DJI Osmo Action 6 Teaser Revealed: November 18 Launch, and Specification

ACTION 6 IMAGE

The Image above you see is an actual DJI Action 6 Camera

The DJI Osmo Action 6 camera is officially teased by DJI itself. So now we have an official teaser, and the best part is that a few seconds of the video clip reveal the product is now locked in for November 18, 2025, at 12 PM GMT, so I am writing the article on November 4. It’s now just two weeks away, and we will have our Action 6 camera.

The DJI Action 6 camera is buzzing louder even than a drone. Why so? Because the rumours of Action 6 have been floating for more than a few months. The good thing is that in the teaser, it has been clearly written — a new square form factor with a tagline “Square up, nail the move”, which promises sharper angles and smooth footage, obviously with unmissable action.

Before we begin, we have to make it clear that this isn’t just hype; it’s DJI doubling down on their dominance in the action cam space, especially after the Action 5 Pro’s solid but iterative release earlier this year. As we reported in our exclusive leak just two days ago [DJI Osmo Action 6: Insider Leak Points to November 19 Launch], insider whispers pointed to a November 19 debut – turns out we were off by a day, but the specs we uncovered? Spot on. Today, we’re diving deep into the teaser, cross-referencing the latest rumors, so let’s dive in.

Breaking Down the Teaser: What DJI’s Not Saying (But Showing)

DJI’s official social media accounts actually share the teaser video handles globally — not just in China — and on their global English website. That clearly means it’s not a China-first announcement. It will be a global announcement on November 18, 2025. Now, at the very same time, if you look at the footage itself, what it explains is a kind of low-light footage of urban parkour and fluid motion – think seamless transitions from rooftop leaps to street-level sprints. The standout? A recurring square motif: geometric frames cropping the action, suggesting a redesigned body that’s more modular and grip-friendly than the rectangular Action 5 Pro.

Obviously, there are no specific specifications displayed in the teaser, and they should not also, but before we jump to the core specifications of the action camera, the users are really very excited for this, and if you look at the user reaction, then you will be delighted also.

X reactions are electric. Users like @mrhombre_ declared, “This is the day I’ve been waiting for since last year when I said I’ll skip the DJI Action 5 Pro,” echoing a sentiment from dozens of replies hyping the skip for this model. Others, like @Quadro_News, speculated on the square design’s ergonomics: “Не плохо)” (Not bad!), while @DrunkMFR begged, “Gimme 18th now!” The post has racked up over 3,600 views in hours, with reposts from influencers amplifying the pre-launch page: DJI Pre-launch.

But the biggest question is what does the teaser line actually mean, “Square up, nail the move” — so is this actually a transformation in the design? … nop DJI is actually talking about the sensor.

We have seen the official leaked images of the DJI Action 6 camera, so there is no question about the change of design.  The line  – Square up nail the move – has been used to hint at the  1/1.1-inch square CMOS Sensor, yes, we are reporting the camera is coming with 1/1.1 inch sensor... but we didn’t specifically point out the structure of the sensor, which is actually square in shape

World’s First: DJI Action 6’s Variable Aperture Lens Revolutionizes Action Cams

Yes, the DJI Action 6 camera is the world’s first action camera to feature variable aperture, not only at the software level. We also have a mechanical iris inside the camera that actually moves and is controlled by the camera itself and the user if he wishes to use maximum aperture as per the requirement of the scene. The variable aperture range of the camera is from f/2.0 to f/4.0, so you can control the depth technically without the requirement of adding extra ND filters on the camera. But yes, in some adverse situations, you have to use it.

action 6

Quick Breakdown from the Teaser and Leaks

Teaser Confirmation: On November 4, 2025, DJI posted the official teaser of the camera that shows the mechanical movement of the iris above the sensor and inside the lens, which is actually being used inside the camera for variable aperture. The tagline “Square Up, Nail the Move” ties into the square body hints, but the iris movement is the star, signaling pro-level control.

Your Image Match: The actual product images that we shared a while ago also clearly display the aperture range printed above the lens, so we have no doubt related to the presence of a variable lens inside the camera. At the very same time, the sensor size is also mentioned — it’s a 1/1.1-inch sensor for ~40% better light capture than the Action 5 Pro’s fixed f/2.8 setup.

