Let’s talk about the sample images of the recently announced Canon G1X mark III camera
Landscape captured from this camera absolutely look fine, you can see details even when viewed at 100%.
In the next image, its look like photographer has used a auto portrait mode while shooting this portrait, that’s why the skin quality is so soft it’s looks plastic when viewed at 100%.
 being a professional photographer I am not satisfied with the approach or method used with this camera to capture a portrait image, details are completely flat. Details are flat, image look like a smartphone selfie.

According to Canon official press release the recently announced Canon g1x Mark III camera features same image processor of Canon 77 d and image sensor from Canon EOS M5. let me tell you that the Canon EOS M5 sensor is arrived from Canon 80d camera potentially Canon g1x mark 3 camera is carrying it sensor which is one of the best Sensor ever made by Canon itself.
The Canon g1x mark 3 camera features 3x optical zoom however the aperture of the camera starts from 2.8 and goes upto 5.6 which may cause of depression among the professional photographers who uses bright lenses for their shoot.
we don’t have to think about the low light performance of the Camera sensor sensor is directly coming from EOSM5 / 80d, so the low light performance of the camera will be optimal.
Canon g1x Mark III camera is the fastest compact camera canon ever created with the help of dual pixel CMOS Technology. you don’t have to think twice about autofocusing a speed of the camera into going to do blazing fast auto focusing with the help of new hybrid autofocus sensor.
Unfortunately the camera record full HD videos only so if you are ok fine then you should wait for Panasonic LX 200 that is expected to arrive this year.
Overall it is a good compact camera, and by increasing the sensor size of the Canon g1x series 10 and does excellent job and even some of the Nikon users who already owner Coolpix a series camera will going to buy this cam for sure.
