So, the DJI house for Mobile 8 has now generated a lot of buzz recently. As per the latest rumors, the DJI OMSO 8 Gimble is coming in November 2025. As usual, after the iPhone 17 series release, it’s quite a bit expected move from DJI to announce a new gimbal, and let’s not forget the FCCID listing that we have already spotted back on July 20, 2025 (Model: DS308, FCC ID: 2ANDR-DS308). But, the most interesting part is that something weird happened recently, we have also spotted the DJI OSM 8 listing on Amazon USA

The listing on Amazon is currently being handled by third-party seller Smart Fly Gear, suggesting an early placeholder entry ahead of the official DJI announcement.
Although just after a few hours of listing, the seller has removed the stock status of the gimbal and other details related to that. This listing doesn’t look legit to me, although it may have happened that someone accidentally uploaded the page prior to the announcement. Amazon.com is an authorised online partner of DJI USA, BUT, at the same time, we have to buy DJI products from only trusted online sellers like RotorLogic (US Authorised Dealer) Hibikin USA
Expected Features and Upgrades
With the introduction of the DJI OSMO 8, DJI is also expected to introduce Active track 8.0 and enhanced controls, as well as algorithms optimised for evolving smartphone tech, such as heavier camera modules in devices like the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max.
- Stabilisation and Modes: Upgraded 3-axis stabilisation with enhanced motor torque for smoother footage
- AI Tracking: Potentially ActiveTrack 8.0,
- LiDAR and Sensors: Standard LiDAR, superior depth sensing in low-light
- Battery Life: Extended runtime of 10-12 hours
- Modular Accessories: A multifunctional module with integrated lighting, wireless mic reception (compatible with DJI Mic series), and sync with third-party apps like TikTok and Instagram for live streaming. Tighter ties to the OsmoAudio ecosystem are expected
Expected Release Date
Multiple sources, and specifically some reputed ones too, like droneXL, point to a November 2025 launch. Holiday sales are coming (starting from NOV 28), potentially a perfect time for the introduction of the OSM 8. Actually, it’s a part of the DJI triple rollout, including the DJI Neo 2 FPV drone (with a larger battery and improved core specifications) and Mic 3 Pro. It looks like DJI is refreshing its creator tools ecosystem this November 2025.
Expected price
The pricing is a very crucial part of any product, but fortunately, the DJI Osmo Mobile series doesn’t cost your bank.
- The DJI Osmo 8 standard model will cost somewhere between $99 $199.
- The Pro model will cost you $159 to $179 with advanced features and a multifunctional module as an option.
We are full excited, And we are expecting the OSMO 8 Gimbal will become available soon, just after its official announcement. The best part of using a DJI product is its ECO system, which really helps being a creator. Stay tuned, we will post an update soon

DJI Pocket 3 is one of the most popular handheld gimbal-based video cameras in the market, and we have published a report on our website, thenewcamera.com. The Pocket 3 is covering up more than 50% of the video camera market in Japan itself. Not only in Japan, but if you’re going to see the stats, you will be surprised. DJI Osmo Pocket 3 gimbal cameras are about 5 million units, with revenue of nearly 2.8 billion US Dollars. The cumulative total sales have exceeded 10 million units, becoming one of DJI’s main revenue businesses in addition to its drone business.
Now let’s jump to the core portion of the news.
OPPO’s Entry into the Handheld Gimbal Camera Market
OPPO is already known for making high-quality camera-based smartphones. The Find X series is already expanding and it is one of the most popular series among its users. Apart from this, according to the latest information we have from trusted sources, OPPO is developing a handheld gimbal camera, which is very similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and the project has been greenlit within OPPO’s premium Find flagship division, signaling a serious commitment to competing in the action camera space dominated by brands like DJI Pocket 3 and Insta360.