Why “World’s First” for Action Cams? Yes, before the arrival of the DJI Action 6 camera, no action cam as of right now made by GoPro or Insta360 supports variable aperture. Maybe the upcoming Insta360 Ace Pro 3 will have a larger sensor, but there is no mention about the presence of variable aperture inside the Ace Pro 3 camera so far. Now the DJI Action 6 is the only camera we have with a variable aperture.

Rumored Specs: The Action 6’s Power-Packed Arsenal

Once again, take a look at the specifications of the DJI Action 6 camera, starting from its sensor to lens and video resolution modes — all are explained here.

Sensor and Imaging: Bigger, Bolder, Variable

  • 1/1.1-inch Square CMOS Sensor: kind of a step-up upgrade from the DJI Action 5 Pro camera, and the best part is, you will notice you not only have a larger sensor compared to the Action 5 Pro camera, you also have a better lens, so it’s really interesting.
  • Variable Aperture Lens (f/2.0–f/4.0): World’s first for action cams. The camera will automatically adjust its aperture level based on the requirements of the situation, and overall, with the help of aperture, the intake of light increases up to 40% compared to the Action 5 Pro, so specifically for low-light videos, the new Action 6 is highly suitable.

Resolution and Frame Rates

  • 8K/30fps with HDR and ProRes RAW
  • 5.3K/60fps
  • 4K/120fps and 1080p/240fps

Gear Up for November 18 – Your Move?

Gear for the November 18 announcement — we all know that DJI is a leader in action cameras and covers a great market space, and shares at the very same time. The newest addition of the Action 6 camera is coming with a lot of new features and upgrades, like a larger sensor and variable aperture lens that will appeal to a wide audience out there, and obviously, a lot of users of other action-camera makers may migrate to DJI if they fail to provide a proper upgrade to their existing camera. Specifically, we are looking up to the Insta360 Ace Pro 3 announcement — is it really coming with a large 1-inch sensor as rumoured before, with upgraded Leica lenses?

What feature has you hyped? The 8K beast mode or that endless battery? Drop your thoughts in the comments, smash that share button, and set a reminder for the reveal. Stay tuned to The New Camera for live coverage – we’ve got the insider edge.

DJI Avata 360 Confirmed: Trusted Leaker Igor Bogdanov Drops the Bombshell – Here’s What It Means for FPV Enthusiasts

DJI Neo 2 Review

DJI neo 2 review

We have done extensive coverage of the DJI Neo drone, and finally, it’s official in China, and we have our first review by pro reviewer Huaibab’s real-world tests. As we have published today (Oct 30), the DJI Neo 2 will be announced in Europe on November 13, 2025. Now we have its first review,  although it’s in the mainland Chinese language, we have written and structured it for your better understanding, so let’s dig deep into the first review of the DJI, and how it impresses with its new features and set of extended controls.

 Huaiba Crazy Tech

Review done by Huaiba Crazy Tech

After watching the footage just now, everything was shot entirely using the NEO 2 by Huaibab. This time, let me get straight to the point: the NEO 2 has truly upgraded to the max—they’ve squeezed out every bit of the toothpaste without holding back. So, what exactly has been upgraded in the NEO 2? Let’s start with the exterior design of the drone.

DJI NEO 2

Design Overhaul: Compact, Smarter, and Still Registration-Free

The NEO 2 features a completely new body design. The overall size and wheelbase are slightly larger, the colour has been changed to the same deep grey as the Mini 5 Pro, and the weight has increased by about 20 grams, 151 grams for the bare drone, and 160 grams with the O4 transmission module added. It still remains under 249 grams, qualifying as a drone that doesn’t require registration or a license. On the underside and sides of the body, two new buttons have been added. Now, you don’t need to open the DJI Fly App or wait for your phone to connect—you can directly long-press these buttons to switch and adjust shooting parameters. There’s also a small screen on the front that lets you instantly see the current shooting settings. The most thoughtful change is moving the LED indicator lights to the front, right next to the lens, so you can clearly see the drone’s status at a glance—no more guessing like with the previous generation whether the NEO has finished recording. And next to the LED lights is a laser obstacle avoidance system that works continuously at night for safe return-to-home, now also included on the NEO 2.

