Fujifilm X-Trans sensors and innovative camera design created a new sensation in the digital camera world, but after the announcement of X-T1 we haven’t seen any innovative product yet…. take a look at the chart below
As you can see from the chart that the 1st generation X-Trans used on X-Pro1, X-E1, X-M1 and the second generation of X-Trans II sensors are used in X100S, X-E2, X-T1, and X100T.
As you can see from 2012 to 2014 Fuji only introduced two type of X-Trans CMOS sensor (I & II), the first generation of X-Trans CMOS sensor life was only 1 year and after that Fuji introduced X-Trans II sensor and it’s almost two years passed and we haven’t seen any sign of X-Trans III sensor yet. The update of models like X-E2 and X-Pro 1 is overdue and Fuji users are waiting and waiting.
Due to the lack of new sensor technology (and a bit frustration) Finally Fuji did a little experiment, they announced a new X100T model having the same sensor as of it’s predecessor (X100S) by having negligible difference in core specification, you can also see the comparison here, as a result the X100T sales report was not satisfactory and finally Fuji decided to not to repeat the same mistake again.
Finally if we look at rumors Fuji is expected to announce a new X-Pro 2 camera along with new generation of X-Trans III sensor in Q1 of 2015..what I see is now Fuji need to work fast to introduce 3rd generation of X-Trans sensor in the market to restore his users and gain market share.
+ Also see – As we all know that Fujiflim is also working on organic sensor but it is still on development stage and not ready for use (see the news here),

Take a look at the Fuji X100T high ISO test with different popular cameras, the Fuji X100T sensor is however not new and it is same as of X100S sensor, take a look at the High ISO test below and share your thoughts with us
Fujifilm X100T vs Rich GR, the X100T is showing bit realistic colors and bit more detail compared to the Rich GR.
No difference, As we have already said that there is no difference in the sensor of current X100S and X100T, hence the image quality is almost same.
The X100T is showing more details compared to Nikon coolpix A camera, the X-Trans doesn’t have low have pass filter so it produces more details and and less color noise compared to Coolpix A.
And finally the Lx100 vs Fujifilm X100T, the LX100 showing almost flat image at ISO 6400 when compared to the Fuji X100T Camera.
The Fuji x100T is a excellent camera if you are looking for a professional compact camera with large sensor.

We already published a ton of articles related to organic sensor, earlier also have published the post that Fujifilm and Panasonic New Organic Sensor Coming on 2014, but we doesn’t seen any signs or organic sensor based camera rumors yet, according to fujirumor trusted sources the organic sensor of based cameras delayed due to following problems
- Current organic sensor need too much power / Drains battery too fast
- Available Image processors in industry are not fit for processing data out from Organic sensor
- Heat generation is also one of the biggest issue of Organic sensor
Now also take a look at the advantages of Organic sensor,
- Dynamic range of 88dB
- The sensor is ultra slim, only 1/6 thickness of current sensors
- Increased Dynamic range of 88dB
- 1,2 times more sensible
- More range, incident angles of 60 degrees
Still we don’t have any information about announcement date of the of the organic sensor based camera.
