According to an interview published at Thibault Roland website Top engineer working on the A7R II development said that…
We were confirmed that AF of Canon lenses was “much faster than before. With adapters (and in particular with a firmware updated Metabones Mark IV) Canon lenses are almost as fast as on a Canon body“. Read the full interview
That clearly show the Sony A7R II camera was intentionally built to make a space among Canon users, I appreciate this strategy and I also hope Samsung should follow the same path with its upcoming mirrorless camera’s.

We have already published the Ricoh GR II leaked image few days ago and also told you that camera is expected to arrive this month, now it’s major set of specification surfaced today, the sensor will feature better low-light performance compared to its predecessor however the leaked specification doesn’t give any details about the resolution or ISO range of the camera…
Take a look at the leaked specification (written in Bold Text) and its detailed analysis below…
The Lens is same as as its predecessor, the camera features fixed focal length lens with a 35mm equivalency, the lens is built with Two aspherical lens elements that minimize aberrations for sharpness.
The image processor is also same as of its predecessor, so we don’t have hope for any significant change in the Auto-focus performance and continuous shooting speed of the camera.
- Improved auto white balance
- Improved high sensitivity noise
Let’s hope for the best that the upcoming camera will have significant improvement in the image quality compared to its predecessor.
- Wi-Fi and NFC
- Smartphone cooperation function
The upcoming camera will going to feature built-in NFC and WiFi, the camera can share its files effortlessly with other smart devices and also you can use/control your camera from a distance via NFC.

 The Most important part of today’s rumor is Canon 1DX Mark II will arrive before Canon 5D mark IV, however there is no other detailed information available about the Canon 1DX Mark II camera.
Some more glimpse of information about the Canon 5D Mark IV also surfaced over the web, The Shipping of Canon 5D Mark IV will begin from Q1 of 2016, the most important thing to latest leak says the upcoming 5D Mark IV does have 4K…. take a look at the rumored specification below…
- The EOS 5D Mark IV will come after the EOS-1D X Mark II announcement.
- Q1 of 2016 is the ship time Canon is aiming for.
- EOS 5D Mark IV will have 4K.
- New Speedlite metering system coming with the EOS-1D X Mark II & EOS 5D Mark IV.
- Sensors ranging from 18mp to 28mp are in testing for full frame cameras.

from the specification it clearly look at that several prototypes of the camera are under testing by having different sensors, take this rumor with a pinch of salt. we will update you soon as we get any new information.

 This is really a strange rumor since according to the source of SAR website some of the prototypes of the Sony A7R II exist in the wild by having curved sensor inside.
We can’t deny the possibility but Take this rumor with a grain of salt,

We have published the Sony curved sensor patent on July 6th, 2014, we have also published the sample image captured by curved sensor camera [see here].