Feature DJI Neo (Original) DJI Neo 2
Weight (Bare) 135g 151g
Dimensions (Unfolded) 130 x 157 x 48.5 mm 147 x 171 x 41 mm
Color White/Gray Deep Gray (Mini 5 Pro match)
Controls App-only Side buttons + front OLED screen
Status Lights Rear/side Front (lens-adjacent)
Avoidance Sensors Basic vision Dual fisheye + forward LiDAR + IR down

Safety & Flight Smarts: Omnidirectional Avoidance on a Budget

The NEO 2 now has fisheye lenses on both the top and bottom of the body. With just dual binocular vision lenses, it achieves omnidirectional obstacle avoidance. This greatly improves flight safety when using movements like reverse tracking, gradual pull-away circling, etc. Thanks to the addition of the binocular vision positioning system, the NEO 2 now has significantly improved stability when flying over water, snow, or other surfaces with unclear ground textures. The key point is that DJI doesn’t just let the drone see its surroundings—it fully brings down advanced features from the Mini 4 Pro and above, like subject tracking for people and vehicles, and the 8-direction compass for custom follow angles. This gives the NEO 2 the same tracking capabilities as high-end models.

In terms of power, the NEO 2 has newly designed propellers that make flight noise quieter and less shrill. Ascent speed has increased by 65%, from 3 m/s to 5 m/s, while the maximum altitude remains capped at 120 meters. Wind resistance has slightly improved from Level 4 to Level 5. Tracking speed has jumped 50%, from about 28 km/h to 43 km/h, fully capable of keeping up with cycling. Battery life is similar to the previous generation—around 18 minutes, or enough for 20 palm takeoffs without issue.

Lowlight test by Huaiba Crazy Tech of the NEO 2 vs NEO drone

Imaging: Low-Light Magic and Vlog-Ready Upgrades

In terms of image quality, compared to the first generation, the aperture has been upgraded from F2.8 to F2.2. The sensor size remains 1/2 inch, but the NEO 2 uses a newly upgraded sensor and image processor, bringing clear improvements in low-light performance and video specs. Standard recording now supports an impressive 4K 60fps for smoother footage, perfect for slowing down to half speed in post-production. It also adds 4K 100fps slow-motion mode to capture stunning frozen moments. Additionally, vertical video—commonly used for short-form content—has been upgraded from 1080p to 2.7K. While photo resolution remains at 12 megapixels and still doesn’t support RAW (a slight downside), the gimbal has been completely redesigned. It upgrades from a single-axis to a dual-axis mechanical gimbal with the addition of a roll axis, and the pitch axis range has increased from 60° upward to 70°.

Video Specification Comparison

Mode Neo 1 Neo 2
Standard Video 4K/30fps 4K/60fps HDR
Slow-Mo N/A 4K/100fps
Vertical 1080p 2.7K
Gimbal Single-axis Dual-axis (pitch/roll)
Aperture/ISO F2.8 / 100-6400 F2.2 / 100-12800

AI Tracking has much improved in the NEO 2

New Tricks: Gestures, Storage, and Playstyles

With the roll axis, flight footage stability is greatly improved, and digital stabilization cropping is significantly reduced. Compared to the first-gen NEO, the field of view is much wider. Windy conditions or downward shots during landing cause far less shaking, and you’ll rarely see gimbal limit warnings. H

Although the NEO 2 doesn’t support 10-bit DLog-M or RAW, it inherits the Mini 5 Pro’s color science, producing pleasing straight-out-of-camera footage without editing. Even in low evening light, colors remain vibrant, helping mask minor low-light detail flaws. Plus, the NEO 2 can now recognize people in the frame and uses algorithms to optimise skin tones and lighting.  intelligent selfie feature—it’s like having a personal photographer automatically switching angles for perfect shots every time. The NEO 2 is truly the next-generation Vlog god machine.

  • Internally, storage has doubled from 22GB to 49GB. File
  •  transfer speed to your phone is now 4x faster, reaching 80MB/s, so large videos move quickly.

