°, and manual flights to create dynamic, high-speed FPV-style footage. This mode can be applied in post-production.
Intelligent Tracking – Powered by advanced algorithms, the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps make it effortless to lock onto and smoothly track people, vehicles, pets, and more, even in 360° footage.
New One-Tap In-App Editing – With GyroFrame, 360° footage can be adjusted to an ideal angle and exported in the DJI Fly app. Both DJI Fly and DJI Studio allow camera movement effects to be added.
Virtual Gimbal1 – Uses a 360° view to enable infinite rotation and tilt for dynamic camera moves. Even when flying in one direction, horizons can be rotated, and perspectives can be shifted to look back or perform a flip.
Replaceable Front Lens Element – The front element features a replaceable design. Purchase a replacement lens kit with tools1, and you can easily replace the old lens yourself—no need to send it in for repair.
42GB Internal Storage and High-Speed Transfers – With 42GB of internal storage, 30 minutes of 360° video in 8K without a microSD card. Using Wi-Fi 6 High-Speed Transfer, 1 GB of footage can be transferred to the DJI Fly app in 10 seconds at up to 100 MB/s1.
FPV Flights and Aerial Filming in One Drone
Avata 360 combines the creative freedom of a 360 camera with the thrill of FPV flying like never before. It can be flown with the DJI remote controllers (RC 2, RC-N2, RC-N3) for precise camera movement, allowing creators to unlock new ways to create stunning aerial shots. Meanwhile, DJI goggles and motion controllers offer a more immersive flight experience with 360° imaging at 1080p/60fps. Like the Avata 2, aerial acrobatics like drifting can be performed – even by beginners – with the DJI RC Motion 3.

Well, this is really on top of the rest of the leaks that we have published recently, better to say kind of a breakthrough news that we have spotted – DJI has just uploaded a striking new promotional banner for the DJI Avata 360 directly on its official Amazon US storefront. Confirmation from the DJI itself. The banner confirms the product name, the “8K Flagship 360° Drone” positioning, and the bold tagline “Above It All, See It All.” This is the clearest visual proof yet for US buyers — the banner is live right now on the official DJI store page on Amazon.com. The release date is on March 26, 2026. Now waiting to get more confirmation about the shipping date of the upcoming drone
Below we have the price comparison. If you have missed our previous post comparing it to the Antigravity price with Avata360, even before that, take a look at the first hands-on report and reviews that have popped up for the Avata 360, which are very exciting, as well as a revolutionary upgrade over the drone while using it for the first time..
This is the most unique part of the entire drone. Of course, it has a full 360 camera, but how does it actually shoot 360° when one lens is facing you? The second camera is on the opposite side.
What I loved most: the camera actually rotates during takeoff and landing. It spins from the 360 position so the top camera moves to the bottom and vice versa. There are little protective feet/pads at the bottom, so when you land, you’re never touching the lens itself. It sits perfectly protected. You can read the first review here of the Avata 360
Prices are based on current official Antigravity bundles (USD) and leaked European Avata 360 figures converted at ~1 EUR ≈ 1.15 USD (mid-March 2026 rates). US pricing for Avata 360 may adjust slightly at launch, but is expected to align closely or be even more competitive.
The DJI Avata 360 comparison that we have done clearly shows that the core specifications [core specs comparison at this page] that we are getting inside the 360 drone are far better than what we have in the Antigravity. Even though detailed comparison videos will be uploaded once the drone becomes official, if you compare and look at the pricing that we have for now, you can clearly see that the Avata 360 is going to cost you a lot compared to the A1. Other than that, we have a dual operational mode — one is the FPV style, and the other is the regular 360 drone, so technically the 360 is more advanced, and the pricing is low.
Why the DJI Avata 360 Matters for US Drone Pilots
This is DJI’s first true hybrid FPV + 360° spherical drone. It combines the immersive flight experience of the Avata series with full 360° capture
This drone gives you one of the widest ranges in terms of dynamic experience, where you can capture in 360° and recompose it later as per your own convenience. Other than that, as a standalone system, the tight shooting experience that you get with this drone is something that is kind of unforgettable with a portable 360 drone, this could be the most versatile drone DJI has ever released under 250 g–500 g class regulations.
Stay tuned — we will update this article once the second pre-order links and full specifications drop on March 30.

