According to the latest rumors surfaced over the web, after the Pansonic GH7 update now Panasonic will revive the “S” series of full-frame cameras. The Panasonic S1H Mark II is said to be one of the announcement pipelines, expected to arrive in Q4 of 2024. published on June 9, 2024

Panasonic Lumix S1H II may be released in the fourth quarter – According to the latest information, after the release of Panasonic GH7, the next update will be for the S series full-frame camera bodies. According to previous rumors, Lumix S1H II is among them, and it is expected to be officially released within this year (fourth quarter).

We have just published the news that Panasonic will soon update its major camera firmware to make it compatible with LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) autofocusing system.
Pics that show the Panasonic S1H camera working in calibration with the LiDAR autofocusing system + RS Pro 3 gimbal to stabilize the camera. Although We don’t have that much detail on how the autofocus performed during the test, the combination of LiDAR autofocusing system with RS Pro 3 gimbal and Lumix S1H camera isn’t a cheap package.
Instead putting time on Lidar Tech, they should announce S1H Mark II with Hybrid Sensor asap – TNC
At the same time, they say they have already DEVELOPED their hybrid CMOS SENSOR, and we have already seen it in the Panasonic S5 MARK II mirrorless camera. Then, instead of investing time and money in LiDAR autofocusing system, it’s better to announce a new series of updated sensors for all their pro cameras with a hybrid system that they already have.

Panasonic Upcoming cameras 2022-2023 Rumor
1. Panasonic S1H Mark II
- As per the latest rumors, Panasonic S1H mark II prototypes are capable to record DCI 8K30 10bit 4:2:2 videos internally, UHD 8k60fps 10 bit 4:2:2 internal. The AF performance of the S1H Mark II camera is at its peak at 4K 30fps.
- V-Log (Version 2.0)
- No word about the presence of Mechanical ND filters inside the camera as rumored earlier.
- The announcement at the end of 2022 or at the beginning of 2023
2. Panasonic S5 Mark II
The camera will have a new image processor, enhanced video mode and updated 3d AI AF tracking performance.
3. Panasonic G200 / G100 Mark II
Updated Video mode and new image processor to improve AF performance of the camera. Also, we may see a surprise along with G200’s arrival.
If everything goes on schedule then we will have S5 Mark II and G200 on or before Q4 of 2022