The most fun new feature, as shown in the intro, is gesture control. Previously, you had to set follow angles and distances before takeoff. Now, just raise your palm and spread your fingers to instantly adjust follow direction. Open and close both hands to control shooting distance—super responsive and fun. You can even switch the follow subject: if someone else nearby raises their hand, the drone switches to them. New follow modes include cycling and skiing. In this demo, Huaibab used cycling follow with precise 8-angle compass settings—the bike tracking is incredibly strong. Master Shots are now built-in, and Flip’s signature dolly zoom is included for the first time.

To stop recording or return at any time, just extend your palm—the drone pauses, finds your hand, and lands. No need to stand still for 3 seconds or use the app like other models. For photos, the most practical new feature is intelligent selfie—let’s head outside to demo the NEO 2’s many playstyles.

For live audio in videos, open the DJI Fly App, pair, and it uses your phone’s mic. NEO 2 also supports voice commands like the first generation. Allow u to take off with voice. On-screen, it recognises the person as the subject. Default follow mode. In app, drag to change angle—e.g., rear follow, walk, it follows behind. Switch to front—it reverses. All audio you hear is NEO 2 + phone mic.

It also tracks vehicles. Select the car icon, enable follow, and switch angles. Car moves—it auto-adjusts (e.g., tail). Normally only on Mini 4 Pro+, but NEO 2’s omnidirectional avoidance enables 8-way people/vehicle tracking.

Choosing between the entry-level DJI Flip, NEO 2, and Mini 5 Pro?

  • Mini 5 Pro: Most complete, top image quality, six fisheye lenses for best avoidance, largest wheelbase = best wind/power, lossless vertical + rotation gimbal. Drawback: no palm takeoff. Choose for ultimate quality/features.
  • Flip vs. NEO 2: Flip has better image quality, 3-axis gimbal, larger wheelbase, 3000m altitude takeoff, better wind resistance. Pick Flip (or larger Mini 5 Pro) for harsh high-altitude/coastal use. Downside: forward-only avoidance—fly carefully.

Summary: NEO 2 packs omnidirectional avoidance, major image/power/speed upgrades into a tiny, cheap body. Most versatile mini DJI drone. Works with existing remotes/goggles. Palm takeoff/selfie, gesture control, remote for range, and goggles for FPV racing.

DJI Neo 2 Announcement: October 30 China Launch, November 13 Europe Rollout

DJI NEO 2

As per the latest reports, the DJI Neo 2 is officially coming tomorrow, October 30, 2025, in China. The pocket-sized FPV drone is specifically made for content creators and the vlogging community. Those who love to create content with ease and enjoy having drones that follow them continuously and record their activities at the same time will appreciate the little Neo 2. It also boasts great FPV capabilities and is now more enhanced compared to the first-generation Neo 1 drone. But despite all that, the fact is that the drone announcement on October 30 will be done for the Asian market, and in Europe, it will be officially announced on November 13, 2025, and that will align with the pre-orders and shipping for mid-month rollout. Now, in United States of America, it may be delayed due to the FCC hurdle / the ban that is coming soon. In just a month or so, we are close to the DJI official ban in the USA, and it won’t hurt the existing drones you already own or those that are in the retail stores of the USA, but it will surely hurt the new announcements like the Neo 2. So for now, we do not have any clue related to the Neo 2 availability in the USA, but at the very same time, the embargo of the FCC expires in January 2026, which is a hope for its global rollout in that particular month, and it may become available in the US market if they skip the ban part. But it doesn’t seem that they can escape the ban as per the situation we have right now. No one is ready to audit DJI; at the very same time, if no one is going to audit the company, the ban will take place automatically.

DJI NEO 2

Region Announcement Availability / Shipping
China October 30, 2025 Immediate (same day)
Europe November 13, 2025 Shipping starts ~Nov 13–15
Global (UK, AU, etc.) Nov 13 onward Phased, mostly mid-late Nov
USA FCC embargo until Jan 15, 2026 No official US sales until then

DJI NEO 2

Release Timeline: China First, Phased Global Waves

Now, DJI is evolving as per the requirements of the situation, like a very smart brand. They have switched to a different strategy recently, making China the first announcement which will make the product available as soon as possible to the Asian market, and after that, they will do a European rollout where they have to face very less hurdles, and finally the global rollout or the USA-based rollout of the product where obviously they are facing a lot of hurdles related to the drone announcement. Although if they are into action camera announcements or the pocket series, then obviously there is no problem, but they may follow the same strategy with the cameras too, not only drones.