Vivo’s device has already progressed to prototype stages.
Vivo (sister company) is ready to announce the Pocket 3 Style camera in 2026. The information is confirmed and the early prototypes of the device have been showcased and given for internal demos to over 200 staff members. While Vivo treats this as a top priority, OPPO’s effort is still in the early phases, but the momentum suggests a polished product by 2026.
The news broke on September 26, 2025, via Jiemian News, highlighting how Chinese tech companies are seeking growth beyond smartphones. OPPO’s initiative follows in the footsteps of its sister company Vivo, which started its own gimbal camera project late last year.
The news broke on September 26, 2025, via Jiemian News:
“Vivo is treating the effort as a priority with more than 200 staff and has already shown internal prototypes, sources said. As seen on – en.jiemian.com”
This shift makes sense: the market of global handheld cameras is booming with an increase in the number of content creators. Now, take a look at the prediction that shows a massive amount of opportunity for handheld gimbal camera makers, with projections estimating over 72 million units shipped by 2027 and revenues around $8.3 billion. High-profit margins—often exceeding 50% for new models from DJI and Insta360—make it an attractive venture. For OPPO and Vivo, even modest sales of a few hundred thousand units will work, since they are facing very tough competition in the smartphone market, and the handheld gimbal camera market doesn’t have any serious competitor other than DJI (Insta360 limited to 360 camera only).
Release Date, Availability and Price
Now, when are we going to have our hands on the upcoming DJI Pocket 3 style OPPO camera or the Vivo camera, which is rumored to be announced earlier than OPPO? All the potential information points to 2026, and to be more specific, Vivo will first announce the handheld gimbal style camera in the first half of 2026, followed by OPPO in the mid or later part of 2026.
Initially, they will roll out their product in the Chinese native market to seek user feedback and correct the versions with their firmware updates. Later on, they will have a global rollout of the product as usual. They do this routine schedule with almost all their prime flagships and mid-phones: they first announce in the Chinese native market, then they do a global rollout. Other than that, if you talk about the price range, then what we are expecting as of now is to be competitive—perhaps in the $400-$600 range, undercutting premium DJI models while leveraging OPPO’s supply chain efficiencies.
Vivo, OPPO, Realme, and OnePlus are different brands of parent company BBK Electronics. Technically, it means if a technology is being developed for one brand, it will be shared with sister companies if it is popular in the market and generates profit for the brand.
So that’s a good kind of Chinese practice to create self-competitors and not wait for others to create your competition. Instead of that, you should put a lot of options via different brands in the market. So that’s the strategy that BBK Electronics follows, and it’s really great.

Key Points
- According to the latest rumours, the DJI Mic 3 Pro is expected to arrive in November 2025.
- Upgraded “Pro” variant, recently launched DJI Mic 3, will have professional-grade features missing in Mic 3, like 3.5mm Lav support on TX, -20dB backup track, full genlock/jam-sync with sub-frame accuracy and more.
- The Mic 3, possibly in the $350-450 range for a standard kit (Pro models).
- As per user feedback on the Mic 3, 64GB+ per TX can be seen on Mic 3 Pro.
- Mic 3 launched in August 2025, Mic 3 Pro in November, and DJI is taking the wireless Mic market seriously.
Overview
The DJI Mic Pro is finally coming too quickly after the DJI Mic 3 was announced in August 2025. It will focus on the missing parts of competitors’ offerings. Specifically, if you talk about the Rode Gen 3 Pro, which is getting a bit popular among pro content creators. The NEW Mic 3 PRO will address some issues by potentially adding enhanced features at a higher price point, which will protect the sales of Mic 3 as well and users will remain in the DJI ecosystem even if they are seeking “PRO” features at a higher price point. The Mic 3 PRO features we are expecting are the introduction of lavalier inputs, a safety channel equivalent, higher gain, and advanced timecode—aligning with “Pro” upgrades (e.g., enhanced durability or connectivity). No leaks confirm these specs as of now, but user feedback suggests priorities like better weather resistance or expanded storage beyond 32GB per transmitter. If implemented, this would narrow the gap with the Rode Gen 3 Pro series mic.
Expectations for DJI Mic 3 Pro
The DJI Mic 3 leaked information surfaced alongside with the NEO 2 update, no detailed specification has been surfaced of the upcoming PRO version, we are expecting as of now based on user feedback and competitors’ offerings, it could incorporate missing elements like lavalier inputs, a safety channel, higher gain, or improved SNR/frequency response to compete directly with latest Rode PRO. Specs upgrades will also include expanded storage (>32GB), XLR compatibility for pro cameras, or better weather resistance for outdoor shoots. Additionally, 1 RX can support 4 receivers; with group linking, we can pair up to 8 receivers. The new PRO mic will have standalone support of 8-12 receivers, without the further need for group linking.

