According to latest rumors coming from trusted sources, the camera will use Canon LP-E17 battery. The battery is of 1040 mAh capcitiy. One of the most important thing is,
1. Canon EOS R 1865 maAh Battery Life is not so good (370 shots per charge)
Canon EOS R camera uses uses a LP-E6N Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack, 7.2 VDC, 1865 mAh . And the Canon EOS R 1865 mAh battery is allow you to capture 350 – 370 shots per charge.
2. EOS RP Rumored to use 1040 mAh battery
So, if Canon added a lower power 1040 mAh battery Canon LP-E17 to the upcoming EOS RP Mirrorless then they will sure create a camera with terrible battery life that no one wants to buy.
And the second option is, they have find a way to make a more energy efficient camera (as we have seen in past, camera makers are now interested in making more energy efficient cameras. Nikon D3500 is gives you 500+ shots with same battery that Nikon D3400 was using). So, there is big possibility that Canon manages to give more shot-per-charge camera compared to EOS R, by removing the touch bar etc and adding new circuits.
Things to note In general Canon LP-E17 is being used in – EOS M3, M5, M6, Rebel SL2, Rebel T6s, Rebel T6i, Rebel T7i, and 77D

Panasonic Announces the S1R and S1 Camera finally announced by Panasonic today. Panasonic S1 / S1R2 features dual card slot that Canikon FF Mirrorless camera were missing. But, at the same time both camera loaded with contrast based DFD AF system. As we know the DFD AF system AF speed varies from camera to camera, so it will be very interesting to see some real world reviews of both the camera, how this camera performs when you compared them with DFD AF system based EOS R or Hybrid AF System based Z7 and A7R III camera.
Both Panasonic cameras offer robust weather-resistance and in-body 5-axis image stabilization that will work in combination with Lumix lenses equipped with optical stabilization.
Both camera uses Contrast Based AF System: Autofocus is contrast-based and relies on Panasonic’s DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology to speed up focus acquisition.
Ability to create High Resolution Images : S1 offers a multi-shot High Resolution mode able to create 96MP images. S1R creates 187MP files compared to 96MP from the S1.
Burst Shooting of Both the camera: Standard burst shooting is offered at up to 9 fps with single AF, or 6 fps with continuous AF and live view.
Video – Panasonic says the Panasonic S1 creates Rich 4K 30p video compared to S1R: While the S1R is capable of 4K/60p video recording, it uses pixel binning (skipping actual pixels to cop with video resolution) where the S1 offers higher quality over-sampled 4K/30p footage from its full sensor width. In-body 5-axis stabilization can be combined with optical stabilization.
Panasonic thinks that S1 would be 70% used for stills and 30% geared toward video. oversampled 4K/30p video from the full width of the sensor, or 4K/60p from an APS-C region. The S1 will also offer 180 fps 1080 video capture, output as 1/6th speed footage at 29.97p. S1 users will also have the option to pay for an upgrade to add Log capabilities and the ability to output or capture 10-bit 4:2:2 footage. The standard camera only shoots 10-bit in its HLG high-dynamic range video mode. Pricing and availability date of the upgrade has not yet been announced.
Lens Mounts: The S1 and S1R use the L-mount standard, introduced first by Leica and now developed in collaboration with Panasonic and Sigma. The Panasonic Lumix DC-S1 will be available in early April for $2499 body-only or $3399 with the co-announced 24-105mm F4 lens.
