We have told you that Sony next major announcement is on 18 Oct, 2017. Now according to latest rumors surfaced over the web Sony is rumored to announce Sony A7S Mark III OR They will extend the Sony A9 series camera with a New “Sensitivity” version, that is Sony A9S. The camera is rumored to features excellent core specification, its video specs will literally kill the Panasonic GH5 camera.
If this rumor is true then Why Sony is ignoring A7II update is a big question, may be Sony wants A7II (Full HD) user to get the Sony A9 camera. BTW, We have received information in past that trim-down version of Sony A9 is coming under A7III name with affordable price tag, still the announcement time of the camera not confirmed yet.

On October 18, 2017 (during NAB show) Sony is holding a Media in action event, and we are expecting some big announcements from Sony.
No one knows what exactly coming ?
Before announcement of any products we get lots of leak that include pictures, specs of the upcoming camera. But if you look at the Sony RX10 IV announcement, it was a complete surprise and no one including the rumor mills knows what exactly coming next. What will happen next ?

Sony A7III and Sony A7S III are due for an update. If we look at the video section then Sony FS5 Mark II is also on list of upcoming pro camcorders. Sony compact camera Sony RX100 VI is also expected to arrive soon. Now take a look what actually on the announcement pipeline.

In an interview with Photolari Sony engineers and managers confirmed that they do have all the capability required to build a mirrorless medium format camera
It has been ruled out the possibility of launch a medium format camera. At least for now.
And is that the spokespersons of the company have ensured that they have the necessary technology and components and that, if they decide to bet on this market, they could produce a medium format camera.
Yes they do have all the capability but they are putting attention of Sony A7/A9 series cameras. BTW, the image quality of Sony Fullframe sensors aren’t too behind from Medium Format cameras. Take a look at Sony A7R II and 645Z comparison

Sony patent three different multilayer stacked CMOS sensor. They are testing different models of sensor with organic material and silicon. And the last sensor design somehow look similar to Foveon sensors, it composed of colored filters including organic and silicon layers. Take a look at the images and details below

We’re already hearing the first rumors about Sony’s next ultra compact 1″ RX100 VI camera. Based on information coming from Nomen Nescio, the RX100 VI Become Available Right Before Christmas of 2017. So we can expect it’s announcement upcoming month(s). No details about the specification is available now, we will update you soon as we get any new information.

Sony announced new firmware update for its flagship mirrorless camera Sony A9. this is firmware update improves the overall image quality as well as the stability of the entire camera.
List of improvements coming with this firmware update is mentioned below
- Supports “Eye AF” function for A-mount lenses via the LA-EA3 mount adapter *1
- Fixes an issue where RAW files may disappear when SDXC or microSDXC memory cards are used in certain smartphones *2

The information we have till now is Sony A7III announcement is next. We also have the Codename of the unannounced camera – WW 940439. As the information we have received a while ago the upcoming camera will be a mini version of Sony A9 camera having the same sensor as of Sony A9.
Now rumor mills also suggest a surprise announcement is also due. We don’t know at its a Compact or Mirrorless but keep in mind that other then A7III camera is also coming.
