We are getting more confirmation that the Nikon Z 6 Mark III camera will carry a 24-megapixel sensor. This information recently broke out from a Chinese source, which is approximately 90% of the time correct in the past. He also said that the Nikon Z7 Mark III camera will carry a 61-megapixel sensor.
So at this time, we got one more confirmation that not only the Z 6 Mark 3 camera is coming, but the Nikon Z7 Mark 3 is also set to arrive. The Nikon Z73 will have a huge upgrade in the sensor resolution from a 45-megapixel FX format BSI mass sensor. The upcoming camera will carry a 61 MP Sensor as per the latest set of rumors we have.

A source claims that the Nikon Z7 Mark III Camera uses a 67 MP sensor made by TowerJazz, and as usual, the Nikon Z6 Mark III camera uses a 24 MP Sensor.
Is Nikon testing out several prototypes of higher-resolution sensors?
As we all know, before a camera goes to the final production line, camera makers test several prototypes. So, maybe both of them are correct, but we don’t know at this moment which camera was made for the final production line.
This reminds me of the post that I published back in Aug 2022, when Nikon China accidentally published an image of a 67 67-megapixel resolution Camera on their social media account. However, at that time, we thought maybe the upcoming Nikon Z8 camera may carry a higher-resolution sensor. But, as we all know, the Nikon Z8 uses a 45.7 MP Sensor. So, that means they do have a working prototype of a 67MP body, and they have been testing it for a long time.
So, now the story is taking its final shape. Nikon does have a 67 MP working prototype, and recent rumors suggest that there is one 61 MP too. Now let’s wait and watch which prototypes get approval for the final production line

We have updated this post with the latest cameras that may arrive in 2024, Now 2023 was an amazing year; we had the Nikon Z8 and Nikon ZF camera announcement. At the same time, we were kept waiting for the Nikon Z6 Mark III camera, but it didn’t arrive. Both EOS R and Sony A7 4 cameras feature a 30 and 33 MP sensor respectively. We know that the Canon EOS R update is arriving, with a 30 MP sensor inside it. Nikon will introduce the Z9 AI AF system to the Nikon Z6 Mark III Camera. To improve the overall AF performance of the Nikon Z6 Series cameras.
With the introduction of a new image processor, the camera makers also introduce new image recording algorithms and AI AF algorithms. If Nikon wants to follow up on the market competition they have to use Nikon Z9 Expeed 7 Image processor.
Type of AF modes expected to arrive inside the Z6 Mark III – 9 types of simultaneous subject detection in both stills and videos. We will experience a significant technological upgrade in the AF performance of the camera compared to the existing Z6 Mark II.

10-bit internal video recording, they have to introduce it, Nikon has no other way left. 4K 60p Oversampled file, 10 Bit internal Recording, and a Vari-angle display screen. Nikon Z7 Mark III is a higher-resolution sensor-based body, so there is a high possibility if Nthe ikon Z8 arrives early then the Nikon Z7 Mark III camera may get delayed for 7 to 8 months (to recover the sales ). Nikon will never announce two high-res. sensor bodies at the same time.
3. Nikon Z90 / Z70
Nikon D500 camera replacement or you can also call it, Nikon Z90 Z70. (name not confirmed yet) is expected to arrive in the year 2023. The only details we have related to the upcoming Nikon APS-C flagship camera is

Nikon Z50 Mark II is overdue for an update and is expected in 2023, but it has been delayed expected arrival time is 2024. N-Log, HDR, and Full HD 240fps Videos will arrive inside the Z50 Mark II Camera.
5. Nikon Z5 Mark II
Nikon Z5 Mark II update is also expected to arrive in 2023. The Nikon Z5 was announced back in July 2020. We are expecting a new Z5 camera in Q4 of 2022. This year we are expecting a major boost in the AF tracking performance of the camera as well as full sensor readout while recording 4k videos.

Nikon was expected to announce two cameras in 2022, the Nikon N2120 and Nikon 2121. We already have the Nikon 2121 camera and it’s the Nikon Z30. Now, the big question is whether the recently announced Nikon ZFC Black edition (press release) is Nikon 2120 or the upcoming Nikon Z8, we will post more updates soon.

The rumor mill is only talking about Nikon Z8 camera in the leaked roadmap which is said to arrive in the month of March 2023, but in the same roadmap Z6 Mark III and Z7 Mark III is also mentioned with the announcement date of Sep 2022, but no one is talking about them. Why?
PS: The Nikon Upcoming Camera Roadmap says the Nikon Z5 uses a BSI CMOS sensor, which is false. The Nikon Z5 Camera uses an FSI Sensor. So, from the nature of information we are getting from this isn’t 100% accurate and the lens road-map is old (made before the announcement of the Nikon Z5 camera.)