DJI Mic 3 Pro Rumoured Arrival Date
Source point November 2025, as the announcement month of the DJI Mic PRO. That’s really interesting, since it’s just three months after the DJI Mic 3 announcement. DJI is now in rapid-fire mode, announcing one after another. Only after the announcement can we realise that DJI has really sped up the development process. We will witness the major development in the DJI Mic 3 PRO, as we are expecting above in the core specification section, or it’s just a matter of revenue rather than innovation. Is the November announcement specifically aimed at holiday sales? Since the timing aligns with Q4 professional buying cycles. Now we have to monitor DJI channels for potential teasers, since just before the announcement of the DJI Mic 3, the teaser was posted on August 21, 2025, and launched a week later, suggesting a similar short lead-up for the Pro.
DJI Mic 3 Pro Expected Price
Pricing is the most important factor here, since they have to save the sales number of the recently announced DJI Mic 3, and at the very same time, the pricing should be so perfect that if a PRO actually needs some extra sort of features, the PRO series remains available with an enhanced feature set at a different price tier. The base DJI Mic 3 retails at $219 for a single transmitter-receiver combo and $329 for the full kit (two transmitters, receiver, charging case, windscreens, and clips). As a “Pro” model, $100-150 jump is expected for premium features, landing in the $350-450 range for a comparable kit. Pricing should remain competitive with rivals like the Rode Wireless Pro, which offers pro features at around $400.
If the rumours are true, then for sure, DJI will dominate the audio market space just like they are dominating the drone market space. However, we are waiting for further confirmation and actual leaked images of the DJI Mic 3 Pro before we get any rock-solid information—we have to balance excitement. Stay tuned for LIVE updates at thenewcamera.com.

So, finally, we are getting more confirmation that the DJI Neo 2 is coming in November 2025. Now, why are we saying “more confirmation”? Since the article we posted on September 27, 2025, the latest update related to the DJI Neo 2, we clearly mentioned that the announcement is about to happen in November 2025. The FCC Embargo date will lift on January 15, 2026. Additionally, the sub-250g drone builds on the original Neo’s beginner appeal, but don’t get confused with its palm-sized design; it does have dynamic capabilities of tiny FPV for dynamic content creation. We have already shared reports on FCC battery details and comprehensive specs.. If you’re hunting for DJI Neo 2 intel, here’s the breakdown on leaks, specs, and availability.
DJI Neo 2 Coming in November 2025: Timeline Confirmation and Launch Buzz
Aadhar sir, claiming that the internal dealer forecast locks the date of mid-November, and this is not the first time the dealer has broken through the internet. It has been roaming around for a month or so.
Another factor that made us believe the announcement will happen in the month of November is the DJI announcement cycle and their pattern in general. After the registration of their product, they generally take 112 to 115 days to announce their product, and they never touch the FCC barrier limit of 180 days, even in the rarest scenario.
As per the initial information we shared with you in our previous post, it hints at a timeline of Nov 10 to Jan 10. FCC ID SS3-DEN225 was filed June 17, 2025, and publicized July 25, typically signaling a 3–4 month window to market. We are expecting the arrival of Neo 2 in November 2025, even if delayed. FCC Embargo Deadline January 15, 2026. So, the announcement of the Neo 2 is expected to happen before January 15, 2026.