DJI Action 6 Near 1-Inch Sensor, 8K Video, and 4-Hour Battery Revealed

DJI Neo 2: Coming on October 30, Teaser Spotted – Release Date, Specs & Price Leaks

So finally, we have some fresh updates related to the DJI Neo 2; an official DJI Neo 2 teaser has been posted by DJI itself. It’s really interesting to see that the DJI Neo 2 is coming almost exactly on the same time frame that we have discussed in our previous post. We have started covering the DJI Neo 2, beginning with its FCC filings, followed by the specification sheet, price, and expected arrival timeframe of the drone. We have discussed everything in detail, including the information we had published just before that, all of which pointed towards a mid-November announcement. The DJI Neo series is evolving into a bolder FPV cinewhoop for content creators. And the Neo 2 will surely bring some major updates

DJI NEO 2 Official Teaser: it’s official now

Finally, we have an official update from DJI, China, and the teaser image. You can see this in the teaser above. They are so close. One of the propellers of the DJI Neo drone and the date is very clearly mentioned, October 30, 2025, so now it has become official that the DJI Neo 2 is coming on October 30, 2025

So in this article below, we have also covered a day just before the teaser was posted by the DJI China, which was already leaked by the veteran leaker Quadro News, and after that we are discussing the set of specifications which is almost confirmed and coming along with the DJI Neo 2 as well as the price of the drone, so let’s dive into the deep analysis of the Neo 2 drone

What Is the DJI Neo 2? A Quick Evo Primer

Originally, the DJI Neo was announced back in late 2024. The DJI NEO series was made for entry-level users, targeting beginners, and it was so easy to operate, you can start with palm-launch, features like active tracking in the new follow you wherever you go. The new was so easy to handle that you can operate it with gestures and some of the minimal buttons on the body of the drone itself. The weight was 135 g only. So you are completely free to register your drones with the FAA, so more or less, the Neos is a specifically one of the best series to begin with. If you are interested in drones.  So, that was a little introduction about the actual NEO, now its time for the latest updates we have related to the DJI Neo 2. Let’s dive into the details

Later on, the replies are flooded with “NEO 2” shouts (including ours!), and he (Quadro_News) even jumps in to clarify “No Pro…Only Neo 2” when someone speculates on a Pro variant. That’s his classic style to tell the things without opening up the beanbags, but its confirmed now the NEO 2 announcement is around the corner.

As we have said, the announcement date of the NEO 2 drone somehow aligns with our mid-November prediction from dealer forecasts and FCC timelines (ID: SS3-DEN225, greenlit July 25, 2025). Why so? Since we do know that DJI does follow a pattern? After registering the product in the wireless certification agencies, or better to say after registering it on the FCCID, the DJI usually takes approx 112-115 days to announce the product on average, and as usual the on January 15, 2026 FCCID will lift the embargo, and all the external test images as well as internal images of the drone will become public. This timing is also best since we are getting into Black Friday Zone, if they add some discount over the announcement price, for sure it will become a big hit.  The pre-orders are expected to start on November 10.

DJI Pocket 4 Leak: Fresh Prototype Photos from Barcelona Shoot Spark Major Buzz

DJI Action 6 Near 1-Inch Sensor, 8K Video, and 4-Hour Battery Revealed

DJI Mic 3 Pro Price, Arrival Date and More Information

DJI Mic 3 Pro Image

Key Points

  • According to the latest rumours, the DJI Mic 3 Pro is expected to arrive in November 2025.
  • Upgraded “Pro” variant, recently launched DJI Mic 3, will have professional-grade features missing in Mic 3, like 3.5mm Lav support on TX, -20dB backup track, full genlock/jam-sync with sub-frame accuracy and more.
  • The Mic 3, possibly in the $350-450 range for a standard kit (Pro models).
  • As per user feedback on the Mic 3, 64GB+ per TX can be seen on Mic 3 Pro.
  • Mic 3 launched in August 2025, Mic 3 Pro in November, and DJI is taking the wireless Mic market seriously.

