Canon 1DX Mark II and Canon 5DX to Feature Digic 7 Image Processor

Canon-5D-Mark-IV-imageWe are not confirmed but thanks to Anonymous Remailer (austria) for informing us, According to a forum post published in dpreview forum the upcoming Canon 5DX and Canon 1DX Mark II camera will feature new DIGIC 7 image processor. Take a look at the glimpse of forum post below

The Digic 7 is going to be a quad core cpu which will allow 4x the processing power for high MP, high frame rate bodies. The 5DX will contain one Digic 7 and the 1DX Mark II will contain 2 Digic 7s and 1 Digic 6. The Digic 6 will be for metwring and other smaller tasks. The 1DX will have a different larger battery while thr 5DX will keep going with the same.

This next processor from Canon will be class leading and will be much faster than whats currently out. It will have multicores. The processing power will be equivalent to a laptop from years ago.

At the moment we are not confirmed that Canon upcoming 5D Mark II successor will know as Canon 5D Mark IV or 5DX, since Canon does have several protypes of current Canon 5D Mark IV and it may announce two different models by naming them Canon 5DX and Canon 5DXs, one model dedicated for sports and low light work and other model with high resolution sensor dedicated for videography (4K) and studio work.

Canon New Camera Features ISO sensitivity of over 4000000

Canon-low-light-kingCanon today announced a new ME20F-SH multi-purpose camera, the camera features fullframe sensor of 2MP resolution and  ISO sensitivity of over 4000000 (yes its 4000000), the camera is mainly made for surveillance, film-making and reality TV.

I am Canon DSLR user but I would usually expect such type of product from Sony, The camera clearly tells the world and Sony that Canon is taking High ISO game seriously, it may be one of the attempt from Canon to acquire the low-light King position back from Sony.

New-low-light-kingThe newly announced ME20F-SH can see in complete darkness and a Full-moon night is enough for taking bright and clear portraits shots. Technically speaking the camera can take video as low as 0.0005 lux at a maximum gain setting of 75 Db @ISO 4,000,000.

Do you actually know how much amount of light available in front of your eyes at 0.0005 lux? , let me explain — a Moonless night sky produces luminance of 0.002 lux and a full moon on a clear night produces luminance of 0.27–1.0 lux. So, a full moon night is enough for shooting video without external light.

The Canon ME20F-SH record Full HD Video only and supports EF and EF-S lenses. There are built-in neutral density and IR cut filters, both of which can be disabled if desired. you Can get output from 3G/HD-SDI and HDMI ports, Canon also given 3.5mm jack for a stereo mic as well as GENLOCK port. The Camera will cost you appox $30,000.

Canon 1DX Mk II to feature 24 MP FF Sensor and Canon 6D Mark II...

Canon-1DX-Mark-II-img

We have published earlier that Canon upcoming flagship camera may feature high resolution sensor, the recent leaked info suggest is the upcoming camera may feature a newly developed 24MP Fullframe sensor.

Canon 1DX Mark II Major Specification (published earlier)
Higher Megapixel Sensor
Advance Autofocus System (compared to the current 61-Point High Density Reticular AF)
New Technology in Viewfinder
No information available type of image processor used.

The upcoming Canon 1DX Mark II is rumored to feature a 24 Megapixel Fullframe sensor and new image processor. With the help of new sensor and image processor the Camera will touch a new world record in shooting continuous full resolution shots with AF. The current Canon 1DX camera can shoot 14JPEG files with full AF support, No fullframe sensor based DSLR or Mirrorless camera able to touch Canon current flagship Canon 1DX 14fps speed with AF. So, Crossing the 14fps limit is not an easy task for Canon itself, to achieve 14fps+ frame rate by having 24 MP resolution (compared to 18 MP of Canon 1DX) the camera will need advance image processor possibly Dual DIGIC 6+.

Canon-6D-Mark-II-ImageCanon 6D Mk II Update – According to a email we have received today from a anonymous source one of the prototype of Canon 6D Mk II features 24 MP Fullframe sensor and a subtle change in core specification compared to it’s predecessor. Nikon D400 Coming in September 2015

Nikon-D400-coming

After waiting for about 4 years, there is lots of expectation that the users will now see the successor of Nikon D300S in the coming month of September, 2015. The latest rumor is surfaced over the FOX2 forum

take a look at test surfaced at the Fox2 forum

The only ‘facts’ I have been told are:

– its on its way, will be called D400, is scheduled for announcement in sept and will have a 24MP sensor.

Everything else is speculation but as it is likely to be the flagship of the cropped sensor range logic tells me that it will be a higher spec (and no doubt price) than the D7200 so would expect it to draw in quite a few of the bells and whistles from the D4s/D810 etc. What would be very desirable (for me) is a fast burst rate, group area AF, high ISO capability, fast write speed and quite a few other things I will think about over the weekend! lol

The only possible reason I think behind the delay of Nikon D400 camera was absence of a true competitor, over the past few months advance APS-C camera like 7D Mark II from Canon and NX1 from Nikon already created a different space in the APS-C cam market. Nikon D7200 specification look inferior in front of the recently announced flagship and Nikon need a flagship DSLR at this moment to continue the APS-C flagship legacy.

It is expected that Nikon D400 should be a very impressive and powerful camera compare to its predecessor Nikon D300S and there will be lots of magnificent features set for sports and wildlife shooters. It will come with 24MP APS-C Sensor comparatively superior to 12.3 MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor of Nikon D300s.

At this moment we don’t have much information till date but we expect that it will have possible 51 points AF system, ISO range upto 51200, and will also supports recording 4K UHD.