Why a Beginner Drone is Perfect for Newcomers
Starting with drones with propeller guards, so even if you smash them into a wall, they remain safe for the next flight. Most beginner drones also feature auto-hover, subject follow & tracking, as well as app-based controls. As per the industry experts, over 70% of new pilots start with sub-250g drones. Why? Basically, to skip FAA registration hassles in the U.S., and just after the light-weight drone, we also have the Nano category for indoor shoots, and they also have wireless mic synchronisation to record your clear voice in the video.
Now, it’s time to select the best beginner drone, but even before that, what things should you keep in mind before you purchase your first drone
Key Features to Look for in the Best Beginner Drones 2025
Before jumping into the list of best beginner drones, let’s have a look at the key factors that we should keep in mind before purchasing our first drone as a beginner
- Weight Under 250g: Yes, best to start with Nano drones if ur a content creator, those under 150gm, but if you like to invest more, it’s completely ok to get the more expensive ones out there, but try to avoid registration issues in many countries; by keeping the grossweight under 249 gm.
- Flight Time: Aim for 20-30 minutes per battery. Or plan for getting extra batteries alongside the drone or later on, means having extra batteries doesn’t break the flow of your content
- Camera Quality: At least 4K video and 12MP photos for shareable content. 4K has become the norm in YouTube and other social media platforms
- Safety Tech: Propeller guards, return-to-home (RTH), and GPS for worry-free flights.
- Controls: Smartphone app integration or simple remotes; bonus for hand-launch.
- Price: $100-$500 range for value without skimping on essentials. Pls, don’t spend too much at the beginning, even if you have a higher level of budget, technology adaptation takes time. Starting with simple ones is the best for a smooth start
- Battery and Portability: Quick-swap batteries and foldable designs for on-the-go use.
Long-tail tip: If you’re eyeing the best cheap drone for beginners 2025, stick to models like the DJI Neo, which is available under $200, so now it’s time to explore the list
Top 5 Best Drones for Beginners in December 2025
Based on hands-on testing, real user reviews, and the latest updates for December 2025, here are our selected best of the best drones, based on your budget and requirements. Meaning, these will stand out for reliability, ease, and bang-for-buck.

1. DJI Neo – Best Overall for Absolute Beginners
As someone who’s used the DJI Neo for months, I can confidently say that it’s a fantastic little Nano drone for capturing content on the fly. The best part I like about this drone is its palm takeoff mode and the follow me mode that tracks me like a personal cinematographer, perfect for a vlog-style shoot. Daylight footage of this 4K drone is crisp, clear, and great, though it struggles a bit in dim light. I was hoping for seamless DJI Mic integration without extra gear, but I still need to sync audio in editing. The battery life of the drone is about 17 Minutes per charge, it is good for small, short-style videos. Buy, if ur creating something cinematic and storytelling vlogs with it, then pls keep some spares of batteries for longer sessions.
Pros:
- Ultra-portable
- crash-resistant, since it has built-in guards.
- AI-powered tracking with automated modes
- Affordable
- DJI’s ecosystem.
Cons:
- Shorter 18-minute flight time.
- Limited range (100m via phone; better with optional remote).
Price: $199 – Available at Amazon USA |
Best For: Urban explorers
Update: DJI NEO 2 has been announced in China, Asia | European Announcement will happen on Nov 13, 2025 | If DJI escapes the Dec Ban, then Neo 2 will become available to the USA

2. DJI Flip – Best for Vloggers and Safe Selfie Shots
The DJI Flip, launched in early 2025, features a very unique foldable design with full-coverage propeller guards, is very easy to carry, and kinda of collision-proof body construction. Weighing just 249g with no registration for the FAA. It can do palm takeoff/landing just like the DJI neo and subject tracking for continuous shoot of moving subject, Flip can capture 4K videos up to 60fps video with 10-bit colour and a 48MP high resolution sensor for perfect still images. The drone is also loaded with a forward obstacle sensor, despite such a collision-proof body with propeller guards.
The Flip captures higher latitude video files with 10-bit D-Log, and once the battery is fully charged, the total flight time we are getting is 31 minutes. You can keep an extra spare battery if ur are into wedding cinematography or do long hours of aerial cinematography. Max range up to 13km with the RC 2 remote. That said, it struggles in moderate winds due to its light weight, lacks full omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
Pros:
- Bounce-back style body for new users
- Forward obstacle avoidance sensor
- Very smooth flight experience, and with RC2, u get a Max range of 13 km.
Cons:
- Only forward avoidance (no full omnidirectional).
Best For: Content creators
Price: $439 with controller at Amazon USA

