Masaya Maeda, the Managing Director and Chief Executive, Image Communication Products Operations confirmed that Canon is working on serious mirrorless camera system other than EOS-M
Currently no Canon camera offers more than 22MP. Do your DSLR customers ask for higher resolution?
Maeda: Yes. We know that many of our customers need more resolution and this is under consideration. In the very near future you can expect us to show something in terms of mirrorless and also a higher resolution sensor.
Latest Rumors
Latest rumors (published on December 1st, 2014 ), we got a information that Canon may announce a new fullframe mirrorless camera in 2015, however no detailed information is available. Here we are not talking about the EOS M3 camera, its completely new camera system coming from Canon.
Now from the above lines we get high hope that the new mirrorless is coming….. but also take a look at the past and my thoughts on Canon mirrorless system

The EOS M failure
Canon EOS M was not a successful product and according to me one of the biggest reason behind the failure of EOS M series camera that it uses a completely different series of lens system… EF-M…
NC’s Take
They messed-up all the things…Canon Dual Pixel CMOS AF in DSLR Body? …. Canon already Implemented Dual Pixel CMOS AF sensor inside the DSLR, but Why ? … the best place to implement the CMOS AF sensor is in a mirrorless body since you have no space to add a external AF module just like a DSLR… so finally they already missed the opportunity to introduce a new line of mirrorless camera with dual-pixel CMOS AF sensor…. In my view... The DSLR line should have pure CMOS sensor… I do not want Dual pixel CMOS AF sensor inside the next generation of 5D or 1D series camera, if my DSLR is capable of having a different AF module … why they adding more and more complex AF (Auto Focus) technology inside the sensor… the concentration should be pointed towards the development of high performance lowlight CMOS sensor just like Sony A7s.
No Need for Mirrorless Camera if it doesn’t directly support EF and EF-S lenses, Canon users those who already have high quality lenses will not going to invest money in new lenses….and the mirrorless cam is useless if the camera body arrived by having similar sensor as of Canon DSLRs , it’s a flop show… and no one’s want to see that..

Canon recently used the Sony made 1 inch sensor in recently announced Canon powershot G1X camera, But Why Canon used a Sony made Sensor in its Pro Compact camera ? The answer camera directly from Masaya Maeda – Managing Director and Chief Executive, Image Communication Products Operations at Canon he said “We select the best sensor, whoever the manufacturer is. That’s our policy.” (That’s Canon new policy, I think)
According to a rumor published at CR.com
“Canon will use Sony’s new 46mp sensor as the 3rd party launch partner, maybe a little after Sony releases it in a camera of their own. Sony and Canon are partnering on many upcoming products – most recently the G7X being a prime example. Canon will use their own CFA / processing and will make a big point of colour accuracy.”
So we are now confirmed that Canon may use Sony made 46 MP sensor in its upcoming DSLR, since even we have received such information that Canon and Sony prototypes are in the wild by having the same high resolution sensor.

Canon 4K compact camcorder coming soon, according to latest rumors the upcoming fixed lens compact camcorder from Can0n may feature the same sensor used in the Canon G1X camera (made by Sony) and will record 4K videos.
The upcoming Canon camera is will going to compete with Sony PXW-X70, the price is expected to be around $2000. Will you going to buy expensive 4K camcorder? or look for a different solution like GH4 or NX1 camera.

After getting a lot of email from users, we finally decided to remove the post, the problem is limited to very few models…
Few users are reporting that 7D Mark II showing some AF issue with Fast lenses, So don’t panic some body may show some lens AF issue, You can somehow fix the problem in the micro adjustment menu (if you can). But I recommend all buyers to send the 7D Mark II back and demand a perfect one. You pay a high price for the camera compared to the image quality. You can demand a fully functional camera for your money.

 Canon EOS C100 image According to the latest rumors Canon is is working on a on 4K Fixed Lens Camcorder and its name is XC10, the expected arrival date is Q1 of 2015, Canon may also announce 4K Cinema EOS C300 Mark II & an new flagship Cinema EOS product. According to the latest rumors surfaced over the web, Canon is expected to announce the recently teased big sensor compact camera with a longer zoom lens on CES show, the CES show is going to be held in Las Vegas, NV on January 6 to 9, 2015.
At this moment we don’t know the specification yet, but the camera is expected to feature the same sensor as used in the Canon powershot G7X compact camera, the sensor is same as of Sony RX100 M3… stay with us we will update you soon…

According to sources two prototype of full frame camera exist, one cam with full-frame sensor on board, the other an EOS M with rangefinder. we will update you soon as we get any new information.
