Translated text from patent Description: To provide a single-lens reflex camera having a half-mirror configuration capable of performing image-plane AF, which offers a reduced release time lag by capturing an image without performing AF after mirror-up.SOLUTION: An image capturing device comprises an image capturing optical system, a matte screen on which an image from the image capturing optical system is formed, viewfinder means, an image sensor on which the image from the image capturing optical system is formed, focus detection means included in the image sensor, and a half-mirror. The focus detection means is configured to detect focus with the mirror down by performing ranging with a focus offset corresponding to a thickness of the half-mirror so that light is focused on the image sensor when the mirror is up.
Pellicle Mirror – Back in 1989 Canon introduced first consumer SLR camera Canon EOS RT with Pellicle Mirror, actually the Pellicle mirrors based camera offers some of the advantages over the traditional SLR / DSLR camera, since When you DSLR (Canon, Nikon, Pentax) mirror flips up when you press the shutter button, it allow the light to pass through it to the sensor / flim of the camera, but the biggest problem of the moving mirror that it creates vibration, produces noise, creates a viewfinder blackout for a fraction of second and also limits the Camera burst speed capability.
A Pellicle mirror is actually a translucent film that will remain in fixed place at middle and always reflects some of the light up to the viewfinder and AF sensor, rest of the reaming light goes to the film / sensor.

Canon 6D is latest Canon entry level Fullframe DSLR that features a newly developed 26Mp DPAF sensor. We have compared some high ISO samples of Canon 6D Mark II images and we have impressed with the image quality of the camera.
ISO of both the camera is set @ 25600 and we are comparing here standard JPEG image of both the camera.

The comparison is based on user request. In between Canon 6D Mark II and Canon 80D we can clearly see that Canon 6D Mark II is fetching more details compared to Canon 80D camera.

According to latest rumors Canon will going to announce C500 successor anytime soon. The name of the camera will be called Canon C500 Mark II, the specification of the camera is not known yet but will do expect a major specification upgrade in the upcoming camera.
Canon C500 camera is discontinued and no longer available for purchase in online or retail outlets.
One of the most important point to notice is Canon C500 camera was having a 10 Megapixel full frame sensor with dual pixel CMOS autofocusing system, the camera was able to record 4K videos at 60 frames per second. so at the moment we do expect that the successor of Canon C500 camera will able to record higher resolution video and will also offer more frame rates compared to its predecessor.
At the end, it is quite logical to expect 6k video mode and 4K at 120 FPS in the upcoming Canon C500 mark 2 camera but that is our expectation and not information

According to latest rumors canon will going to announce a new entry level mirrorless camera at the end of august 2017 (we have told you). the camera will be successor of popular Canon EOS M10 camera and it is also true that the camera may carry 24 MP dual pixel CMOS auto-focusing sensor. The name of the camera isn’t know yet, what we do expect that the camera would be called Canon EOS M.20.
Although the upcoming Olympus entry level mirrorless camera is rumored to carry 4K capability We don’t expect at the moment that upcoming EOS M20 will going to have a 4K video mode inside it.

 Canon 7D Mark II and Canon 90D creative pic According to latest rumors Canon 7D Mark III camera will arrive on arrive Q2 of 2018 with improved video specification (including 4K). Canon 7D Mark II was announced on Photokina 2014 with a decent core specification that can impress any still shooter, but the video was limited to Full HD mode only which was a big disappointment among those who create films and shoot videos. Being limited to Full HD mode is obliviously a big lag for a $1.5K professional APS-C camera, Since other professional APS-C sensor based systems like Nikon D500 and Sony A6xxx do offer 4K video to users.
The news isn’t limited to Canon 7D Mark II successor only, Canon 80D successor Canon 90D likely to be arrive at CP+ trade show in February. Specification of the Canon 90D camera isn’t Known yet, According to tipster of rumor mill Canon 90D will arrive before Canon 7D Mark III.