3. DJI Mini 4K – Best Budget 4K Option
An excellent drone is available at its lowest price right now at $249 at Amazon USA. If you apply the Amazon Store card, the overall price of the drone goes down to $169. offer details below this post. But, before that, let’s talk about the things I like and don’t like about the drone. The 4K camera with 3-axis gimbal stabilisation delivers very crisp and clear image quality, the video is very smooth, as well as the cinematic capture mode equipped with QuickShots modes like Helix or Circle that add pro-level flair without much effort. The drone weighs less than 250g. So, it doesn’t require any sort of FAA registration. The overall battery life of the DJI Mini 4k is approx 20-25 minutes in real-world flights, which means it’s the perfect time for creating short videos or reels., If you need longer sessions than you have, you can buy an extra set of batteries available in the bundle package at Amazon USA. Basically, the Mini 4k is the best drone for beginners who can invest a bit more than the Neo.
Pros:
- Crisp video and enhanced low-light performance
- DJI Fly app Support
- No obstacle avoidance needed for basic flights.
Cons:
- Lacks advanced tracking features.
- Standard battery keeps it under 250g; upgrade adds weight.
Price: $249 at Amazon.com
Best For: Social media enthusiasts on a budget

4. DJI Mini 4 Pro – Best Premium Beginner Drone
DJI Mini 4 Pro is one of the best entry-level Professional models ever created by DJI. The omnidirectional obstacle avoidance makes navigating tricky spots stress-free. No other drone maker offers this level of collision protection at this price. Another thing is Flight stability and range. The drone itself is highly stable even at higher altitudes. It comes with an extended video transmission range of 20km. Weighing under 249g, it’s travel-friendly and doesn’t require FAA registration for recreational use. The Standard battery gives us a flight time of 34 minutes, and with the extended Plus battery, you get a flight time of 45 Minutes. The Mini 4K also features ActiveTrack 360° and advanced QuickShots, which allow for capturing dynamic, professional-grade shots without putting too much effort, It’s my go-to for stunning aerial vlogs and photos, balancing portability and performance perfectly.
Pros:
- Collision protection / Full safety
- Portrait mode for vertical video.
- Expandable with accessories.
- Extended Range 20Km
- Best in class Stability
- Excellent video and Photo Quality
Cons:
- Higher price point.
- Learning curve for advanced modes.
Price: $759 (Fly More Combo)
Best For: Actually a PRO Drone, ready to deliver best exceptional performance

5. Potensic Atom 2 – Best Value Alternative to DJI
See, we have to keep an eye on another set of options in comparison to DJI drones. You know the ongoing DJI drone issue going on, and yes, there is a big chance that DJI will get banned this December 2025. Btw, the best alternative, in comparison to DJI drones, is available exactly in $359 price range (same as the DJI mini 4K)
I have flown out both the drones, technically, DJI is a drone giant and has been making drones for ages, so the flight of Mini 4K is more stable than in Potensic Atom 2, but at the end, if DJI is not available then the only option we have is Atom 2 in the price range of Sub $300 drones, yes, you will not be disappointed with the Potensic Atom 2
The Potensic Atom 2 is a solid sub-250g drone, so no FAA registration is required. The drone captures very good quality 4K/30fps video from a 1/2-inch Sony CMOS sensor with 3-axis gimbal stabilisation, detailed 48MP stills. The ATOM 2 also has subject tracking like DJI drones (like Parallel and Spotlight modes. Once the battery if fully charged, the drone gives you a flight time of 32 Minutes. Overall, the Atom 2 is a highly usable drone at its price and a good alternative to the DJI mini 4K drone if it’s not available.
Pros:
- Smooth gimbal stabilisation.
- Excellent app with waypoint planning.
- Competitive pricing for features.
Cons:
- No collision avoidance.
- Not as smooth a flying experience as the DJI mini 4K
- Internal storage is limited.

Features like RockSteady stabilisation, Horizon Balancing, AI subject tracking (potentially ActiveTrack 6.0), six QuickShot options, and basic obstacle avoidance with front/back/bottom sensors.
The Neo 2 will have the O4 technology, offering a range of up to 10 km, which is obviously FCC compliant, and it will have 22GB of onboard internal storage. No need for a separate SD card initially, as it will be compatible with DJI Fly, and obviously, voice commands and gesture moves. The RC motion controller will add more versatility to the drone.

