It’s look like Canon is fully per-pared to announce the firmware update of its flagship Canon 1DX camera. It’s a fact and not a rumor since according to a Canon 1DX user and dforum.net forum member PSNet he found firmware 2.0.8 installed on his camera after coming back from Canon professional service. However the user didn’t discuss about improvements included in the latest version of the firmware update.
We have to keep in mind that after a major firmware update of Canon 7D [see our post published, on June 28th, 2012] camera Canon took almost two years to announce Canon 7D Mark II camera.
Will the upcoming firmware update can delay the announcement date of Canon 1DX Mark II camera ?
However at this moment I don’t expect the upcoming firmware will bring any major changes in the core specification of the camera and it will only fix minor bugs related to new / wide angle lenses. Hence you don’t have to worry about the delay of Canon 1DX Mark II camera, it will arrive before Q1 of 2016.

 Some good news, the long rumored Olympus E-M10 is finally coming on End of August 2015. The camera will get a little upgrade over the core specification of current E-M10 camera. We have published the leaked images of the upcoming camera as well as expected core specification few weeks ago.
The upcoming Olympus E-M10 camera will feature Mechanical as well as electronic shutter, in-short the camera will use Hybrid shutter technology that will sure boost its current shutter range [60 – 1/4000 ] to a next level [expected – 60 – 1/16000]. However the camera video recording capability will remain limited to Full HD mode.

As we know Rokinon announced three latest cinema lenses like Xeen 24mm T1.5, Xeen 50mm T1.5 and Xeen 85mm T1.5 on 10th August, 2015 and it is already available for the users through pre-orders (see B&H).
Now we have the latest information via Dicahub that the company has decided to announce the three more Xeen lenses including ultra-wide prime lens: -14mm or 16mm, a 35mm wide-angle prime lens, and a telephoto prime lens: 100mm or 135mm in the early of 2016 , to complete the series for a film professional cine lens set.
As we know XEEN lens has applied a special type of X-Coating technology to produce a superior quality of the Samyang Optics for high-pixels and also it has the experience of shooting infinity. So the upcoming lenses from XEEN will definitely impressive and magnificent.

 The big question is why Sony isn’t’ putting any attention towards the development of its fullframe compact camera line-up – “the RX series”. The first RX series camera was announced on Sep 12, 2012 and after less than year of gap Sony announced it’s new RX1R camera on June 2013 having same core specification as of Sony RX1 camera. The only major difference between the both was the absence of low-pass filter inside Sony RX1R camera.
It’s almost 2 years, 2 months, and 17 days passed after the announcement of RX1R series camera and no update arrived till now. The worst part of the game is Sony even didn’t announced any single firmware update of Sony RX1 or RX1R.
Sony RX1 camera user Benjamin Gutheil from Germany added a petition for a Sony RX1 / RX1R firmware update on change.org.
