It looks like someone is testing out the next Avata drone in the wild. We are getting different names for that Avata 3 or DJI 360, since the design of the drone matches with Avata, with new style of camera setup, it looks like a completely new type of prototype from DJI. Even as we have previously published the DJI 360 drone, after a long-term discussion with our website editors, we have compared the previous leaked images of the Avata 3 drone. We are very much sure it’s the Aata series drone
Latest Leaked Images of the DJI Avata 3
Now we have the recent images from the Chinese regional websites of what appears to be a prototype of DJI. As usual, before the announcement, DJI does rigorous testing of their product. The drone is very compact and cinewhoop-style frame; at a glance, it looks very much similar to its predecessor, the Avata 2, but as you guys may have noticed, the new image shows a heavy and large gimbal size in the leaked image compared to what we have in the Avata 2.
To get a clear view, we have further upscaled the images with the help of the available set of AI tools we have. While upscaling the image, it clearly shows a 360-degree style camera on the top of the gimbal. Now that really sparks a debate whether it’s truly the DJI Avata 3 or maybe an entirely new model, which may look like the DJI Avata series but it’s a 360 drone, or better to say it’s a new DJI 360 drone.

DJI 360 Drone Lens and Sensor Insights

However, the image clearly shows a panoramic lens mounted on a rotating gimbal attached to the drone. Sure, this setup will allow for flexible shooting modes. The leaked DJI 360 Drone images are no coincidence; we were actually waiting for that after the Insta360 Antigravity event announcement back in July 2025, which is set for January 2026 release, so it is quite obvious that the DJI 360 Drone will arrive on or before January 2026.
The biggest difference between the two in terms of camera placement is that the Antigravity A1 uses twin fisheye lenses and which are fixed on the drone, but in the DJI 360 Drone, the camera is placed on a rotating gimbal.