Vlog with Clear Audio
The new DJI Neo drone will have the DJI Mic 3 compatibility onboard, and it will sync easily with multiple transmitters/microphones. US Ban Risk and Availability Issues
This drone is free from any sort of US ban in the ultra-low light category, but some issues exist between the US and the DJI makers. Due to this uncertainty, US Customs largely detains most of the DJI products. US Customs has detained DJI products under the Uyghur Forced Labour Prevention Act (UFLPA), citing unproven links to forced labour—claims DJI refutes, emphasising production in Shenzhen and Malaysia. This has impacted models like the DJI Mini 5 Pro and Mavic 4 Pro and could delay the DJI Neo 2 in the US. Political pressures, including proposed FCC bans, add uncertainty for 2026.
Stay tuned, we will soon post more updates.

DJI Osmo Nano has become very popular after its release, and a lot of people are buying this ultralight 52-gram POV camera. This wearable camera is one of the best for cyclists, runners, and adventure seekers, as well as daily life content creators, to record their activities. But just after its purchase, many people have noticed that the camera comes with 4K 60FPS mode. But, with the recent firmware update, it quietly axed the 4K 60FPS option in 4:3 mode, which has made a lot of users frustrated and scrambling for solutions. If you are one of its early users, then you have noticed that option, so let’s take a look in detail at what went wrong, to determine if it is possible to restore the previous update.
The Osmo Nano: A Tiny Titan With Big Promises
DJI Osmo Nano is one of the smallest DJI action cameras yet, specifically designed for hands-free capture. The camera measures only about 57mm × 29mm × 28mm, making it very small and easy to carry without adding significant weight. One of the most compact and advanced POV cameras DJI has ever made.
The twist and turn head starts when the official specs list 4K (4:3) at up to 50FPS, with options like 3840 × 2880 at 24/25/30/48/50FPS. But, out of the box, the camera was able to deliver 60FPS mode in 4:3 – a welcome surprise for smoother playback on 60Hz+ screens. “After powering the camera on for the 1st time, I was surprised to see that 60FPS was available,” shared one Reddit user in a post that’s quickly gaining traction. Excitement was short-lived, though. Post-firmware update, the option vanished, forcing creators into 50FPS or dropping to 2.7K 60FPS, which comes with lower bitrates and compromised image quality. As the user lamented, “Frame pacing at 50FPS does not look good when watched on 60/120/240Hz displays.”
This isn’t just a minor glitch; it’s a downgrade that hits right where it hurts – fluidity and professional-grade output. Why would DJI tease users with a feature only to yank it away?

Echoes of the Osmo Action 5 Pro: Chipset Woes and Launch Hiccups
Digging deeper, it reminds me of the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, which was released with a Qualcomm chipset on a 4nm process with the new processor. DJI also introduced new algorithms for better efficiency and heat management. After the announcement, the DJI Action 5 Pro faced backlash over reduced bitrates compared to its predecessor. To prevent overheating at higher frame rates, the new algorithms worked on lower bitrates. This resulted in artifacts in high-contrast scenes. Finally, the users stepped in and demanded fixes via online forums and social media channels like X (formerly known as Twitter), and the good thing is, DJI listened – rolling out a firmware update that introduced a high-bitrate mode, and guess what, that only resulted in the cost of some battery life.
Similarly, as per recent speculations, a similar style of hardware is being used inside Osmo Nano, although DJI hasn’t confirmed the chipset. They are probably capping features to prevent overheating or instability of the newly announced Nano. The 60FPS removal could be a precautionary measure to address early bugs, very similar to the bitrate cap on the Action 5 Pro.
What This Means for Osmo Nano Owners – And the Future of DJI Updates
This firmware fiasco, the loss of 4K 60FPS in 4:3, is a blow, but there is some hope also. If users complain about the loss of mode and make others aware of the issue, it creates a set of possibilities that, in the next update, they may roll back the feature again for users.
But, if you are someone who is facing the same issue, you should join the Reddit forum and express your concern there – collective pressure has worked before.
