Nikon High-End Premium Compact Camera Coming in early 2016

We all know that Nikon is not updating its high-end compacts from over a year but according to some recent rumors floating over the web Nikon will soon announce a RX100 series like compact camera with 1″ sensor and they will also soon announce the successor of Nikon Coolpix A camera with APS-C sensor.

The cameras will be tagged as “always in your bag” and targeted for pro and semi-pro users.

The rumor is not new and we are reporting it from past few months and thenewcamera.

Why do believe the rumor we have received is true because month ago an interview to mobile01.com Nikon representatives said

Q: Any new Coolpix A? Any plans to respond to Canon and Sony’s 1-inch sensor fixed-lens compact cameras?
A: Sony’s 1-inch CSC is definitely very successful. We will have a competing product in the future.

The source also said that the AF system of the camera will remain same, however the AF speed will increase due to new image processor and advance AF algorithm.

Nikon Coolpix A II / 10000 to feature 24.2MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor

Nikon Professional compact cameras update is due for more than 1 year, but why we picked this topic today since according to email we received from a new source

Nikon will use 20.2 MP 1 inch in upcoming large sensor compact camera and 24.2MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor in the successor of Nikon coolpix A, that clearly means that the upcoming Nikon coopix A II camera will get a 24.2 MP sensor and Nikon P8000 (or may be a completely new model) will get a large 1″ inch 20 MP sensor.

Why do believe the rumor we have received is true because Few days ago an interview to mobile01.com Nikon representatives said

1. Nikon D400: After the announcement of Canon 7D Mk II there is a high probability that Nikon will soon announce Nikon D300s successor Nikon D400/ a flagship APS-C camera better than the current Nikon D71000 DSLR.

2. Nikon Coopix A II – Nikon coolpix A Successor will sure feature a 24 MP DX format sensor, built without low-pass filter and new image processor , the expected arrival date is Q1 of 2015.

3. Nikon P8000 – Nikon will use Sony or Aptina 1 inch sensor in its upcoming ultra slim compact camera, the announcement is expected along with Nikon coolpix A II.

1. Nikon D9300 [probability 100%] – Nikon D300s discontinued by Nikon at Janauary 2014 and its successor Nikon D9300 is rumored to be announced on September 2014, the camera will feature New Sensor, Advance AF system and rugged design compared to Nikon D7100.

2. Nikon Coopix A Successor [probability 80%] – As we have told you earlier that upcoming Nikon coolpix A will feature a 24 Mehapixel DX format sensor and advance core specification compared to Nikon coolpix A.

3. Nikon P8000 – [probability 70%] We have been confirmed multiple times that Nikon will soon announce a Nikon P8000 compact camera large 1 inch sensor.