Overview

The DJI Mic Pro is finally coming too quickly after the DJI Mic 3 was announced in August 2025. It will focus on the missing parts of competitors’ offerings. Specifically, if you talk about the Rode Gen 3 Pro, which is getting a bit popular among pro content creators. The NEW Mic 3 PRO will address some issues by potentially adding enhanced features at a higher price point, which will protect the sales of Mic 3 as well and users will remain in the DJI ecosystem even if they are seeking “PRO” features at a higher price point. The Mic 3 PRO features we are expecting are the introduction of lavalier inputs, a safety channel equivalent, higher gain, and advanced timecode—aligning with “Pro” upgrades (e.g., enhanced durability or connectivity). No leaks confirm these specs as of now, but user feedback suggests priorities like better weather resistance or expanded storage beyond 32GB per transmitter. If implemented, this would narrow the gap with the Rode Gen 3 Pro series mic.

Expectations for DJI Mic 3 Pro

The DJI Mic 3 leaked information surfaced alongside with the NEO 2 update, no detailed specification has been surfaced of the upcoming PRO version, we are expecting as of now based on user feedback and competitors’ offerings, it could incorporate missing elements like lavalier inputs, a safety channel, higher gain, or improved SNR/frequency response to compete directly with latest Rode PRO. Specs upgrades will also include expanded storage (>32GB), XLR compatibility for pro cameras, or better weather resistance for outdoor shoots. Additionally, 1 RX can support 4 receivers; with group linking, we can pair up to 8 receivers. The new PRO mic will have standalone support of 8-12 receivers, without the further need for group linking.

Feature Comparison

Feature DJI Mic 3 Expected DJI Mic 3 Pro Improvements
Lavalier Input No Yes, 3.5mm on TX with possible bundled lavs
Safety Channel No (dual-file instead) Added -20dB backup track
Gain Ceiling +20dB Up to +30dB or higher
Timecode Basic integrated sync Full genlock/jam-sync with sub-frame accuracy
Storage ~32GB per TX 64GB+ per TX
Noise Reduction Dual-level Advanced AI-powered with more levels
Weather Resistance Basic (operating -10° to 45°C) IP-rated for dust/water
Price (est.) $329 $350-450

DJI Mic 3 Pro Rumoured Arrival Date

Source point November 2025, as the announcement month of the DJI Mic PRO. That’s really interesting, since it’s just three months after the DJI Mic 3 announcement. DJI is now in rapid-fire mode, announcing one after another. Only after the announcement can we realise that DJI has really sped up the development process. We will witness the major development in the DJI Mic 3 PRO, as we are expecting above in the core specification section, or it’s just a matter of revenue rather than innovation. Is the November announcement specifically aimed at holiday sales? Since the timing aligns with Q4 professional buying cycles. Now we have to monitor DJI channels for potential teasers, since just before the announcement of the DJI Mic 3, the teaser was posted on August 21, 2025, and launched a week later, suggesting a similar short lead-up for the Pro.

DJI Mic 3 Pro Expected Price

Pricing is the most important factor here, since they have to save the sales number of the recently announced DJI Mic 3, and at the very same time, the pricing should be so perfect that if a PRO actually needs some extra sort of features, the PRO series remains available with an enhanced feature set at a different price tier. The base DJI Mic 3 retails at $219 for a single transmitter-receiver combo and $329 for the full kit (two transmitters, receiver, charging case, windscreens, and clips). As a “Pro” model, $100-150 jump is expected for premium features, landing in the $350-450 range for a comparable kit. Pricing should remain competitive with rivals like the Rode Wireless Pro, which offers pro features at around $400.

If the rumours are true, then for sure, DJI will dominate the audio market space just like they are dominating the drone market space. However, we are waiting for further confirmation and actual leaked images of the DJI Mic 3 Pro before we get any rock-solid information—we have to balance excitement.