DJI has officially confirmed that the DJI Avata 360 will launch on March 26, 2026, at 12 PM GMT. The new community leak suggests that the global shipping of the drone will be delayed beyond the announcement. Earlier, it was said that shipping will start in the first week of April, and at the same time, it will also be available in the United States of America. But recently, according to an Italian user and creator, who is also a DJI expert — according to Mauro Tandoi (@MauroTandoi on X), who shared a clear screenshot from the upcoming drone’s FPV interface (credit: YouTube channel losvideosdefelix), sales outside China may be postponed until after the third week of April — possibly starting around April 24, 2026.
DJI has officially confirmed the DJI Avata 360 launch date: March 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM GMT (8:00 AM EDT / 5:30 PM IST). US drone pilots are excited, but a new community leak suggests global shipping to the USA will be delayed slightly beyond the announcement.
Here’s exactly what US buyers need to know right now.
DJI Avata 360 Launch vs. USA Shipping Date – The Breakdown
Official Global Launch Event: March 26, 2026 (confirmed by DJI on Instagram, Facebook, and their website)
China Sales Start: Expected immediately after the live stream (typical DJI pattern)
USA & Global Shipping: Early-to-mid April 2026 is still the most common rumor, but the latest X leak points to a possible slip to late April (around April 24).
One thing that I would like to add is that the DJI Avata 360 drone is already approved, and you don’t have to worry at all. If you are receiving some delayed news about the shipment of the drone to global regions, specifically related to the United States of America, then there is no need to worry, since it is FCC-approved. It will appear sooner or later in the market, and most probably it’s not too late — it will appear at the end of April 2026. You can pre-order online so you will be prioritised on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once again, let’s have a look at the pricing of the upcoming drone.
Exact prices and bundles will be revealed during the March 26 live event. Watch DJI’s YouTube channel or Instagram for the stream.

So finally, we have clear information on what the two different models of the DJI Avata 360 drone are coming, and what the major differences between these drones are in terms of new connectivity features. We are going to explain this in our article, but before that, keep in mind that the DJI Avata 360 announcement is very near, on March 26, 2026 (8 PM Beijing Time / 12 PM GMT / 8 AM EDT). It will launch in China, and next month, in the first week of April, the global rollout will occur.
For now, we have screenshots of two pre-approved DJI Avata 360 drones by Chinese regulatory authorities, and according to them, one is the traditional operative drone, which is obviously meant for the global rollout. The other features enhanced connectivity specifically for the Chinese market, and neither of these drones is under 250 g.
Why DJI Made a China-Only 4G Version of the Avata 360
We all know that the DJI Avata 360 does have limited battery life, which can max out at about 20 minutes of flight time. So, enabling 4G connectivity in a drone that only has around 20 minutes of flight time looks quite unreasonable, since why would the manufacturer include 4G network connectivity for a longer, stronger connection when the drone may not have enough power to return? Other than that, 4G transmission will also consume battery power while in use.
The most important part here is to understand that DJI wants to enhance the overall user experience, and by adding additional 4G connectivity, they improve user experience with more precise control during flight while transmitting higher-quality 4K video on the move without any breaks or lag. Despite fast movements or rotations, this specific model has been designed for China ONLY
Mainland China’s strict urban flying regulations and dense signal environments make built-in cellular redundancy extremely valuable. The integrated 4G LTE module (not an external dongle) automatically switches to “增强图传” (Enhanced Video Transmission) when OcuSync drops — exactly as described in official Chinese filings.
This mirrors DJI’s approach on select Mavic and Mini Enterprise models, but it’s now built directly into a consumer FPV cinewhoop for the first time. Outside China, the module is deliberately disabled for regulatory and licensing reasons — identical to the Mavic 4 Pro cellular dongle behaviour at launch.
Italian testers who received early DVN3XT samples confirm: the 4G icon appears in the DJI app, but activation fails with a “not enabled for my region” error. Firmware workarounds are quickly patched.
DJI Avata 360 Specs: What Both Versions Share
Both the standard and China-only models deliver identical core performance:
Dual 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors for true 8K 360° spherical video

