Bit more and more information coming out as the announcement date is coming closer,
The upcoming fixed lens 4K camera from Canon will equipped with with a Canon log (C-log) gamma profile, hence it will preserve or record the most color and luminance data directly from the sensor.
The other feature revealed is the latitude (dynamic range) , the upcoming camera is rumored to feature 10-12 stops of latitude… that’s really look great on paper but we are waiting to see it’s performance against the present day mirrorless and compact 4K camera.

You see Canon China President and CEO Hideki Ozawa showing the 4k camera in a conference in China, multiple images surfaced through a Weibo account and different rumor mills around the world.
Canon will soon announce 4K compact camera with 10X optical zoom lens, you can see the images of the camera look similar to a rebel series DSLR with fixed lens, we can clearly spot the aperture range and optical zoom lens of the camera.
 10x optical zoom 8.9-89mm f/2.8-5.6 4k video lens.
As you can see the design is not so compact and resembles with DSLR with an external viewfinder and lens hood.
The camera is expected to arrive at NAB 2015 show, we will update you soon as we get any new information.

Canon 4K compact camcorder coming soon, according to latest rumors the upcoming fixed lens compact camcorder from Can0n may feature the same sensor used in the Canon G1X camera (made by Sony) and will record 4K videos.
The upcoming Canon camera is will going to compete with Sony PXW-X70, the price is expected to be around $2000. Will you going to buy expensive 4K camcorder? or look for a different solution like GH4 or NX1 camera.
