That clearly indicates the Dynamic range of both the camera, Nikon Z7 or Nikon D850 remains almost same. Although the Nikon Z7 do carry a completely redesigned sensor, but at the end we are getting same test results.

Banding issue is something which occasionally occurs in Sony Mirrorless cameras (See Sony A7 III banding issues).