Key fact for US pilots: You will only receive the DVN3NT model. The DVN3XT never received FCC certification and is blocked by DJI’s December 22, 2025 Covered List addition.
Will the 4G Version Ever Work in the United States?
Short answer: No.
No FCC ID exists for the DVN3XT.
DJI’s US import rules (Covered List) prevent new cellular drone approvals.
Even if imported from China, it requires Chinese DJI servers and stays permanently locked.
US buyers get the pure DVN3NT with class-leading OcuSync 4 — more than enough for 99% of FPV and cinematic flying.
Official Launch Event: March 26, 2026 (live stream on DJI channels)
Pre-orders: Open immediately after the stream on DJI.com and Amazon.com and authorized US retailers
Shipping: Early-to-mid April 2026 (most reports point to April 9 global availability)
Expected US Pricing (based on European leaks and US retailer pages):
Drone-only: ~$499
Fly More Combo (drone + extra batteries + case): ~$999
Full Goggles N3 Combo: ~$1,199–$1,299
Note: The Avata 360 is one of the last new DJI models to clear US regulations before stricter rules took effect — it remains fully legal to buy and fly in America.
Should US Drone Pilots Care About the 4G Version?
Honestly? Not at all. The standard DVN3NT already offers an outstanding range and reliability.
If it’s only limited to China, then for sure we do not have that much use of that drone in the United States of America. So, we have to put our focus on the upcoming DJI Avata 360 Standard Edition, which obviously has a lot more to offer compared to competitors like Antigravity A1, including a 360° view as well as a normal FPV mode in a budget range.
So technically, despite the absence of 4G, the DJI Avata 360 still has a lot to offer in the United States of America. Although if the ban were not there, for sure we would enjoy the 4G version of the drone in the United States of America too.
We cross-verified every detail using official DJI teasers, CAAC/UOM Chinese registry data, news reports, FCC filings, and reports from Italian pre-release testers. Everything checks out 100%. Here’s the definitive US-focused guide.
The article “DJI Avata 360 4G Version: Why It’s China-Only and Won’t Launch in the USA” was written by thenewcamera.com team on 3:55 pm, Wednesday, 18 March 2026, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) | You can also follow us on Our Official Social Media HandlesFACEBOOK | TWITTER | INSTAGRAM> get live news — > DJI Rumors
DJI Avata 360 is about to become official, and the price is very clear to us thanks to leaks from European retailers. The authentic price sheet just before the announcement has been made available to us by one of the most trusted and authentic sources, Jasper Ellens. Also, we may have a $10 to $15 price difference in the final pricing due to changes in currency values, since they do not always remain the same. And we calculated the price of the Avata 360 kit from the European retailer price list.
Here we are comparing the price of the DJI Avata 360 with the Insta360 Antigravity A1 drone. Now, just after the official announcement of the Antigravity A1, it is not as popular among users as it was hyped up before the announcement. There may be two reasons behind that. The first and foremost is the price, which we are going to compare against the Avata 360, and you will have a clear idea of the difference you have to pay for choosing the Antigravity A1.
Other than that, the biggest factor is the limitation of 360-degree view capture. Yes, it may sound exciting for some users that they are able to capture a full 360-degree view, but some users still prefer to have FPV-style shooting, or they simply want to use the normal front camera. In that case, the 360 video workflow can become a problem for them, since they have to process it, capture the frame, recompose it, and handle the entire editing process.
Why the 360° Drone Battle Matters in 2026
Traditional FPV drones like the DJI Avata 2 excel in agile flight, but 360° models add full-sphere capture for VR. The best part is the new Avata 360 can do both with its rotating gimbal; it can shoot traditional as well as 360 style shooting. Technically, you get true creative freedom with Avata 360. The Antigravity A1 (launched late 2025) pioneered the category with its ultra-light 249g design and Insta360 integration. Now, DJI enters with ecosystem advantages, replaceable lenses, and aggressive pricing.
Yes, we will be doing specification comparison, as well as price comparison, altogether
Bottom line on pricing: Even DJI’s top Premium Combo (~$1,333) costs less than Antigravity’s entry-level Standard Bundle ($1,599). Accessories tell the same story – DJI batteries at ~$91 vs. higher Antigravity extras, and prop sets at just $10.

Who Should Buy Which in the US?
Choose DJI Avata 360 if budget, ecosystem compatibility, or value is your priority. At roughly half the cost for similar bundles, it’s a game-changer for hobbyists, YouTubers, and pros upgrading without breaking the bank.
Choose Antigravity A1 if you need the lightest 360 drone, unique Insta360 editing tools, or don’t mind paying extra for innovation. It’s positioned as luxury, but recent discounts (sometimes 15% off) narrow the gap slightly.
With the DJI Avata 360 launch just days away (March 26, 2026), expect pre-order buzz and potential little bit US pricing tweaks. The price difference makes DJI the clear value leader in the 2026 360° drone race.