We know that Nikon will soon or later will going to announce the Nikon D400 camera. Take a look at the post published on April 11th, 2015 – Nikon D400 Will Arrive in Future

List of Camera that May Arrive on August / September 2015

We have already seen a bunch of announcement this year, take a look at the list of camera that may arrive in late August and September 2015,

Sony-A7000-coming-soon1. Sony A6000 Successor – As rumored earlier the Sony A7000 announcement was expected back on March 2015, but due to some technical issue the announcement was delayed, now it is rumored to arrive on August or September. The camera is rumored to feature 24 Megapixel CMOS sensor and on sensor HDR technology by having a 15.5 stops of dynamic range, it’s the highest dynamic range ever achieved by the Sony E-mount camera yet. For more detailed rumored specification click here

Canon-150D-coming-img2. The next for sure camera in the arrival list is Canon 150D / SL2, the Canon 150D and SL2 announcement is overdue and the camera is rumored to arrive in September 2015. According to the rumored specification of the camera the upcoming Canon 150D/ SL2 will carry a 24.2 Megapixel CMOS HYBRID CMOS III AF sensor, the old 19 point AF system will remain alive inside the rebel DSLR , the camera will remain limited to Full HD video recording. The company is also working on fixed mirror DSLR without and OVF, we don’t know at the moment Canon will bring out this technology (May be with or without Rebel SL2 / 150D), however one thing is sure that the Canon SL2 camera will again break the record of world smallest DSLR.

Canon-5D-Mark-IV-image3. Canon 5D Mark IV – Again we have a Canon camera in the list, the Canon 5D Mark IV expected arrival date is coming closer day by day, I am actually bit tired of reading non–reliable rumors every day in my email and everywhere on web, Take a look at the list of possible specification floating over the web..a total of three random core specification floating over the web, those starts from a 18 MP fullframe sensor to 24 MP FF sensor and finally ends on a 28 MP FF sensor. But according to the last & latest rumored specification I have published is taken from a forum and published by senior member, according to him Canon will announce two different models of Canon 5D Camera in near feature : –

  • Canon 5DX – Sports oriented photography, fast AF system, low resolution sensor for fast continuous shooting speed and optimized lowlight performance.
  • Canon 5DXs – S stands for Studio-work not sensitivity ?, Leaked specification says the camera will feature a 28Megapixel CMOS Sensor and advance AF system, dedicated to studiographers.

Canon-1DX-Mark-II-image4. Canon 1DX Mark II – On June 14th 2015 we have published a detailed information related to Canon 1DX Mark II Rumor, The most important part of the rumor was the line ” The EOS 5D Mark IV will come after the EOS-1D X Mark II announcement.”, however no more information related to 1DX successor available after that day.

Nikon-coolpix-A-II-coming

5. Nikon Coolpix A II – Nikon coolpix A update is overdue and the camera is expected to arrive soon, according to latest rumors the published online the coolpix A 18 MP sensor will be upgraded to 24MP DX format sensor.

  • 5.5 Nikon P8000 – Nikon is also rumored to announce 1″ sensor based compact camera Nikon P8000, the expected time span of arrival is September 2015 and will update you soon as we get any new information.

Sony-A99-half6. Sony A99II – Sony A99II camera is scheduled to arrive in September 2015, the camera has internal 4K recording and will also feature newly developed fullframe CMOS sensor, New kit lenses coming along with the Sony A99 II camera, these are new 24-105mm f/4.0 lens and a new Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 SSM.

Fujifilm-X-Pro-2-coming-ima7. Fujifilm X-Pro2 – Fujifilm X-Pro2 is rumored to feature same sensor as of Sony A7000 camera,.. We also think the news is correct since Fuji is unable bring new version of X-Trans sensor from 2013. We expect the camera will arrive inQ1 of 2016.

Sensor: The sensor size of both the camera is same but they features different resolution, the Panasonic GX8 4/3 sensor features 20 MP sensor as well as the Panasonic GH4 features a 16 MP 4/3 sensor.  The sensor inside the Panasonic GX8 is actually newly designed and developed by Sony, so despite of having same size and same ISO range I do believe the sensor inside the Panasonic GX8 will capture better still and video compared the GH4 camera.

With the help of new Venus Engine IX image processor and Sony IMX 269 sensor the camera is able to record 4K video at 30 and 24 fps, not only that you can also shoot 4K snaps (8 megapixels) @ 30 frames per second, that’s more than enough for capturing a live F1 event.

Panasonic GH4 full resolution continuous shooting speed is approx 12 fps and on the other hand the Panasonic GX8 continuous shooting speed is limited to 10 fps only, however keep in mind that the resolution of GX8 is bit high compared to the GH4.

The other major advantage of the new image processor is increase in the AF speed of the camera, although both camera is based on contrast based system but due to the addition of Venus Engine IX processor the AF speed is now approx 40% faster than the AF speed of GX7.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 vs. Panasonic GH4 2

Due to the presence of Electronic shutter in GX8 camera you get electronic shutter speed of 1/16000 sec where as the GH4 shutter speed is limited to 1/8000, with the Panasonic GX8 you can easily capture any sports event or flying bird in the air (highly suitable for sports and wildlife photography)

The Panasonic GX8 carry built-in WiFi and NFC, with the help of WiFi you can easily share your files whereas the with the NFC you can easily control you camera from a distance, you can use any of you NFC enabled smart device to control your camera. The Panasonic GH4 carries only built-in WiFi tag, so it can only used for sharing files.

Verdict: The Panasonic GX8 features improved core specification compared to the Panasonic GH4 camera, you get a camera with bit better core specification at $500 less.
