 According to latest rumors Canon EOS A1 may arrive with a high resolution sensor in 2014, the upcoming camera will not replace any current DSLR but it will create a new camera line-up as started by Nikon D800 / D800E, the camera will feature class leading video and still image quality with Hybrid Viewfinder.

Canon will sure use a 100X optical zoom in its upcoming megazoom cameras, but it always hard to implement theoretically correct things in practical life… The major area where problem will arise is image stabilization, noise control and retractable lens barrel with ultra-compact design.

1. Canon will announce a new EOS-1 body at Photokina in 2014, the upcoming EOS-1 is not a upgraded version of current EOS 1DX, it will features high resolution sensor (yep, its a Nikon D800/800E competitor) + we also get a bit of confirmation that Canon will not use its Dual Pixel AF technology in upcoming megapixel monster.
2. Yes 7D mark II is coming, we don’t have confirmation about the name or specification yet, but a high-end APS-C sensor based camera coming in 2014.
Canon will also announce / update record amount of lenses in 2014.

On October 11, 2013, Nikon Corporation and Nikon Inc. (“Nikon”) sued Sakar International, Inc. (“Sakar”) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York for design patent infringement and trade dress infringement arising from Sakar’s “Polaroid iM1836” digital camera (Case No. 13-Civ-7228 (S.D.N.Y)).
Shortly thereafter, Nikon moved for a preliminary injunction to stop the sales and advertising of the Polaroid iM1836 digital camera. After appearing before the Court, Sakar and Nikon agreed on the terms of a preliminary injunction. The Court thus issued a Preliminary Injunction Order on December 4, 2013 (Eastern Standard Time).
As part of the injunction, Sakar will no longer manufacture, import, advertise, promote, offer for sale, sell, or ship the Polaroid iM1836 digital camera in its present configuration.