The article “DJI Avata 360 vs Insta360 Antigravity A1: Massive Price Difference in 2026 – Which 360° FPV Drone Wins on Value?” was written on 6:48 am, Monday, 16 March 2026,Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
We have the first review of the DJI Avata 360, and this review has been posted before its official announcement. It seems unique and unusual. But yes, we do have the review, so we are sharing some of the important parts of the review here at thenewcamera.com, so you can have an early glimpse of the DJI Avata 360 drone. What did he like and what didn’t he like about the drone?
Design of the DJI Avata 360 – Size, Shape & Comparisons
As you can see when placing it next to the DJI Avata 2, the DJI Avata 360 is a little bit bigger but noticeably slimmer. The Avata 2 sticks up a lot taller, while the Avata 360 has that bigger front bump because of the new 360 camera.
Compared to the original Avata 1, this one is definitely larger, but the Avata 1 was a screamer — super loud — and its battery sat up much taller.
One of the most fun combos I tried? The DJI Avata 360 is paired with the Neo 2. It just looks and feels like a perfect match.
The Revolutionary 360 Camera System on the DJI Avata 360
This is the most unique part of the entire drone. Of course, it has a full 360 camera, but how does it actually shoot 360° when one lens is facing you? The second camera is on the opposite side.
What I loved most: the camera actually rotates during takeoff and landing. It spins from the 360 position so the top camera moves to the bottom and vice versa. There are little protective feet/pads at the bottom, so when you land, you’re never touching the lens itself. It sits perfectly protected.
I really like how compact DJI made the entire camera system is at the front. And yes — full propeller guards all the way around, just like the other Avata models.
Replaceable Lenses – A Huge Upgrade on the DJI Avata 360
Next thing I pulled out of the bag that made me extremely happy: replaceable lenses for the Avata 360. Something every creator wished we had on the Osmo 360. DJI listened — if you crash and scratch the top or bottom lens, you can now simply replace them. Huge win for the DJI Avata 360.
Flying the DJI Avata 360 in Snow & Rain – Weather Confidence
On the second day, we headed out for real flying… and it was snowing and raining heavily all morning. The crazy part? DJI didn’t hesitate at all. They had zero worries about us flying the DJI Avata 360 in the snow or rain.
Of course, the footage wasn’t clear because rain and snow were hitting the lenses, but the fact that DJI trusted the drone so much in those conditions instantly built confidence for all of us. It’s not waterproof or submersible, but their relaxed attitude told us everything we needed to know.
How We Piloted the DJI Avata 360
They gave us the DJI RC 2 controller, and everyone loved it — finally, a standard remote with a built-in screen so you can fly the way you’re used to with other drones.
You can also fly the DJI Avata 360 with:
DJI N3 goggles
RC 3 controllers
Motion Controller 3 (for that immersive FPV experience)
After the first few flights, one thing stood out immediately: the DJI transmission is rock solid — exactly what separates DJI from everyone else. People were pushing the DJI Avata 360 above dense forests, in snow and rain, and the connection never wavered.
When I was down to my last battery and a half, I just did some free flying. The smoothness, the flight characteristics, the overall dynamics — everything feels exactly like you expect from a DJI Avata. Super predictable and confidence-inspiring.
Editing Footage from the DJI Avata 360
Editing is super simple using the same DJI 360 Studio app you already know from the Osmo 360. Just use AI tracking or keyframe options, choose your angles and positions, and export. Easy.
My Honest First Impressions of the DJI Avata 360
Flight-experience-wise, my first impressions are very positive. It just works exactly like you expect a premium DJI drone to work. The transmission in tough weather impressed me the most, and the rotating 360 camera system is genuinely cool.
I’ve now flown the DJI Avata 360 for several weeks here in sunny California too, and the image quality is outstanding. Full specs breakdown, side-by-side comparisons with the Avata 2, Avata 1, and Neo 2 are coming in the full review very soon.
This was the first part of the review – a more intense review on its way and posted later this month

DJI Avata 360 USA Price 2026: Know How Much It Will Cost You in Dollars
The DJI Avata 360 price list has been leaked by a European retailer. We have converted it into US currency very carefully by keeping all the possible values like tax and other stuff that we have to add in a bundle and final pricing, which is still approximate that you have to pay, and has been mentioned below. So if you’re in the United States of America, this would be the round figure of the pricing of the DJI Avata 360 drone.
Plus: Before writing this, we double-checked the current DJI Products pricing in both Europe and the USA, so you have the full picture before the official launch on March 26.
DJI Avata 360 Full Price List – Europe to USA Dollars
