Sony – No Medium Format Camera Coming according to Sony, In an interview Sony staff confirmed to DCWatch that they are busy in developing and expanding the current A and E-mount camera,
Take a look at the main points of the interview
1) With SLT they have more option to implement new technology inside due the presence of more space.
2) Big sensor camera and more megapixels depends on the market demand, at present Main demand is improve the autofocus performance
3) Sony will going to implement a non-bayer sensor in future, but they are in development stage now.
4) Sony is working on Light Field camera and expected to arrive soon.
5) Hybrid shutters with more range are also coming.
6) According to Sony, the DSLR sales are down due to lack o innovation, sales of mirrorless are up due to the advance technology inside it, not due to the size difference.
7) Both APS-C and Full Frame sensor cameras have a future. Wild life photographers prefer APS-C while landscape photographers prefer FF.
8) They say, It might not be so important to add 5 axis on the A7r yet. It means no 5-axis coming to A7R II.

We already read a lot rumors about about the Sony upcoming Megapixel monster camera, now its time to look at the first set of leaked specification of the upcoming A9 camera, take a look at the rumored specification,

– 46 Megapixel Bayer sensor

– 100-25,600 ISO (extended 50 and 51,200)

– 4K output (no internal 4K recording)
We may see a real product at the upcoming CES 2014 show, price is rumored to be around $4000 and the same 46MP FF sensor is also expected to arrive inside the upcoming Nikon and Canon high resolution Megapixel camera.

After Canon (see here) Nikon also confirmed that they are working on a high resolution fullframe camera (via – DCwatch), the camera will possibly use the rumored 46 Megapixel sensor developed by Sony. Finally we got confirmation from Canon that they are working on a high resolution DSLR, Just few days ago Masaya Maeda – Canon Managing Director and Chief Executive, Image Communication Products Operations at Canon he said “We select the best sensor, whoever the manufacturer is. That’s our policy.” Now in an interview published at DCWatch Masaya Maeda – finally confirmed that Canon is working on a Megapixel Monster
Q: Will high pixel size image sensor coming soon?
A: I am working on the high pixel camera. There are two ways of roughly divided into high pixel and high sensitivity to user needs. Although Canon doesn’t have any high megapixel or high sensitivity system , I think Canon is going to working on that in the future.
High pixel camera towards users who want high resolution image. This is the camera, such as was up the number of pixels while maintaining the pixel quality. I will expand a group of EF lenses for this camera, please do not ask any more (laughs).

 Earlier there was rumor that Samsung NX400 is coming on February 2015, but the latest rumors surfaced at sammobile says that the Samsung NX300 successor is coming very soon (possibly in 1st week of Jan), but its name is not a NX400, they skipped the NX400 name and according to trusted sources of samobile the upcoming camera name is Samsung NX500. The camera is rumored to feature the Tizen based OS (same as of NX300 camera), take a look at the rumored specification of the upcoming camera…

New Sony CES teaser surfaced over the web, the teaser says: “A New World of beautiful colors and rich detail” , at this moment we are not confirmed that the teaser is about a upcoming new Xperia TV, a video camera or a new Mirrorless camera.
However in past we have received a bunch of rumors that Sony is developing a high resolution fullframe mirrorless camera, so there is also a possibility that we may see a new FF mirrorless camera from Sony.
