 We have compared all the (best) mid-range travel zoom camera available in market today – Canon SX520 HS vs Nikon P530 vs Sony HX300, the specification of Sony HX300 really impressed us.. take a look at the specification details below…
 Out of all these three camera only Sony HX300 features 50X optical zoom lens whereas Canon and Nikon limited to 42X optical zoom, the wide-end aperture range of Sony is better than Nikon and Canon and Sony also features very broad ISO range from 80-12800. Based on specification sheet Sony HX300 will provide better image quality and more zoom than Canon SX520 HS and Nikon P530.
Macro shooting is bit better with Canon and Nikon since they both support 0 cm macro focus range on the other side Sony limited to 1 cm.

Few hours ago Canon India loaded a teaser image “Something Big is Coming”,… the teaser image is saying “get your camera ready” so this could mean replacement of EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS lens or any other lens(es) form Canon is coming?
… other possibilities include
- Announcement of Canon 7D Mark II camera, since 7D Mark II discontinued few days ago and waiting for its replacement
- Canon SX60 HS with Big 60X+ Zoom Lens,
- Canon G17 compact camera with big sensor?
but wait it is also possible that it will be a regional announcement .. just like Canon china did few days ago…. they announced G1X Mark II camera after this teaser.

UPDATE – Pentax upcoming camera name is not Q2 it’s Q-S1
Pentax Q2 Q-S1 camera images leaked today and expected to announce anytime soon, the camera will be available in black, gold, white and gunmetal colors. however no details about the specification available yet.
Pentax Q is a mirrorless system that uses small 1/1.7″ CMOS Sensor, same size of sensor used in Nikon P310, P7000, Canon S200 and Canon G16 cameras.

Finally we got the confirmation that Sigma will announce its next flagship SD DSLR camera with same sensor as of dp2 Quattro Digital Camera, the next SD DSLR announcement is expected on photokina 2014….
During a interview, Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki, said “As the first camera to have the new sensor, we chose the dp because of the shockless body and the dedicated lens optimized for the ultra high-resolution capturing.” Yamaki said of the sensor, “Of course, we’re planning to use the sensor for the SLR SD body.”
the old sigma SD1 DSLR uses the same sensor of Sigma ‘Merrill’ camera, Sigma SD1 was announced at Photokina 2010.

 According to latest rumors Nikon may announce medium format camera system at Photokina 2014, the upcoming camera will use newly announced 50 Megapixel Sony Medium Format Sensor.
